Headset audio problem Latitude E5530

Hello
I have a Latitude E5530, with Windows 7 64 bit.
This laptop has been formatted in a couple of days and underwent a re-installation from scratch.
I installed all the drivers that you can find on the Web site. The audio works well with the speakers, but you hear no sound if you plugin the helmet. I don't know if it worked before the format; I know that running a different operating system (Xubuntu 13.04 64.bit) everything works like a charm, no audio problem.

Clues about what is happening here?

Thank you!

Is there an option on E5530 to change the audio output of the speakers/headphones to line-in?

There is no line-in socket on the E5530. It has a simple audio plug, known as a helmet or jack combo. It combines the output of headphone and mono microphone input into a socket. It cannot be used for stereo plug-in software component line

Even if you could change the audio output to the mic input jack (which is not possible that re-wiring of the plug), they are both the same plug. The only change that would achieve, is that the output would be mono instead of stereo.

I understand that the Latitude E5520 does not appear on the Dell "Computers tested for upgrade to Windows 10" list... However I was hoping maybe Dell could find in the goodness of their hearts to a updated driver IDT 92HDxxx... pretty please?

Hi, John. It's quite nervous of a member of the MS forum say that Dell is responsible to operate Windows. It wasn't Dell but MS who claims that Win10 has most of the necessary drivers and if not then the drivers Win7 and Win8.1 would work.

I doubt that it is possible for two reasons. Dell went from IDT Realtek as the audio seller so probably not more a a contract with IDT, if IDT even exist anymore. A year ago IDT was acquired by another company. I do not know its current status, but it is sure that the acquiring company will not be upgrading old software IDT. Reference Dell itself does not write the audio drivers. Even when IDT was the seller I believe that Win7 drivers are the final versions - no version 8 or 8.1 I think.

The native Windows audio driver can't stand struggling external mic. It is a MS 'known problem '. MS must implement a decision-making support, but there is no indication that it will be. Meanwhile, you have two workaround solutions. You can switch backwards between the natives and the IDT drivers. At some point Win10 could leave the IDT driver works correctly. Or get an outlet cheap usb audio to the microphone. Struggling running out-audio driver usb Windows native usb and so dependent no driver IDT.

  • 8 slate Pro audio problem: headphone output

    Hello

I bought my slate 8 Pro (model 7600US) to replace my Blackberry playbook. It is the great Tablet (screen perfect last Tegra 4 CPU, battery in good condition, good speakers integrated), but after the use of the Tablet for several days, I am surprised by problems with audio quality of the headphone output. I use mainly compressed with headphones (audio books, Netflix, music, etc.), so when I connected my Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro (headphones ultra-sensitive 119db/mW, 12 Ohm), I got very sensitive background noise, artifacts and, what is very annoying - variable pitch tones when changing tone based on the activity of the Wi - fi and load CPU, especially on low volume levels.

So I tried using headphones from Shure (109db, 29 ohms), less sensitive 4ca as KOSS KTXPRO (106db, 60 ohms) with the same results. HP Slate 8 Pro is not powerful enough to Sennheizer 555 (105db, 120 ohms) but I also had the artifacts and noise of not. Finally I tried junk headset $2 and found the sound sounds and tones perfectly acceptable ground level, but the sound quality with these phones is terrible.

To compare, I tried all my headphones with Nexus 7, Samsung Note 3, IPhone 5 and Playbook without problem.

I have returned the shelf at the store and replaced it for the new, but I had similar problem.

Please let know us, what I have to try the third time and replace the Tablet, or it's problem of hardware design, which cannot be resolved. Is it possible, that developers of HP can fix it in software configuration in a future update?

I understand, this tablet is not an audiophile device, but when the HP Web site indicates to this tablet: "Tuned by Dr. Dre himself, Beats Audio™ allows you to hear the music the way the artist intended.", it must at least provide acceptable audio quality for most listeners. I love HP Tablet a little, but if audio problem cannot be solved, I have to look for another option like Samsung or LG.

Updated my slate 8 Pro to KitKat 4.4.2 and looks, that his problem slipped.  With this update, noise and less noticeable artifacts, sound quality is acceptable now, even for sensitive headphones.

I have a headset Audio USB of Dynex Mono, and whenever I try to use the microphone, the sound comes out distorted. Also, when I try to use the earphone to listen to whatever it is that the audio is also flawed.

