Help on bluetooth and wireless printing HP deskjet portable printer 460c

Hello

I bought this portable printer HP 460c of my friend, but it doesn't have its own bluetooth card

so now I use only a dongle bluetooh because theres no store in my country where I can buy

HP bluetooth card.

I tried to print using my phone when I am connected to its bluetooth, but it displays only images and it

Unable to print documents. Is there a setting I should change on its HP 460 series Toolbox so she can

to print documents and other files correctly?

Will it be fuction properly using just an ordinary bluetooth dongle?

Here's a newbie question, how can I connect the printer to my wireless connection?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Hello-

If your device is set up correctly, you should be able to print your bluetooth dongle. I locate a card 802.11 g which might be compatible with the 460c.

http://www.Amazon.com/CB001AA2L-802-11g-printer-compact-CompacFlash/DP/B000F1WHK0

We used to have a wireless dongle that was similar to the bluetooth one, but I can't locate it.

I hope this helps you.

To enable web services or reprint the code of the printer, you need to enter the printer EWS. To get the IP address of the printer you need to hold the scan button and it prints the network configuration to get the IP address of the printer.

    1. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
    2. Select the Web Services tab.
    3. on the left side, select print info page.

  • USB and wireless printing on PhotoSmart 7525

We recently purchased a printer all-in-one PhotoSmart HP 7525.  I created the printer via a USB cable to a single computer (the main desktop computer).  The printer works perfectly in this way.

We also have a wireless network and other devices on the network to use the HP printer.  However, the main desktop computer doesn't have wireless connectivity, it's why I connected the printer with a USB cable.  I don't want to replace Wireless USB connectivity.  I want to add wireless capabilities, so we have two options available (USB only for the desktop, wireless for iPhones, ipads and other computers on the wireless local area network).  Furthermore, I realize that we need to install the printer drivers on any PC without wire that we want to have access to the PhotoSmart printer.

What I want to do is to leave the main computer set up exactly as it is (USB connection).  I want to put the printer on the wireless network without disturbing this set-up.  What is the best way to add this printer to our network on the main computer wireless capability wireless?

Thanks a lot for your help.

In fact for the specific printer you can do it from the Panel as well.

Follow these steps to connect the printer to the new network by using the Wireless Setup Wizard.

That is right. Can only connect to one SSID at a time. To fix this simply disable and turn off wireless directly into the printer. Now connect to your routers SSID all the time. Fact.

  • HP Deskjet 3050 has J611 series watch in trouble with wireless printing

    Hey there,

I have just a series of combat a HP Deskjet 3050 printer a J611 and wireless printing to work perfectly. However, for the last week or so is no more.

The printer is connected to the network, as the result of the wireless network test is proven and it is the same network that the laptop is connected to. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software. The wireless light is on and I can see the signal strength and the IP address. However, it still works.

I also I sent an email to the printer to see if it worked. Initially, I received an automated email saying my printer is not connected to the internet and then printing will be delayed. I didn't touch the printer after that, but about 6 hours later it started to print.
I also tried to connect the printer with a USB key and configure settings wireless via USB does not work either. The computer cannot find a printer connected to the network. There is no firewall blocking the application or the printer.

    My settings:

    Router broadband wireless ADSL2 + -.
    Huawei EchoLife HG521
    TalkTalk
    Laptop - Medion Akoya E7214
    32-bit operating system
    Windows 7 Home Premium

Help with this would be much appreciated! Thank you!

    Larissa

I doubt disturbed the other printer.  Kaspersky can be a problem, but we're going to explore other things first.

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • HP PhotoSmart 6525 Switching Back-and-Forth between USB and wireless

    Hello

I set up my HP PhotoSmart 6525 following installation 'wireless with a router' instructions (i.e. No Direct wireless).  I am able to print from my laptop through the wireless network.  I would also like to be able to print from my laptop using the USB connection at the time where my laptop is physically sitting next to the printer.  At times where it is not the case, I want to continue to be able to print wireless.

Is it possible to install the printer drivers on the laptop so that I can switch easily back and forth between printing USB and wireless printing?  I suspect that it is not possible because of the user's guide has a section describing how do to "Change a USB connection to a wireless network" you click on an item of menu called "convert a connected USB printer wireless.  There are no instructions to know how to convert USB.  In addition, the use of the word "convert" makes no sound as you can maintain the two methods to print simultaneously on a single computer.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how?

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul2

    Hey Paul2,.

I see that you have the HP Photosmart 6525 installed for a wireless printing capability and would also like to add a USB driver so that it is available for use by the printer.  Please follow the steps below to add a copy of the printer for USB printing.  The steps below are for Windows 7 and below computers.  If you have Windows 8, then the steps will be slightly different then let me know.  Please let me know if you have a Mac, because I can provide these steps at this point here.

    • Press the start menu of the computer
    • Select all programs
    • Open the HP folder
    • Open the folder for the Photosmart HP 6520 series
    • Select "printer setup and software."
    • Select the option to add a new printer
    • Select the USB option
    • Connect the USB cable when the software asks and proceed through the installation process

You let driver Jack without wire in place and add a second printer in the devices window and print USB printers.  The USB printer may contain 1 copy in the name as a differentiation, but it must also indicate network in the name of the printer to indicate that it is the wireless option.

