Hello! I need to replace the hard drive of my laptop Sony VPCEB33FM, serial No. 27532133-3071590.

Hello! I need to replace the hard drive on my beloved laptop VPCEB33FM serial No. 27532133-3071590. that was purchased in the United States over two or three years.    I live in Switzerland and I think I might have to import a hard drive from the United States, how do I go about it and it would be easy enough to install it myself.  Is there a video I could watch that could help with the installation.  Thanks for any helpful answers.

Hi... you can replace the HARD drive with disk drive hard Seagate ST9320310AS or Hitachi HTS545032B9S...

You will find the site of esupport , HARD drive installation instructions... BTW, you need to use a recovery for the new HARD drive disk

Hope that helps...

  • Need to replace the hard drive on laptop G56

    Hi all

I have a hp g56-108sa laptop. I had the hard drive replaced once under warranty and there yet again, but I don't want to not wait 10 days so he could be replaced again if I want to get a new drive hard but with a greater capacity (mine is 250 GB and I'm looking for ay buying a 320 GB one) , and I want to replace. Is this feasible?

I ordered a few partners hp recovery disks that I stupidly didn't create a when I had the chance. The reason I ask this question, it is that I've read that other people have had problems by replacing the original drive with the largest on laptops

    Thank you in anticipation

    Pat

    Hello

You should have no problem with a 320 GB HARD drive, the drive on the link below is an example of one that would be perfect for your laptop.

    Hard drive 320 GB

The procedure to replace the hard drive is detailed on Page 37 of your & Maintenance Guide.

Once this is done, just use the recovery disks you ordered to reinstall the operating system on the new drive - they will also recreate the Partition D of recovery on the new HARD drive.

  • I need to replace my hard drive on my laptop. How can I install my apps on the new drive without having to pay another subscription

As the title of the discussion. I will replace my hard drive on my laptop to improve performance, which means reinstall my Photoshop/Lightroom and Bridge apps. How can I go about it without having to pay another fee to subscriptio?

Simply install them again.  You are allowed two active installations at the same time.  If you have already used, the installation process will tell you that and whether to disable one of the facilities as soon as possible.  Say Yes.  If you have not installed on a desktop as well, then open Photoshop on this system.  If it has been disabled, tell it to disable a previous installation, as you did with the laptop, and you should be OK from there.

  • HP Pavilion g7-1167, which is needed to replace the hard drive

In fact, I have a few questions.

First of all, I was streaming How I Met Your Mother online when a box appeared and gave a kind of message (I don't remember now). He was just sitting there, so I restarted the computer. After the reboot, the computer would not go beyond the screen "start wondows. I ran a dignostic and it says that the short test failed. I then ran a diagnostic in the bios and it ran the short test, he failed, then he ran about 5% of the test long then stopped and said "hard drive full 1."

After looking online, I think it's a sign that it crashes. I already ordered the new hard drive and the kit at HP.

But now I need to know how to get all my info out of it. My brother has an external hard drive that I can use, but I don't know if it will work.

In addition, once I have installed the new hard drive I think I need to re - install windows and something else? Do I have to re - install and how do I do that if I don't have the disks? Can I do a recovery on that disk now, or is it too late? If so, how do I?

I'm sorry, I don't know anything about computers, so any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

First of all, about your existing data, here are some options that you can try.

    1. one possible way to try to recover your files from a disk non-boot is to follow the process described in the link below.  The CD of the Ubuntu operating system you create can launched from the CD alone (IE it doesn't have to be installed on the hard drive) and I've often found to successfully extract data even a hard failure.  When you created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can save your existing files.

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/use-Ubuntu-Live-CD-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-Windo...

2 another option would be to remove the drive HARD, place it in an external enclosure - is an example of the link below - connect to another PC and see if you can access your files.

External 2.5 HARD drive caddy ".

