HDMI port stopped working on Satellite L655

Hi all

I've always been able to connect my laptop to the TV via an HDMI cable, but it has stopped working. Any body had the same problem or knows how to solve? Its model L655.

Thank you

Hello

All you have to do, is to connect the laptop to the TV via an HDMI cable, then choose it right to access on your HDMI TV and finally use the FN + F5 button to switch to the external output.

By the way: have you tried to reinstall the display/graphic driver?

    Hello

I have a Satellite C665, model No. psc55a-013008. He hasn t skipped a beat so far in nearly a year, but the port HDMI has stopped working properly. In the settings screen it recognizes a TV, will even you say the brand and model, the TV also picks up an inadequate signal and no picture or sound will be played through the TV.

"I did a little research (also bought the new HDMI cable without success) but apparently a new driver for the HDMI Control Manager" will solve this problem, but my model was not in compatibility with the driver, and I can t find a compatible, could you please help me? Maybe a link to where I can find the driver for my model, I also can't find the 'HDMI Control Manager' in the device to update here either Manager.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

HDMI Control Manager is a tool of Toshiba released for laptops special models.
For example you can find the HDMI Control Manager in the field of driver Qosmio F750.
But there is no HDMI for Satellite C665/660 series Control Manager and to be honest I don t think it might be the solution in your case.

First I would recommend you to use the Fn + F5 option to check whether you can switch to an external monitor/TV.
Usually, this is the option which should be used to get external displays the output.

In addition, I recommend setting the BIOS to the default settings.

  • USB ports stopped working unexpectedly

Hi, I am currently on "Toshiba Satellite C655"run"Windows 7 Home Premium". It's a laptop of 2009 model (2 GB). Last night (24/02/14) my USB Ports stopped working, they have been and continue to read anything every time I have to plug my devices. I usually only connect a cooling block and a USB mouse to the computer. They worked perfectly until I disconnected the. When I reconnect them, they work momentarily, and then I hear the beep sounds when you eject a device. I tried to connect several flashdrives, a printer, and one I tried the following hotfixes:

Note: The order of numbering has nothing to do with the order, I tried to apply each patch unless specified elsewhere. This computer had Windows 7 Home Premium REINSTALLED at some point. Just for your information. This message was made when there are others with the same problem is due to the fact that no solution not specified by Microsoft Technical Support or the Microsoft community were effective.

    1) System Restore to the last known point, where they worked (and still). (Point restoration @ 15/02/24)

    2) Windows Update

    3) turn off the computer, disconnect the battery and the power supply and holding 'On' button for 10seconds.

(Note: whenever I turn on the computer now they work only for a moment, usually from 60 to 180 seconds.)

    (4) Start > research ' Device Manager '> "De Bus USB controllers" Expand and turn off and restart the computer. They are re - activate automatically but my problem persists.

    (5) download and run "Microsoft FixIt.WinUSB... ", on the 1st, I had a problem with devices not updated. But I actually watch updates by using Windows Update and ""searching for hardware changes "" on USB Bus controllers "." I then did a 'System Restore' and now Microsoft FixIt found no problem but the USB Ports don't always work.

    (6) will ' services.msc"and change the Startup Type of Manual to Automatic for Windows install and restart Windows."

    7) regedit

    8) sfc/scannow

I am really lost with this problem now. My laptop works and worked perfectly fine until this problem occurred. I have fixed minor problems with computers before, but this is a bad joke for me now. If someone could please help me with this problem I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your help, but I discovered something funny on my computer. My cooling package (product name: Laptop Cooling Pad NSB;) HYCF-6181-2 model number) is to disable my USB ports when I plug. If I leave it unplugged and restart my computer, my USB mouse is still working on a port. Also tried using my USB and other devices. The problem is my block of cooling that strangely disables my USB ports, whenever I plug. Thank you very much for your quick response, fortunately the answer might help me in the future. For now, I have solved my problem.

  • HDMI port stops when stowing E7450 processor and controller

I have recently received a new E7450 processor and controller to replace an E7440. My E7440 worked perfectly in my PROX3 docking station. I have three monitors (right now, just try with two until the issue is resolved). Again, my E7440 works PERFECTLY with all three connected monitors. I connect two of them to the back of the docking station (VGA/DVI). The third is connected directly to the laptop's HDMI port. I used this configuration during the previous several years and two laptops from Dell.

Now that I've updated for E7450 processor and controller, HDMI port ceases to push graphics as soon as the laptop is connected. Two other monitors work fine. Here is what I tried:

    1. I disconnected the other two monitors (ensuring that this isn't a problem with the graphics card does not support three monitors).