    I hope this helps.

  • problem setting up wireless printer

    Original title: device

I have some problem with usb cable and wireless printer setting
I'm really not sure why or what to do
It says to install a WSD printer device - don't know what it was but when tried to click on it - it would not set

First, you will need the printer drivers to find the printer (wired or wireless) on any computer that you want to configure the printer on. You can get the printer drivers from the website of the manufacturer of your computer or a disk driver that came with your computer, when you bought it. Second, all of the computers you want to connect to the wireless printer should also have the software for the installed printer. Finally, before you can get a working wireless printer there need to work with a wired connection (this should all be covered in the manual.)

See the manual for step by step installation. Visit manualowl.com or just see by the manufacturer. If you can't do that, I'm sure you can do the next step.

Contact the manufacturer of your printer. They will guide you through the installation. They will have installation instructions ready. If you have no software to install, you will need to order it or download it via the manufacturer.

  • DeskJet 2546 b: Wireless print job stays in queue and poster printer offline after the upgrade to Windows 10

I write a fix I found for a pretty annoying problem involving 10 Windows and HP wireless printers.

My Deskjet 2546-b printer was printing OK wireless to the point 8.1 of Windows until that I upgraded my computer to Windows 10. Immediately after I upgraded to Windows 10, I could not scan, so I reinstalled the printer software and has worked for a day or two and then the printer would print not unless I restarted the printer or the computer - sometimes 2 or 3 times. This went on for a few weeks, sometimes it would be nice, sometimes, usually after the computer restarts, he would simply go offline. Once, he went offline 3 times when I was printing about 20 postage labels, recently he went 1 week without any problems.

Long story short, after a lot of troubleshooting and to help a friend to HP, I found the problem to be associated with the WSD/service Port in Windows 10. My printer still maintains a stable connection with my Netgear router (wireless to the printer light stays on blue) and I was able to scan from the HP software and I could ping the printer... but printing would be just stuck in the print queue (the spooler service) and the printer showed offline in the queue, hardware and windows devices , or when printing from a program like Windows.

I learned that if I went in devices and printers, until I sent a print job, if the printer showed offline, I could save time by restarting the printer simply and he would come every time (less painful) online.

But it's just a solution and not a solution.

Nothing worked... not even print and scan doctor. The final fix that worked was to define an IP address manually for the printer, and then I put the print driver to use a standard TCP/IP port.

Here is the step by step. Your printer must already be connected to your network (solid blue on printer).

Step 1: Make sure your printer uses a manual IP address

    (1) to obtain the IP address of your printer:

    • If your printer has a control panel with a menu, it's easy... Just look in the settings menu without wire/report and write your printer IPv4 address.
    • If your printer is not a menu of fancy and repower the computer and printer HP Print and Scan Doctor network menu display use (wireless), or you can connect to your router from a web browser (usually 192.168.1.1) and look at attached IPs (like me). Some printers can also print a report of the network when you hold down some buttons everything back up and running, but you will need to search the web site of the Internet or HP to find the process for your printer model - the report displays the IP Address of the printer.

    (2) once you have the IP address of the printer number, type this information in a web browser... like 192.168.1.x (where x is the last number of your printer)

Web page of the printer should find - otherwise, use another browser (you can use a tablet or iPad if you want). HP has several different forms of printing of web pages (embedded web servers) depending on your printer model, but they all have a large number of parameters.

    (3) since the network tab or section, look for a manual IP address configuration.

    (4) suggest an IP address or type in a new.  I've personally used suggest and then replaced by the last number 241. You want to use a high number, something in the order of 240 to 250 to reduce the risk of problems caused by your router assign this number to something else on your network. Note the 4 digits for the new IP address manual, you will use them later.

    5) click apply and close the web page of the printer.

Step 2: Make the print driver using the manual IP address of the printer

Open the devices and printers in Windows, right click on your printing device and select printer properties. Follow the prompts to get the WSD port and on a new local port...

    1) click on the ports tab.

    (2) add the Port.

    (3) click on after the first screen, and then click new port type.

    (4) enter the IP address of the printer.

    (5) next.

    (6) select the new port.

    7) click OK.

You have now two pilots displayed in the printers and devices window, you can now print... but you might not be able to scan and the HP printing software may not work as he might want to lets you add a new printer when you open it... If Yes, proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Remove print devices and install a new one.

Need to do this to get the software back HP synchronized so you can scan.

    (1) right click 2 print devices listed in the window of your printer and remove them by clicking on remove device.

    (2) open the HP printer Assistant software (from the icon on the desktop or you can search Windows by using the name of your printer).

    (3) installation/add a new printer... go fast and a new device icon is added to the printers and devices window.

    4) return to the printers and devices window and open the properties of the printer again for your printer icon.

    5) go to the ports tab (yet) and you'll see a new selected WSD port, select Port Standard, you created earlier in step 2.

    (6) you have now two print devices in the window (again), but now everything should work.

These two devices alone from here on out. Do not remove one and everything should work fine. At least it worked for me. I hope it works for you. I'm hoping a Windows update resolves this problem soon, I see many people who cannot print or scan wireless after they upgraded - not just the stuff of HP.

OK, unplug the USB cable from your printer and your PC.  Leave the telephone line connected like that.
