Help in backup Windows live mail.

I already save my whole windows live mail. After a week I have decided to back up my windows live mail again. My question is can I save just the last email I received instead of the entire windows live mail yet?

Hi David,

You can take control of backup, individual letters this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sne017qhWeQ&feature=player_embedded

Thank you

  • Please tell me how to backup Windows Live Mail on a Windows XP-based computer

I don't want the program that does it for you, I mean go into the directory and the backup of the .eml.  What I call the way '' look under the hood. '' Thanks in advance.

If you just want to save the .eml files manually, you might as well just save the messages as .eml files.

Create a Windows folder on your desktop or elsewhere and then in WLMail, open the folder that contains the messages you want to save. Highlight a message, and then Ctrl + A will highlight all (or Ctrl-button down while you select only messages you want), now, drag and drop them into the folder on your desktop. (They there will be records WLMail.)

Now you can copy this folder to a CD or flash, and they can be moved if necessary WLMail.

  • Help, please! Windows Live mails in the sent folder, but not received by some clients

    Windows 7

    Windows Live Mail

    POP3

Out going Server Port is set to 25

    Microsoft Security Essentials

We had a problem where some - not all - of our messages are not received. When these messages are sent, they do not throw a notification saying that they cannot be delivered and they appear in the "sent" folder as usual.

We are a company that sends quotes to potential customers, so we really need it is resolved as soon as POSSIBLE. We will send about 10 quotes per week and at least once a fortnight we will have someone complain that they have not received their e-mail while the others will be fine.

The emails that we send have attachments so sometimes fall into undesirable people, but sometimes they are not either and we must resort to getting a second e-mail address to the sent message.

If anyone can help me with this very frustrating problem, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

Thanks for your replies, but I have now solved the problem by changing the port from 25 to 465 number.

I tried to configure Windows Live Mail, after that I discovered that Windows 7 does more support OUTLOOK EXPRESS. It took several days and consults with sevearl IT professional to get the emails you want to connect to the server (I'm still not 100% sure it is working properly). • BIG problems with Windows Live Mail

I am running Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 Professional to access my AOL email accounts, which are on a basis of IMAP.  I use a laptop brand new have a 1 TB HDD and 8 GB of RAM, so the size and speed are not a problem.  The first annoying problem I have is that whenever I close by Mail, I get a message saying that it is the purge of records.  Five seconds later, I get an error message from the server is offline, so the work has not ended.  Then, I need to close the windows.

Secondly, when I reply to messages, sometimes it takes 5 to 10 seconds or more for the wheel stops.  If there is an attachment to the original email, the message that I send doesn't go away, even after they are sent, which makes me wonder if it was sent.  There are also an excessively long time to delete messages.

I've used several other e-mail programs in recent years, including Outlook Express and have never encountered problems in using the same accounts AOL and format.  Are there changes I need to do, or are these problems known glitches between Windows Live Mail and an AOL IMAP account?

    1. the presentation of Softpedia pick the ' shortcut is at least 6 or 7 versions there is (and has been removed from the program there are at least 5 versions)-ignore
    2. the google image search is a mixture of old and some showing the latest version of civil (2009), which he has had 3 improvements. The most recent is WLM 14.8089.0726. To determine if you have the latest version on the top menu, click on help/topic/Microsoft Windows Live Mail
-If you do not see the menu, press the Alt key - it is used to toggle.  The menu can be disabled permanently by clicking the square to the left of the "question mark" at the top right. Scroll down and select the Menu display.
    3. do you intend to post in the Windows Live Mail Desktop using WLM newsgroup... If so, we can say your version by message properties. If you continue to post via the web interface, we cannot... so the earlier suggestions to use the discussion group showing the ability of WLM.  Knowing the version of WLM can make a difference in the problem and the answer.
    4. the configuration for the "purge" messages associated with an IMAP account can be found in WLM on its "Maintenance" tab
    Tools/Options/Advanced/maintenance
What are your settings for the two elements of "Purge" (Deleted messages) and Newsgroup?  Consider uncheck both
5 other things you should consider doing (temporarily) in WLM to rule out any automatic handshake between the AOL IMAP server and WLM
-Uncheck the send and receive Messages at startup; Uncheck the check Messages every x minutes (Tools/Options/general tab)
-Uncheck all options on the tab connection (Tools/Options/connections) and click on stop signing if the button/option is present.
-Uncheck "use deleted items folder for IMAP (Tools/Options/Advanced) accounts - this option has been know to interfere with the"Purge"for AOL accounts"
-Set the counter to 1 (Tools/Options/Advanced/Maintenance tab) - compact the database during shutdown.  Make sure that you are in e-mail mode, then take it out by file/Work Offline / file / exit.  WLM should encourage compact... agree and don't interrupt. Once that is done, open WLM, file/work online and repeat the test.
6 turn off email scanning in you client Antivirus and other applications (additional, firewall security software etc it email scanning is done)
    7. If you are connected via cable or a DSL connection set up Internet Explorer (or other browser never establish a connection.
-If you do not use IE, please specify which browser.

Report any success of failure after doing the above (you can try them both, or test each incrementally.

It would be much appreciated if you could communicate the results in a new message using WLM as your news reader in Windows Live Mail Desktop forum

  • backup for Windows Live Mail folder

I deleted an account that he was driving and I wanted to recreate from scratch so the register had created re.

I did it in Outlook Express with the deleted mail.

Unfortunately, in Windows Live Mail it deleted all the mail.

There is a folder named backup under

    C:\Documents and Settings\

What is in the present, and I can use it to restore the emails that I deleted when I deleted an account. I copied the folder somewhere safe. The time stamp on the files in the backup folder predate the removal

I did it in Outlook Express with the deleted mail.
Unfortunately, in Windows Live Mail it deleted all the mail.

That's why WLMail requires you to reject a warning message before deleting an account:

There is a folder named backup under
    C:\Documents and Settings\

What is in the present, and I can use it to restore the emails that I deleted when I deleted an account.

The backup folder contains a copy of the message database, which is only an indication of your messages. It does not contain the messages themselves.

You may be able to recover a portion of your messages (.eml files) by using a utility like Recuvaundelete. The sooner you act, the most successful, it is likely to be.

Windows Live Mail has its own support at the Windows Live Solution Centerforums. Please address any other question you may have on one of the forums on the right side of this page. You are probably asked to give your version of WLMail and Windows so that the answer may be more accurate.

Windows Live Mail does not open. Contacted the help people who told me to uninstall Windows Live and start over, but my computer won't uninstall it? Back to the use of Windows Mail, but now some of my emails are not received by some of their recipients even if they seem to send and there is no error message. • Windows Live Mail help - folders view

I lost about 400 emails. I know that they are still in my system of e-mail somewhere when I'm looking for the e-mail address of the recipients, all messages (sent and received) that show the results. However, there is nothing to tell me exactly which folder are in.

I've always used Outlook Express and in the main pane, you can select which columns to show and I've always had: to, of, Date, attachment, folder and that I could always tell folder in which was in the email.

In Windows Live Mail, it has no option to add the 'File' column, so, how do I know where all these emails? All mails (about 400 of them) were stored in a main folder called '2009', who was then 12 subfolders. I cannot find this folder or one of its subfolders anywhere now, but all emails are in the system somewhere because they all show in search results.

All help find a way to see the location real email would be appreciated.

    Thank you
