Helix is no longer available with Mobile Broadband?

The propeller is no longer offered with mobile broadband? The site their kidnapped a couple of days and we were about to buy a handful of them to our office.

Sometimes, it's better you call Lenovo sale and conduct the special survey. But propeller will probably be eliminated quickly, since it uses Ivy Bridge ULV CPU.

  • Equipped with mobile broadband with Lenovo B560 / SIM card / no reaction if pushed SIM card

    Dear Forum

I have byued "nine" one lenovo B560 - quiet price specifications.

But now I'm trying to connect to internet with my SIM mobile broadband WebClient and do not find a way to do it!

The laptop is equipped with a SIM-Card-Slot-In card and throug this Slot I can see some golden conectors.

But if I turn on wireless with [Fn] + [F5] I can't see the WLAN on/off switch card.

Even the installation of 5 ReadyComm has not resolved my probs.

My mobile is Win7 home premium with the typical standard configuration, no change.

Is there something that I did not?

I appreciate any help, thanks in advance!

    Greetings - sand

    Hello mate,

It's not because you have a card reader sim you have a modem installed inside.

If your laptop is wwan ready, it comes with the sim card reader and installed antenna, and that's all.

If you don't see the wwan modem in the Fn + F5 menu it is probably because you do not have a modem.

Take a look here to see if you have a wwan modem or not: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/configuration/configuration.html

  • problems with mobile broadband

I have X 200 with Vista. I try inserting the sim card. (I tried all positions, whereas there is no instructions on how to insert the sim card). I get the message, sim card not found, insert the sim card.

Any solution to the problem? Updates? are there any special SIMcard provider spesific? I have the Telenor sim.

Is there a manual that shows how insert the sim card and the problems with mobile broad band?

    Thank you

    Kam

OK great! You have a WWAN of Ericson f3507g card.

The hardware Maintenance Manual says the SIM card under the battery, but not really the direction. Here is what an enthusiast of unboxing conversion showing the SIM card. Here is one another. So I think it's common sense.

If I understand correctly the f3507g is unlocked for Telenor should not be the problem.

Now, there are TAPI members who know much about WWAN. They could chime.

There are also several 'SIM card not found"threads in the forums that you should check.

  • error messages from 631/651 with mobile broadband Sierra

Constantly disconnecting Sierra without my help and give me 631 and 651 error messages. Did not initially so I wonder if the automatic updates caused it. Sprint said there is a Microsoft problem but I installed all the updates and nothing's worked.

    Hello

    1. What is the full error message that appears on the computer?
    2. What is the model number of the device?

    Method 1:
The steps in the link and check it out, try:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/wired-and-wireless-network-connection-problems-in-Windows

    Method 2:
You can also try to update the network adapter drivers and check:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly
You can download the driver\software from the manufacturer's Web site. See the link for help:
    http://www.sierrawireless.com/en/support/downloads.aspx

    Method 3:
I also suggest you to turn off the antivirus and check if it helps
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Welcome to the community.

I understand "mobile broadband ready" as defined by lenovo, you have installed the sim card slot and antennas required wwan, but... you do not have a wwan card. get a support card and you should be good to go.

  • Portege R830 - forcing mobile broadband using 3 G/HSDPA with Win 8

    Hi all

Updated my Portege R830 to Windows 8 without problem.

Given that most of the Wireless Manager functionality has been moved in the Windows, I can not find where I can "force" the connection to 3 G/HSDPA.

I live in an area where the signal is insufficient and if I let the network default settings, it frequently goes to the strongest EDGE connection. I connected with Wireless Manager, using only 3 G/HSDPA where 2 bars were sufficient for everyday tasks.

Moments of light bulb? (Travel is unfortunately not an option... ;))

Hmm, I think that this parameter isn't available in 8 Win.

Microsoft provides a nice article on configuring broadband to help to win 8 and mentioned configuration isn't it:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/mobile-broadband-from-start-to-finish

From my understanding the best signal to broadband will be selected and used if it is available.,.

  • R7000 as router with the router for mobile broadband Internet

Hey guys. First of all, my apologies for my somewhat inadequate English skills. Secondly, I am brand new to the community, so apologies in advance for any fault :-) Third stop, apologize for having a complete beginner :-D

So, for the issue: I recently bought a router top mobile broadband 4G (4 G MBR) to my apartment, because of the gap of strength and speed signal very low quality of the cable to the ground on my Street (fiber is to come next year).

But the router provided by my operator isn't on par with my router R7000 Nighthawk when he comes to reach wifi, wifi speed, number of outputs of LAN and power of the processor.

So, I want to use my R7000 my router, the internet signal from the air to the 4G MBR, then by cable to the WAN of the R7000.
In other words; I want to just 4G MBR to simply pass / transfer the internet signal to my nighthawk R7000 router so I can use the R7000 as my router, LAN and wifi.

How can I set this up?

    Thanks for your help!

Update: the MBR has been no help at all. As far as I could tell, there is no possibility to bridge or pass-through mode. The R7000, as she does the work. I just put it in AP mode, adjust all the wired connections DHCP/auto IP assign and everything works great.

  • Details on the modem Helix WWAN mobile broadband?

I buy a propeller for more use in Africa. I'm curious if the included modem works on the bands out there. There is not much details given on the order page. The country that I will use the GSM 900 frequency band. I'm guessing that their 3G networks could be on a different band?

In any case, any ideas if the mobile broadband modem will work abroad?

    Thank you!

    Seth

My modem is not locked to any medium.

Just be very careful, if you buy a non 3G model, it will probably have the WWAN antenna and no slot for sim card. And then you can buy a Lenovo modem, otherwise it will not work if it is not on the whitelist.

I could call a sales representative in the United States and see if you can buy a version with unlocked modem.
