Help me. H700 RAID does not detect the HARD drive.
My Dell C2100 used CPU X 5650 and 700 Raid Perc.
After connection, system says:
"Enclosed envelope does not support in the direct mapping of the controller mode.
Please contact your system.
System was interrupted because of the supported configuration. »
I replaced the H700 raid, then wire and FW update. System not notification but after press Ctrl + R, perc raid h700 not detect any hard disk.
Please help me!
The issue is due to backplane having a bad rider on the expansion of the plant. To correct this remove J15 the C2100 3.5 "bottom of basket, or backplane C2100 2.5 J7". Refer to the below pictures to help locate the jumpers.
Let me know if this helps solve the problem.

Hi all. I tired to do a reinstall of Windows XP today. It seems to take a lot of time, and then I did a very stupid thing. I turned off the laptop that I had to go. Now when I try to start the laptop on the cd, I get as far the screen where I have to press on enter to install Windows XP pro on the system or press R to repair. The problem is that there is now no facilities to choose from in the box below and the system is not recognizing the hard drive. I can't even as much as the screen to format the drive. When I press ENTER to install windows xp, then I get a blue screen telling me that the system shuts down to protect my pc. Is anyone able to tell me what to do to solve this problem please. Thank you very much in advance for your help. Noeloriginal title: I did a stupid thing... Windows XP Pro
Sounds like a hard drive problem then. Your drive is maybe defective. First of all, you can use the partition of diagnostic Dell (F12) for its determination.
In case there is a SATA problem, press F2 to enter the BIOS and change the setting of hard disk SATA to legacy. (Might as well try this first.)
So, I have a Windows Vista laptop and earlier this year, my computer suddenly won't detect or display my CD player. And when I go to disk management, there is no assignment of letter or anything, just an empty space. Please help me! Thank you!

Computer detects something (no dolls just the standard plug and unplug a usb) and that's it. Cable is fine, it is in the rear port USB 2.0 into a witch, he has always been, without modifications have been made to the operating system (this is a computer storage without an internet connection).
Thanks in advance for you're time
Maybe you should post more details about it:
-Exact cell model
-Is an external HARD drive?
-If Yes, what is the description of the exact model?
However, you may try another USB cable. I had a similar problem and the reason was a faulty USB cable.
When I try to install Windows XP, it does not detect my hard drive which is visible in the bios. My bios options are very limited, but I was able to use the bios to change the sata in ide. It still does not work, and now he is not found with the disc of windows 7 I have. This isn't a new pc. He was working at a given time, but foolishly, I formatted the hard drive and have no drivers for my drive hard hitachi. I bought a new seagate Mak, but now this disc hard is not allocated and is also not detected. I have no way to get an operating system and I'm in a jam financially... Please help.
SATA drives are not recognized by Windows XP installation disc. Change the BIOS SATA ATA sometimes solves this problem and allows you to install and sometimes does not. Microsoft's solution is to press the F6 key when you are prompted for additional drivers, and then insert a floppy disk (Yes, it takes a floppy) with the top driver.
"Limited OEM driver support is available with F6 during installation of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003"
Several means have been formulated to work around needing a floppy disk. You can view the following items:
'Install Windovs XP on SATA without floppy (F6)'
"Install Windows XP on a SATA hard drive"