Did anyone here know what I can do, so I can get the controller and the helmet the two working together in a computer? The headset works fine in another computer.

The Xbox controller draw right on the edge for a USB port, putting pressure on all of the USB bus, especially if there are other USB devices. If you get an external USB powered hub to add to your system and plug the controller, you will solve your problem.

I had the same problem with my Creative Labs USB sound card and the Xbox controller at the same time. I picked up a Zonet similar to this (different brand):

I plug my controller, keyboard, and mouse dongle in the hub and plug my sound card directly into one of the ports on the back of the PC. Problem solved! I got no sound since problem.

  • Audio problem (NEED HELP)

    Hello

I met a very weird audio problem yesterday, I'll try to explain as best as possible what the problem is.

For some reason, I can hear audio in games and videos I have in my computer very well. But the problem is that I don't hear nothing else coming from my pc, I do not mean the being emptied recycling bin, I don't hear any sound of internet explore or firefox, even when it starts I can't hear anything in my headset.

But when I test with my audio software (Realtek HD audio manager) or when I use of playback devices I can hear JUST fine.

I think that this problem started with livestream, I used it yesterday and it has caused a few errors that required me to restart my computer.

So please if anyone of you has a solution for me I would like to hear it, I quite to reinstall my audio drivers fiddling around with Device Manager.

Thank you for your time, I hope to hear from you soon.

If you need further details please do not hesitate to ask.

What happens when you test these sounds in the control panel - sounds - sounds tab?

When you re-install your Sound Drivers have you checked to make sure that you have installed has shown
upward into the device as Manager they often rollback so you need to install - reboot - check - repeat until the

Click right speaker in the near right lower clock - reading devices - right click in white/white
area - check Show hidden devices and display devices disabled. To the lower right of all stakeholders

  • HP Envy 23 - K030: Audio problems with HP envy 23-K030 and Windows 8.1

I read all the discussions on audio problems with the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and Windows 8.1
I get audio on my speakers ONLY and not the headset.
I uninstalled rebooted and reinstalled the correct driver by this web site of HP support for my machine.
    no luck - same behavior.

The only thing that worked was the IDT driver installation and Windows device driver high definition.
The headphone jack are properly behaved and everything is ok worked.  However, I lose the audio Panel BEATS and the functions of the Board of Directors of IDT.   (superior quality sound-even with the built-in speakers).

An interesting thing I noticed, when the Microsoft driver is used (and work) on the control panel for this device, it presents "the left panel making" when the configuration screen for the 'speakers '.  for the official driver of IDT, it shows 4 outlets - none of them say "left sidebar", there's rear panel and a plug of façade.    On the old driver that didn't work, he showed "right pane" and there is no control on the right panel.

I think the pilot is simply wrong of this material. The driver is to look 10/2013-it is as if it were updated for this model ALL in ONE - only when it comes to use the headphone jack.

Is there a better driver (I can't "find one beyond 6.10.6486.0 or 6.10.6491 - both had the same problem.)

I do not use my time to often-rarely-last helmet I used them they have worked. Now, they are not - a few automatic updates upset the balance of the force.

Any help would be appreciated. IF not - it is a problem that a person should study.

Also it is reproducible. I have install generic Microsoft driver-headphone jack works and the sound Jack not pregnant, I re - install IDT player - his fate only speakers and not jack.

    I thought about it.

BIOS V 80.09 (on this wonderful site to Support HP) - does all the work

V80.05 - did not work properly with this Version of Bios.

Thank you HP very useful site if you take the time to browse through all the updates.

  • Audio problem in the laptop speakers. (Redirected)

I have Dell Vostro 3546 Since a few days the laptop speakers do not work properly. They produced a sound of frying, but now the sound sucks. But when I attach headphones to the laptop but do not select the headset as device by default, the speakers work perfectly with any aberrations. The speakers work fine then. Please give solution to this.

  • URGENT *: Latitude E5530 Wireless randomly stopped working

    Hello.

I am owner of a Latitude E5530 and I use it for academic purposes, so it is very urgent I have repaired as soon as POSSIBLE.

My WiFi worked for awhile now, and all of a sudden my Wifi works most completely. I try troubleshooting, but he wants me to be ordered for the wired connection. I open the DW LAN utility, and it says that I need a wireless network card to use the utility. I open the Device Manager, and the only thing listed is the Ethernet adapter under network adapters and nothing to do with an exclamation point.