    **********************************************************************

Regarding the reinstallation of the operating system on the new drive, I don't think that you will be able to create a viable together your disc recovery disc HARD existing, but you can order a set of replacement of the HP recovery discs using the link below.

    Order HP recovery disks.

If you have a problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

  • Need to replace the hard drive on HP DM4 2165-DX, need info on compatible disks.

    Hello.

The hard drive in my HP DM4 2165-DX failed.

Can someone tell me what [SSD and non - SSD] HARD disk are compatible can I buy and trade?

    Thank you.

You will need the service manual you can download here:

    Manual

Page 43 shows how to swap out hard drive.

There are 9.5 mm thick and 2.5 inch wide SATA drives, mechanical or SSD. Eventually, it was mounted with a 160 GB SSD, but you can install more if you wish. I recommend at least a mechanical 7200 rpm or a hybrid disc if you do not want an SSD, but if you can afford to spend the money a SSD is the only way to go.

It is the SSD, I have my own laptop (I have a 512 GB of the same drive model):

  • If I replace the HARD drive of my laptop with Win7 OEM how to recharge Win7 with no CD?

    Hello

I checked my laptop and the operating system, Windows 7, has "OEM" as part of the product Ref ID. That is as I expected.

This cell phone which is a Samsung R540 is practically zero it is guaranteed for 12 months and has already had two replacement hard drives installed under warranty by authorised repairers.  I'm waiting for his failure some time and it will then no longer be under warranty.

The hard drive is easily replaced by me, but then I won't have an operating system in which case I have to

) a purchase new op system,.
    (b) portable send the repairman newe HDD and opus system installed at extra cost to me or
    (c) complain of Samsung.

I don't mind buying a new HARD drive, but I object to having to then buy a new op system.

    It's a scam!

    Did someone solved this problem?

You will have a recovery disc, the value of their share to contact Samsung or:

  • I need to replace the hard drive of my Acer Aspire all-in-one 5600U?

I have an Acer Aspire all-in-one 5600U. The other day the power in our House went out due to a storm. After she came back and went to use my computer, the screen was black and said "Reboot and select proper... boot device." ». I tried to download the tool of creation of media to a USB port and start the system using this. I can get into the menu troubleshooting but nothing works. When I try to make a custom Windows installation, it says "no signed device drivers were found". What is a hard drive problem? In the BIOS, under Boot Options is does not list a specific hard drive. It just says: 'hard drive '. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know. Appreciate the help, IronFly.

  • Need to replace the hard drive, Vista can be reinstalled with a different copy, then what came with the PC?

A friends Vista Home Premium PC is in a horrible State - chkdsk repairs tons of "bad sectors".

If I get a new hard drive, can I use my CD of 'Upgrade' from Vista Home Premium to re - install the Vista, using its product key?

If this isn't the case - what other options can I?

    * original title - I need to reinstall vista - can I use my 'upgrade' with other people product code drive *.

No, you can't. Its product key is OEM and linked to the Windows that is installed on the computer. Your option is to buy a new Windows software.

  • Need to replace the hard drive. Use Toshiba MK3265GSX or MK3265GSX SATA 300?

HP laptop G72.  Windows 7 64 - bit, "Smart drive Imminent failure".  No changes to the system; updates only at HP.

Should I replace with Toshiba MK3265GSX 320 GB 2.5 "HDD internal or should I replace with a Toshiba MK3265GSX SATA 300 5400 RPM 8 MB 2.5" hard drive. Which is better and more reliable?

    Thank you, Michael Donovan

They are not the same thing? In fact I would not either. I would get a disk 7200 RPM with a cache of 16 meg as the WD Scorpio Black or the Seagate Momentus 7200 Series

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822136781

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822148446

For a few dollars more, you get much better faster start of performance, etc. Don't let someone convince you that heat is a problem on the disks of 7200 RPM... models current barely use any what juice more than 5400 rpm and produce almost no additional heat. If money was no object I can not also say too many good things about what will make an SSD for you.
