He had to save a laptop HP 2000-2B10NR

Hello

I have a laptop HP 2000 - 2B10NR with a dead hard drive. If I buy a replacement HD from HP, this includes Windows?

Is it possible to somehow recover my Windows license key information, so I can do myself?

Is it possible to download or buy a recovery CDROM to reinstall on a new hard drive purchased elsewhere?

It is better to put $50 for a new disk, CDROM collection in this machine costs more, or should I just sell for parts?

Thank you

Alex

Glad you've got coverage.

It's a little scary, but I guess you need to get rough with her.

Yes, you can install a drive of 7 200 rpm and you can because you will get slightly better performance out of it.

  • Difficulty of starting a laptop HP 2000-2B10NR

    Hello

I have a HP 2000-2B10NR which had a faulty hard drive. I replaced the hard drive with a new and now need to boot from the DVD drive. I hit F9, choose "Internal DVD" to start as the first device, and it still won't start.

I know that the DVD that I use for boot is valid, as I tested it on another computer. Of course, it is possible that the DVD drive is faulty and the hard drive, but I doubt it. I hear it run when the computer starts.

Is there something I am missing, or is there another way so he can start without an external USB DVD drive?

    Thank you

    Hi, Dave:

In order to start up from another disk with a W8 PC you must change a setting in the BIOS.

  • Faulty keyboard HP 2000-2B10NR

I bought a laptop HP 2000-2B10NR with a faulty keyboard.  The key for the letter V is broken.  A HP technician took the position that the broken key was a misuse of the user and refused to do anything. Interesting take when position they never actually looked at home.  There is not a misuse of the user, making just of poor quality.

I replaced the keyboards before, and it is easier to do it myself than to deal with a HP technician less than helpful.  My questions: 1) can I replace the key individual or what I need to replace the entire keyboard? (2) does anyone know where I can buy the necessary spare parts? (3) are tutorials or Web pages on replacement keyboard for HP laptop?

You can replace a personal key as long as the points of attachment on the keyboard of origin are not damaged. Get an original with the material for mouning key can be a challenge. There are some eBay entrepeneurs that break the keyboards and sell different keys, but find yours is not always easy. I don't think that's it, but there are a few interesting Guides here and you can see it is difficult to get just the right key and support structure:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-L2000-laptop-keyboard-key-keys-replacement-kit-/130424717717?PT=US_Laptop_Replacement_Keyboards&hash=item1e5deb4195

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

    Your keyboard reference number is:

    698694 001

For $18 for the entire keyboard, it makes more sense to just replace:

You can replace 5 keyboards together in the time it takes to replace a key. It's like building a ship in a bottle get the support structure bit working just on the right. My old eyes aren't her a plus.

  • Problems of replacement of Windows 8 with Windows 7 on a laptop HP 2000-bf69WM

I just bought a laptop HP 2000 - bf69WM during the Black Friday at Wal-Mart last night sale. This morning, I pulled and he went right to the trying to repair right out of the box. I managed to get him to stop and I went to system restore and managed to get it started. Needless to say, I'm not at all impressed with Windows 8. I've heard of all the problems users have had with it. I tried to install Windows 7 on it, but it will not be installed. The BIOS shows Windows 8 as the operating system. How can I dump this CRAP of Windows 8 and install Windows 7 on this computer. It is not a bad machine, I wouldn't get rid of him during another screw up Microsoft.

try to remove the disc of windows 7 on reboot and put it back in after the windows 7 logo too good luck finding the network always in trouble with drivers.

  • HP 2000. : drivers required internal hardware for laptop HP 2000.

Maybe someone can help me get a pawn shop 'negotiate' return to a life of service exclusive of Linux.  The previous owner had appearantly attempted to retrograde Notepad of Windows 8 for Windows 7 using a Win7 recovery disc and a picture of another computer. Then of course the whole system, the recovery partition and everything, have been formatted away and replaced by an unauthorized and broken windows installation.  I'm OK on Ubuntu we so for now, but I may want to install a new copy of Windows and cannot find that site support of hardware drivers Web internal on my laptop HP 2000 (number of product C2M42UA) anywhere on the HP.  Before wiping away the unauthorized installation of Win7 I looked at the Device Manager and do not forget to Realtek HD audio and video Intel HD and have found the drivers elsewhere on the web, but cannot be sure that what I'm going to need.  I don't think remind me that with the bad install ethernet adapter was without a driver, for example.