I noticed that after I installed the driver from the Dell Web site updated, my wifi stopped working and it's just like he disappeared on me, but if Laurence who had influence at all.

Please, I really need help solve this, as I go back to school on Monday and this morning there.

I solve this after some research on the Wifi automatically turn off. Here's what I found, for those of you who need it!

"Take a look in your device manager. My wireless LAN card has a leOptionsonglet energy, where "the computer can cut off the device to save power" is enabled. Maybe this can help. »

The credit goes to Wusel of congeners, on the Forums of Notebook comments, here.

The quote above, Fusel Wusel, basically says this:

Open Device Manager, and then click the arrow to expand "network adapters." Under network adapters, find your WLAN (Wireless) card, right-click and click Properties. Click the "Power management" tab and uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

It fixed my problem for sure!

I recently took possession of old Windows 7 Dell Inspiron N5040 my brother who runs the audio driver IDT HD Audio, the problem is that even when headphones are plugged in, the computer still plays sound on the speakers, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver, update the driver software and I still cannot fix. I thought that maybe the problem could be fixed with sound in the Control Panel, however, I can't find the device labeled "Headphones", only two devices listed are "Speakers/headphones" and "helmet of Communications." How can I do so that the system only plays sound through speakers when the headphone is not plugged and only plays the sound through the headphones when they are?

  • Ever since I started to update to 34.0.5 I have known many audio problems.

Since Firefox updated to 34.0.5, I have known many video and audio problems. At first, I couldn't play the videos at all, but install Shockwave Flash, which sets. All my videos play in silence. I've updated my plugins (Quicktime and VLC were the only ones to ask for an update) should not have solved the problem because I do not believe that I was actually using these plugins at the time, but nevertheless, it seems to have worked. Now I can play videos with sound, but the quality of this noise is severely reduced and even sometimes staticky. What gives?

These are the same products - 'adobe flash player' is the consumer in the face of term "shockwave flash" the technical name...

  • Pavilion 500 215 el: audio problem Windows 10 anniversary update

I have an audio problem, then before moving to Windows 10 or the update of the anniversary of the audio working properly after the update I noticed immediately that the sound is distorted or "crunches".
I haven't identified the problem because it's random, very often and it's very annoying, my sound system is its IDT DTS + I tried to reinstall the drivers with the latest version but some of the problem persists...
Only, I noticed that the problem is more 'feel' when the bass setting is higher or when I change the audio setting to my taste.
I ask you to help also became very boring because without my custom settings is really horrible!
    Thank you.
Sorry for the English, but this isn't my mother tongue, I used google translator.

    Hi there @Alexcpp,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  I understand that, after the update of Windows 10 anniversary, you had some sound problems.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Check the support page for your model of HP Pavilion 500-215el desktop PC, there don't seem to be updated drivers, and you have already tried to reinstall existing ones.

You can always try to use the HP Support Assistant, HP PCs - using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10, 8, 7) to see if there is a driver available that is not displayed on the support page. It is unlikely, but there is always a chance that the page has not yet updated.

Another possibility is to make some adjustments on your system, just in case there is another driver or software that interferes with the audio, which could cause problems of lag. You can try the search, even if these: computers HP - computer is slow (10 Windows), HP - slow Internet troubleshooting (10, 8 Windows) computers.  They are never a waste of time because often there is something that could help the overall performance of the system.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Audio problems

Hi, I have audio problems! I downloaded Skype on my windows laptop 10, and I have audio problems with only my Skype. I checked the audio setting on my laptop and they are very well, I tried to save regularly, and it was perfectly good. I checked the audio on my Skype, they seem to be well, but does not record the microphone. When I talk about the green line of volume is not hear me, and move. However I tried to snap my fingers just above the mic, and if I did it really hard two or three times the volume of the green line would move just really slowly, however when I spoke into the microphone it is not. I deleted and downloaded again, but has not fixed the problem and I don't know what to do. None of the parameters have changed, but when I checked my setting of the laptop, Skype was not one of the apps listed as the microphone (and I don't know how to change.) In fact, when I checked all my settings of the computer, Skype did not appear for the use of microphone, speakers or camera (but I get only problems with the audio.) Please get back to me as soon as possible to help with suggestions! I use Skype to talk to family and work, but also to stay in touch with teachers and take classes.
