Help! = (Battery plugged not supported.

I have a windows vista home basic laptop, its almost 2 years now and the problem that says battery plugged not supported lasted for about 3 days. I tried the restore point but it did not help, run scans, updates and even tried to make a backup, but it were not all there. He fled the cord but does not load, and is now in the rite of 1%. I've never had a problem of p with the battery before so I don't think that its because of this. Is there something im not doing rite or need to do to fix this? Please I need help to solve this problem.

Looks like your battery is dead (or dying or defective) - this is what happened to mine when he died and I had to buy a replacement (about $150, but yours may be different).  Although systems may come with guarantees of 4-5 years, this excludes the battery, which usually comes with a 1 year warranty (if there is long).  Batteries die.  You need to replace it with one that fits and is correctly powered and connected (which means probably get the replacement from the manufacturer of the computer).

I hope this helps.

Good luck! Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.

OK, so I have a pavilion laptop dv6838nr.  Ive had now for about 2 years or more and no problems so far.  I can reboot my computer for about 5-10 minutes, then to which the battery indicator is on your desktop he says "plugged not supported" and it won't load again until I turn off my laptop and back, but it will still only last about 5 minutes.  So I thought it was my battery, but I wanted to make sure that if I took out the battery and plugged my power adapter and it worked fine for about 5 minutes then it turns off.  So I don't think that its my battery, there must be something with vista maybe idk.  Any ideas? It certainly looks like the battery needs to be replaced. However, let's first establish that it is the battery and not the connector of battery on the motherboard that is defective controller.

    Please follow these steps.

Please try a hard reset first. Steps to follow:

    • Turn off the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery only if it is removable.
    • Press and hold the power button on the unit for 15 seconds to carry out the static electrical charges inside the machine.
    • Replace the battery and reconnect the charger
    • Please try to calibrate the battery.
    • Please update the bios from this link http://hp.com/drivers
    • Run the battery from this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03467259

Please run all the tests of components and if the battery is not please take note of the failure code.

  • HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC: Plugged not supported message when plugged AC

When my HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC is connected, it is is no longer in charge, and the battery icon says "plugged in, not load."  I ran a best of battery using HP Support, and the message says "battery reports a failure and should be replaced as soon as possible... ».  My laptop is less than 3 months.

This means that the subsystem of loading of the motherboard is ok.

Had considered running a recovery to see if it would solve the issue?

I would try that before you send it.

Beforeyou send in warranty repair, you must really have everything you don't want stored on an external drive anyway.

  • 0% connected battery, does not support

    I have a Hp G6-2197sa,

The battery is at 22% and suddenly, it goes down to 0% and hip said, does not support. Although I have not plugged in the charger cable.

The laptop still works at 0% for 5 Minutes, but then turns off suddenly.

When I load it's fresh at 0% then jumped sharply to 22%, but sometimes it does not jump, it goes to 1%

You should probably just calibrate the battery, see test and calibrate the battery (Windows 7).  Batteries degrade over time, and eventually the battery meter in Windows will not be synchronized with where the battery is upwards to (for example it will show he is more power left in the battery, it really is).  Calibrate the battery should put the battery meter back in sync with the battery at this time.

    HP dear supporters,

I have a HP ENVY x 360 laptop with Win 8.1 operating system. He writes that plugged in, not charging. This laptop has a non-removable battery. I read the forums and advice but neither solved my problem.

I tried to close, plug off, wait, plug in, turn on, without result.

I also tried to uninstal in Device Manager the baterries, then restart the laptop, without result.

I also tried the fix for the problem with HP Support Assistant, digitization of the battery and he writes that my battery is ok, but then "unknown".

I tried to download updates, no results due to "unknown".

  • 35%, plugged in, battery does not support

I have the option set to 80% battery saver. However, today, I notice that my VAIO Duo 13 is sitting at 35% battery life and does not load. He sat like this for several hours and remains in this State even after a reboot. How can I get my battery charge again?

I at least temporarily solved the problem. I tried to play around with the method Microsoft ACPI compatible battery control list as described here , but that has not helped. Instead I put the AC off the device unplugged and pressed the button battery Off for 3 to 5 seconds (The Battery Off button is the small hole you see on top of the tablet of basis, under/behind the screen, above the port of AC. Stitch it with a paperclip to press it.) Then I leave the PC sit for awhile during dinner. Also, I unplugged the AC from the wall at the moment. Finally, I have it plugged in the AC. At the same time, I could see the charge LED lights up so it was already good. I turned on the PC normally and the battery indicator properly displayed that he was in charge and the percentage is rising. Sony credit, I received this response a few hours after I thought that myself:

  • Laptop says 0% available PLUGGED, NOT supported

I have a dell inspiron 1525, it's like two years old, I think. He has this problem that seem to have a lot of other people. I looked everywhere. The problem does not appear to ask the brand because it happened to Toshibas, valleys and other types of laptops. More often (almost exclusively) in Windows Vista. I recently bought a new charger and adapter, and the problem started almost a month later. I highly doubt that it is the new charger because it happened to a lot of NEW laptops, with very few months to have been bought. I tried to uninstall the Microsoft ACPI method compatible battery control. But nothing. I still have to try something else, but I'm afraid to mess with my laptop because I have no money right now to buy a new one and I need it for school. I tried to seek solutions and to see how they worked for other people but not one solution works for anyone. I don't want to spend money on buying a new charger and battery or a new laptop if there is chance, it happens again. Please, if there is a really good solution that actually worked, tell me. Seriously, I think the problem is on Windows Vista.

    Hi James,

Well, I don't know what steps you have taken to try to resolve the problem.

Take a look at the discussion which talks about the same issue. This can help you.

  • plugged not supported

My power on my laptop shows that she is 10% and needs to be recharged, even if the battery is fully charged.

  • Battery plugged in, supported, but still 0%

I have Acer Iconia W700. He began to show the connected message, loads, but does not go beyond 6 percent. I tried to reinstall the ACPI drivers, etc., and it did not work. Bought a new battery and changed for her. Then, he showed the same message with 10%. I changed the power settings do not sleep at 5% and so acquitted to 0%.

Now the battery is at 0%, connected, charge. As soon as I disconect the Tablet from power cord goes to sleep.

I know - what the battery is ok, because I kept the power cord plugged in overnight, battery still showed 0%, I uninstalled the drivers for the ACPI and then disconnected the power cord and Tablet continued to work. I turned on a few long youtube video, and he played more than an hour for sure.

So battery is charge and work, but problem is elsewhere.

So far, I tried to start with the battery disconnected, uninstall ACPI drivers several times and even properly reinstalled Windows 8.1. nothing seems to work. Any ideas?.

Tried another charger, this time saw the charge rate. It is 700 000 mW (as opposed to 400 mW with old). Looks like it's the problem - old charger did not provide enough current (power) for the Tablet and the battery.

Everyone coming to this thread looking for a solution - check not only your power charger, but also good battery charge rate.