Any plugged into USB drive must be formatted FAT32 (no other type of FAT as exFAT) or HFS +, IE standard Apple format.
In addition, not all drives are recognized.
The internal drive of the TC must be recognized, but there could be problems as well according to the age.
I have a few problems on my laptop [Acer 3810 t]
-The first problem
My mobile give me screen "cannot start windows' who have 2 choices: run the Startup Repair tool and boot normally. I chose to fix it, but nothing happens and stuck "starting windows" and gives unmountable boot volume 'blue screen '. the Dungeon of blues screen appear (for laptop is a not restart). So I turned off my phone and turn it back on it. the "could not start" screen again and I chose to start normally. but the result is negative. My portable Dungeon cannot start windows. Because of that I am using the advanced boot option and choose all the boot type such asit cannot load the safemode, last configuration etc, but the result is the same, you cannot start windows. in safe mode, its stuck in loading fileinfo.sys. I do not give up to try again with the advanced boot option. until I have a bad situation. My laptop can only 1 file in safe mode and blues screen do not appear again (my laptop only return at the beginning of start or restart)
-The second problem
because it cant solved, I want to reinstall my laptop. My OS is Vista 32 bit (pre-installed). I want to install the new operating system, windows 7. I use Dsik Flash bootable USB to install Windows 7. But in the BIOS, it is detected as a USB HDD. So I set my BIOS to load USB HDD to the first order. the installation can be done, but only until the "start Setup" screen and its deadlock. I have it wait up to an hour, but nothing happens. So I'm going to BIOS, change SATA mode to IDE mode AHCI. Then load the USB and go "installation program start screen. but the new problem is the installation of window does not detect my hard drive. So I can not choose the place to install the operating system. I have to load the driver, but I did not. Again to load the configuration to AHCI and IDE, until I get my HDD can detected in IDE mode. So I think I can move easily, I choose custom installation and choose the hard drive to install the operating system. But unfortunately, at the beginning of the process, after choosing the OS, the Installer gives error if installation location the installation failed. (I forgot the error message)
-The third problem
So far, I can't spend 'startup begins' as well in mode IDE and AHCI. Also bootmgr in my hard disk is missing, so I can't go to move the startup repair or the startup option in my HDD as before
What is the error code that you got with blue screen?
I think that there is a problem with your drive HARD check that by contacting acer...
Hello. I had my computer laptop vostro dell for 5 years, and I've never had a problem. A few weeks ago, I was starting, and I got the blue screen of death. I had the same thing when I rebooted. HHD in question is a 120 GB Western Digital Scorpio for drinking devices. Help, please.
You boot from the disk and choose "Try without Unbuntu and change to your computer"?. Honestly, it looks that you have installed. In addition, using raid with Windows Xp support?
If you have chosen to 'Try' Unbuntu I recommend now you run chkdsk /r from the recovery console. The problem is not with the hard drive probably, but with the file system.
Download WIndows Xp Recovery Console from HERE. Save the file to your desktop. You will need to burn the iso image to a blank cd using the same way you did to the image ISO of Unbuntu ImgBurn. Although the instructions below refer to a Windows disk, the disk from the Recovery Console that you create will do the same.
1. Insert the Windows XP CD in your CD-ROM drive and restart your computer. If you are prompted, select any options needed to start (boot) on the CD.
2. when the text portion of Setup begins, follow the prompts. Select the repair or recovery option by pressing R.
3. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot system, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.
4. When you are prompted, type the administrator password. If you have not set a password for the account admin simply press on enter
5. at the command prompt, type chkdsk/r > press ENTER. (Note: there is a space between the slash and the letter k).
6. at the end of the output of scan type > press ENTER.
7 restart your computer.
Computer does not recognize the hard drive when booting. Guard gives me 1782 disk error. Then try to use the ROM installation thing and throw a disc hard test there is no option to test anywhere. Computer was working fine this morning and then I stop when I turned it back on it was not properly start.
I have a zt3000 running xp sp3
someone please help me, thanks
Please reinsert the drive from the rear panel and check if the device detects the drive hard in case you have the same problem, then the hard drive is bad, you need to replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system on the unit to return to its operating state.
I try to install Vista Ultimate on my Tecra S3, but installation does not recognize the HARD drive.
I tried to find the driver for Vista for my computer, but not found RAID.
Tried it with XP drivers, but no longer works.
Do you have an idea where I can download Vista drivers for RAID?
Your suggestion is good. The Tecra S3 supports the RAID, and the RAID driver is required to install the OS on the HARD drive.
On the European driver Toshiba page I found a RAID for XP driver.
I put t know if this driver will run under Vista, but I recommend to test.
The RAID XP 22.214.171.124 driver version can be downloaded from this site:
Please note; You can store the RAID driver on an external USB and Vista should recognize it!
Windows 8 does not see the hard drive on the A200.
How to install it?
S strange Windows 8 should already contain the HARD drive controller driver to recognize the HARD drive during installation.
The HARD drive is visible in the BIOS?
Do you use the original disc from Microsoft of Windows 8?
Recently I buyed a new satellite Toshiba A205-S4777 with Windows Vista home premium installed
and I noticed too many errors in Windows Vista and the pc is very slow so I decided to downgrade to XP
I want to directly install Windows XP but the installer does not recognize the hard drive or more exactly controllers!
I nLite Sata drivers in Windows Xp Sp2, I bought on the microsoft.com site!
Everything worked well.
The Installer recognized fine hard and Setup finallased!
But here's the problem when loading windows and try to pass on gorge yourself sort of blue screen one unreadable!
And restarts and let, it does all day the same thing!
I'm afraid that I have not nLite the right drivers.
Is there anyone Heve downgraded this model?
Maybe you did not use good SATA driver? :| Who knows
The point is that there are two different versions of Intel Matrix Storage Manager supports different chipsets.
I put t know what chipset is in charge of your laptop but you should check this and must also check the description of the Intel Storage Manager and check what chipsets are supported.
In addition, you should have a look here in this doc from Toshiba:
[How to integrate a SATA AHCI driver into a Windows XP installation CD | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm]
I have a Qosmio F30-112.
I tried to install the Windows XP Professional instead of the Media Center edition.
However, during the execution of the installer, my laptop does not recognize the hard drive. Therefore, the installation cannot continue.
I thought it might be a problem of corruption with my laptop and reinstalled Media Center Edition successfully.
But when I try to install XP Professional it always gives me the same error.
Suggestions for the configuration of the BIOS or solutions for why this is happening?
Thanks in advance.
Just a question:
You are looking for in this forum for other similar issues with regard to the installation of Win XP and lack HARD drive? I doubt
The fact is that your notebook has a SATA controller and you need a SATA (Intel Matrix Storage Manager) driver.
You should have a look here in this doc from Toshiba:
[How to integrate a SATA AHCI driver into a Windows XP installation CD | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB85017Z0000R01.htm]
and should also search this forum for other threads