    2. I then plugged into the HDMI Jack on the laptop - nothing

    3. I seconded the portable - PHOTO! YAY!

    4. I have connected the laptop - photo gone, boo!

    5. Rinse and repeat in many different ways.

ALSO, in which case it is suggested, I have already updated all drivers (BIOS, chipset, GPU, etc.).

Conclusion, the laptop docking station seems to just close the HDMI port. How can I get that laptop to the HDMI port to continue working moored?

    * UPDATE *.

I unplugged the other monitors of the docking station and the connected HDMI monitor started working. I reconnected it then either the docking station monitors and monitor HDMI immediately lost the connection again. For some reason, this laptop is not allow both HDMI and VGA or DVI to work simultaneously.

Never found a solution to the problem with HDMI works not as any other view is hung. That being said, I've found a workaround. I hope this helps others.

Rephrase the question more clearly - I have an E6420 E7440 and a processors E7450 and controller. I installed Windows 7 Professional on all three laptops. Each laptop has all the updates applied and latest windows drivers. The E6420 and the E7440 both work with a connection HDMI, VGA and DVI (HDMI on the laptop itself, VGA/DVI on the docking station). E7450 processor and controller, although it has the same exact port as the E7440 design, does NOT allow for the HDMI port to work as any other display (VGA, DVI or DP) port is connected.

Fortunately, the E7450 processor and controller has a mini DP to this topic. I bought an adapter mini DP to HDMI and connected my third monitor to the card and the mini DP port on the laptop. Now, all three monitors are working once more.

Now Interestingly if I connect the mini DP to my E7440, it does NOT work while the other monitors are connected. So for the E7440, can I use the HDMI connection, but NOT the DP connection. Just the opposite with the processors E7450 and controller.

  • USB ports stop working after windows 7 updates (April 12, 2011)

After application of the 12 updates successfully (KB890830, KB2508272, KB2506223, KB250212, KB2508429, KB2507618, KB2509553, KB2503658, KB2506014, KB2491683, KB2511455 and KB2446710), my USB ports stopped working after restart. I get this description of Device Manager: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

I restored the functionality of USB ports by doing a system restore before installing updates.

What should I do? Ignore ALL updates future windows 7, which leaves the system vulnerable? Help is appreciated thanks.

    I solved this.

Device-USB controllers-online standard uninstall online Manager pci improved to (do it twice) usb host controller, and then the scanner hardware change and let the win7 to reinstall the drivers.
Updates were corrupted somehow the drivers, you need to fix manually.
  • All USB ports stopped working Windows 7

Windows 7 Pro. All USB ports stopped working.  When I plug a usb card, windows makes the sound as it connects and the card gets power (light).  I see the map appear in disk drives in Device Manager.  The player does not display in windows Explorer or disk management.  In Device Manager, it has an exclamation point and says that the device cannot start.

Strangely, I have a USB keyboard and mouse and they work very well.

It's just the USB drives and chips and SD cards that are not displayed.

    I have:

    Reinstalled the drivers USB MB

Flashed the BIOS with the latest version

Tried to install the older USB drivers

Tried to let windows find the driver.

    Still does not

None of this has helped.  I ended up formatting the HD and reinstall windows from dvd.

This revealed that my USB multicard reader was bad.  When I unplugged the problem disappeared.

  • Satellite L850 - USB Port stopped working

    Hello guys,.

first sorry for my bad English, im from Germany.

My new clearly L850 satellite has had some problems with sound-Port USB.
I think it's the Usb3.0 Port on the left.
While I'm workin with an external keyboard, the USB Port has stopped working and cannot identify the keyboard.
All other devices that I put there, are out of order, but when I put an external hard Powerdevice with separate data for laptop, that he is there something ist connectet, but can't identify it.

I have try all troubleshooting close it, like install new drivers, disable ports and restart and any kind of it.

So maybe you have another tip for me?
Or do I have to bring my laptop to the store for warranty?
A Windows 8 64 bit on it, maybe it will help.

    Best regards, neothic

Have you tried reinstalling the driver USB 3.0? Please try and check the functionality. If this will not help I recommend you do the ultimate test: back up all your data and reinstall Win8 using recovery media. Test it with clean OS preinstalled and factory settings.

In the worst cases, you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

  • Output HDMI does not work on Satellite L775

    Hello.

I have a new Toshiba Satellite L775 with HDMI output.

I wanted to connect the laptop to my TV to watch pictures via HDMI.
    But it did not work.
I connected the laptop with HDMI cable for my Samsung - LCD - TV screen.
Time, wireless and TV are already functioning. (Normally I use the cable for TV receiver, with no problems).