Where to find a list of drivers for that to scavange the web?  Seems to me that if a hard disk failure will leave any HP computer newest in the worst form, since they replaced the recovery disks with a recovery partition on the hard drive, it is intended to restore.  Something I keep in mind in computer future shopping.

Windows 7 driver download page for your model:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-2000-2b00-notebook-PC-series/5296210/model/5305080#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

Remember, when you buy a new laptop they don't give you recovery discs. This has been true for many years. However, there is a recovery manager that will allow you to make these discs, and if you do this and store it in a safe place, you are still able to recover your system. Windows itself now has backup tools very good including the ability to make an image of complete computer system in its current state (not the factory condition) so there is no real reason that you cannot be completely protected against a hard disk crash.

  • 2000-216NR HP: how to get the drivers and download the drivers for my laptop HP 2000-261NR?

I need to download all the drivers for my laptop HP original so that they can be reinstalled on a new hard drive.

The old hard drive has failed.  A new hard drive and Windows 7 64-bit OS have already been installed.

The HP manages Web site locks upwards in an endless loop when he says that it is looking for drivers.  It was almost an hour and he's still in the search with no results.

Here is a link to the page in question:

In the latest that we had to do is enter our model number and all the drivers available for download would be displayed.

    Why not the same now?

so I have to download all the drivers? and windows? If I do not replace the hard drive

If you do not plan to buy a recovery media (which contains everything a package including all the programs that came provided when you purchased the laptop),

You can try an INSTALLATION CLEAN of Windows 8 x 64 OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)-

Download, save & burn/mount the following file OEM ISO of Win 8 x 64 on DVD / or copy ISO to a USB vacuum using the ISO tool like burning Imgburn (ISO OEM download link has a daily download limit, have to try several times, also I don't know if it's even downloadable).

    Windows 8 x 64 ISO

Tool ISO Mount/burn - Imgburn (choose the smaller 4 x or 8 x write speed to burn ISO on DVD)

Additional drivers can be downloaded from the pilot site, I have mentioned in my previous post, save on an another USB & installed from it after the installation of Windows.

NOTE: A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALLATION WILL BE DEVOID OF ALL HP & THIRD PARTY PROGRAMS/SOFTWARE THAT WAS DELIVERED WITH YOUR LAPTOP WHEN YOU BOUGHT, BUT ALL THE NECESSARY OS PROGRAMS DRIVERS WILL BE INSTALLED FOR THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM. ADDITIONAL FOR YOUR MODEL DRIVERS MUST BE INSTALLED ON THE SITE OF THE PRODUCT.

Windows 8 would be automatically activated during installation usually - as the product activation key is integrated into the chip for the BIOS of your motherboard for laptop.

  • Laptop HP 2000-365DX / rebuilt with Windows 8 / not able to connect to internet

My son has filled our mobile home of all known viruses of human, and so I had to give up everything and reload the operating system.  I reformatted the laptop with my copy of Windows 8 (64-bit) on the computer and now I am unable to connect to wireless internet.

When I go to the list of "other devices" in Device Manager, see the following (with the yellow exclamation points):

    • BCM20702A0
    • Ethernet controller
    • Network controller
    • PCI device

So I guess that the drivers for network cards, etc. are not loaded (for some reason any), but when I try to install the drivers from the HP site, nothing happens.  I can't access the Internet for Windows to automatically update everything.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hi qkershner, welcome to the Forums of HP. When you reinstalled Windows, you use HP Recovery or have you installed on a different disk from Windows? If you did a cover of HP it would have installed all the drivers automatically. You would also have the opportunity to restore the drivers using this method: use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8)

If not, the drivers for laptops, would be located here: Drivers of laptop HP 2000-365DX
You will need to download the drivers from another source and bring it to the computer (ie. the thumb drive) to install. When you get your network drivers work, you can try the HP Support Assistant, which hopefully will automatically find the rest of your drivers: HP Support Assistant

If you install the drivers, and you have problems with them grateful, you can delete items in Device Manager by clicking on them and remove them. Then on reboot I hope to be recognized.

You have a few options in my opinion please try these steps can help you solve your problem.

    (1) disconnect the battery & adapter then press on & press and hold the power button for laptop for 30 seconds then switch on and check if the wireless led lights.

    (2) go to Device Manager then uninstall the drivers wireless network card and restart the device and check if the light is on.

    (3) try to do a system restore to the date where unit was working fine.

    (4) Please update the Bios & Wireless driver from the HP website.

    (5) click on start search type Recovery Manager, and then click on it once select Yes on user access control, and then select I need immediate help and then select driver and select request recovery driver wireless and install it and then restart the device.
