  Hello

  I have an Officejet 6500 AIO which allows to print any color over black. We have already replaced the black toner cartridge, ran an alignment (which failed), and 1st and 2nd printhead level cleaning, with no improvement made. I searched online HP even sells no more replacement for this model print heads, and those that I could find other suppliers cost half the price of a new printer.

  Anything else I can try before calling, she leaves and replace the whole unit?

  If the suggestion of Print_Hint does not resolve the problem, you can try to soak the print head in warm water for a few minutes as described in this post.

  My HP officejet 6500 will not print in colour without black.  I tried to run diagnostics, turning on/off, changing the cartridge, mop up the cart - ink, withdrawal and the cartridges, printing a test page.  All to nothing does not.

  I continued to deepen the forum and found what was a soluntion for me.  I went to the configuration selected, then went to tools, it chose and then select printhead cleaning.  The first time that he clean the printhead, I only got six rectangles colored at the bottom of the test page printed.  My screen then asked if I wanted to get another clean process and I said YES.  Low and behold, the test print page not only the FCMA out with 6 colored rectangles but also tons of alphabets in black.  Hooray! His works again.  Hope this works for you.

  Please use the following document to solve the problem. Printer cannot print black ink or color ink, or prints blank Pages.

  It is occasional problem, now more common, previously solved using print head cleaning utility.  This time not worked.  also tried to print the alignment page, power off, and then by restarting, changed the black cartridge, without result - fine print color, just not black cartridges - at the first slight traces of footprints, now nothing.

  There is a print quality problem if the unit not printing black ink. There is a document for the E709n for printing questions found here.

  I don't know what is happening with my HP 6520. I posted some time ago, thinking that it was just black as ink cartridge when I try to print a Word document, Internet Pages (any browser or operating system (I also have a Dell laptop, in addition to an iPad).) I tried to clean the printheads several times and when I print the confirmation page, the part of the black box does NOT print. However, I printed the photos in color on this perfect look me. I even printed a photo of my black dog, my gray koi, a black and white koi, green plants, and all this look perfect. Just the printer will not print any BLACK TEXT. Yes, it will display the text in blue (which does not work if I am trying to print a form on the Internet). I typed in black text in a document, printed out, and it is empty. I then change the color to blue, and it seems. Yes, tried on two computers and different programs/systems operation/browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari)

  I noticed that my black ink started streak so I replaced the black cartridge, cleaned the print heads and completed an alignment page.  All colors have shown up on the test, except black pages, and black characters who present themselves were incomplete and striated.  I tried to print in black and white, and the pages shoot out of the empty printer.  I've exhausted all failures on HP and had no luck.  Any ideas on what I can try?

  There are 5 different versions of the Officejet 6500. I went with a basic (E710a) model to provide a quality troubleshooting bad print document. This link will give you some troubleshooting steps to try to solve the problem that it lists some you mentioned it but there are only listed steps that were not included in the above post.

  If still the problem, I'd do a manual cleaning the contacts on the print head and on the cartridges to ensure this build up is not a problem. Pages 117-121 of the user manual to describe the process of print head cleaning. Page 234 in the manual gives instructions to clean the contacts on the cartridges too. I hope this helps

  Clean the printhead as per HP, website and the problem disappeared.

  I have a Deskjet 3520 printer.  I installed a new HP ink cartridges, color printing works fine, but the black does not print.  Even if I force black only in the preferences to print gray nothing comes out.  The print head moves back and looks like it's printing, but the page is empty.  I also ran the cycle of cleaning heads.

  Our small office now has an Officejet 4500 a few months without any problems. Today, it stopped printing any black ink.

  -J' changed the cartridge to be sure, but at no time has it says low ink. This fixed the problem for a few pages but the problem popped up. I align the cartridges after the installation of the new cartridge.

  -J' tried to clean the contacts on the cartridge itself.

  -The functions still scanning and color ink can be printed.

  -Overall impression seems slower, apart from the question of black ink. You know not so bound.

  -The all-in-one has been used more frequently in recent weeks.

  had the same problem, I have the hp printer 4625... I tried the self-cleaning ink printer cartridge under Tools-> cleaning ink cartridge and it worked for me...

  don't know if you tried yet, but if not - it give it a shot

  In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve the black print is not on your Officejet 4500 printer g501g.

  If you pay off the printhead on a wet cloth, you get a strong black spot?  If this isn't the case, I guess the cartrdige.