I tried to change the output with Fn + F5 to TV-monitor (or TV-monitor & laptop).
But the TV does not detect not the laptop, in any case.

    What's wrong?

    Thanks for the solutions.

    Best regards
    WE34

I agree with Feliks if the TV supports different HDMI ports, you must make sure that the TV has been set to the correct HDMI port.
Choose in the settings of the TV the HDMI port and then you can use Fn + F5 to switch to the TV output.

I have laptop HP 2000 and all of a sudden HDMI port has stopped working. Factory restore and a chipset driver helped and it started working. my bad, I installed a graphics driver that took back me to sqaure one. HDMI port on the laptop does not work. • Display has stopped working on Satellite A300

    Hi guys,.

I have satellite a300 PSAg4a - 02500 m laptop. All of a sudden the display has stopped working on the laptop. I tried to plug in an external display, but it does not work also.

I can't even see the bios screen not. Laptops normally, I hear no beeps during startup, just the fact that there is no display.

This laptop has a M86 ATI graphics card 512 MB. Its out of warranty.

All had a similar experience. Is it possible to know what could be the problem.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thank you

    Hey Tama

I'm afraid there is a problem of serious material with your laptop from m.
I like the graphics card problem.
Usually if the internal screen would be defective, you should see all the external display. This is why I think you GPU is affected.

  • PCMCIA slot stopped working on Satellite Pro A40

    Hello

I have a SPA40 and it seems that the PCMCIA port has stopped working.
I had a Netgear WN511b wireless network adapter is connected and works fine.
Returned to the laptop after a few hours and everything froze upwards. Rebotted and got a * IDE 1 error * and since then the card did not work.

I tried the card in another phone, and it seems to work very well, and therefore assume that the slot became defective. I looked at the Device Manager and everything seems t work very well.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could try to fix this.

    Thanks a lot, in anticipation.

    Steve

    Hello

I wonder about the error message.
The error message what IDE #1 said that the device connected to the #1 IDE controller was not recognized by the BIOS.
In most cases the CD/DVD drive is connected to the IDE controller, and so your CD/DVD drive should not be recognized.

In your case, I would recommend access the BIOS, and then to set the BIOS parameters returned by default.

But I'm not sure if this would help you because in most cases, this question appears due to a hardware problem. And in most cases the affected material must be replaced.

    Welcome them

  • TosIPCSrv.exe has stopped working on Satellite A300

When I start my computer... (Vista) I have Toshiba Satellite A300
I get a warning said: TosIPCSrv.exe has stopped working

What it means? How should I do?

    Hello

Seems the TosIPCSrv.exe belongs to the Toshiba S.M.A.R.T. Log Service.
    This can be found in:

    C:\Program files\toshiba\smartlogservice\tosipcsrv.exe.

I'm not very well what is this process, but you could it enable or disable it in m
MSCONFIG (type this in the window RUN) and check the startup and Services tabs.
    You need to find tosipcsrv.exe

  • HDMI ports not working not not on kdl-40xbr4

Hello, I recently returned from vacation to find that a lot of my components and my tv did not work properly. Neighbors, said that there was a bolt of lightning very close at the time I was absent. My main problem now is that my kdl-40xbr4 has lost the use of its HDMI ports. The TV works as usual if the components are connected in any other way, but the HDMI ports will not work. If I select one of the ports HDMI the banner at the top will indicate which input is activated just as usual, but it will not go away because there is no picture or sound to come whether it is through the HDMI ports. Has anyone ever encountered this problem, and no one knows a solution?

Hello and welcome to the Discussion Forum for the users.

    1. turn off the TV and unplug all connections HDMI to the TV.
    2. turn on the TV and all by pressing on the arrow to the top of the remote control, press the power button on the TV.
    3. the TV will turn off, then turn it back on again and then release the up arrow button.

  • SQosmio G50 - 10 H - one of the usb ports stopped working

    Hello forum,.

I have a BOUNCING problem with usb ports on my qosmio g50-10 h.
There are two ports on the right side of the machine and I have 2 self-powered 7 centers of port (usb 2) attached to these.

Every now and then to stop it from ports and of course all the parts a unregcognised, not found.
I get error messages saying unregognised device or usb device stopped working or windows stopped device etc.

Unplug the hub and repluging it ususally actually come back to life.

    any ideas?

    Stafford

    Hello

Have you tried to connect devices directly to the USB port?
Try this and see if the USB device is disconnected, as you mentioned that using the external USB hub.

Generally speaking, it is difficult to say what might cause this
You could try updating the chipset driver.
Of course, you should also check the USB port settings, and power management options for economy.

In device manager-> USB root & hub-> properties you could disable for unique energy saving USB ports.
This also on Win 7 power management.
