Help, please! Intel graphics hd 4000/nvidia k2000m questions

Hey guys, I'll have two both of my graphics (intel HD 4000 + nvidia k2000m) first of all I am a musician and I run a recording software (avid protools) off the w530. for some reason, I'm having problems using a secondary monitor... The computer is not output any signal through the vga port or mini HD on the graphics card intel HD 4000... I tried to hit win + p to activate the option of mutiple monitor, I updated the driver of 4000 intel HD and still no signal output... so when I switch to the k2000m, everything works perfectly... both vga and mini HD port works, but for some strange reason, I get cpu overload in my burning software... Almost if the computer longer hard using the k2000m... Idk if this is a driver issue, but I really need the dual monitor working in my w530 function... Any ideas or suggestions to solve these two problems. Thank you

Hi Mpcsauce,

Welcome to the forums. All external monitors are dictated by the discreet displayport graphics card from Nvidia, such as the VGA and mini ports are physically connected to this card. Therefore, integrated graphics card Intel can only go out to screen integrated notebook (Nvidia card can do, if force you it in the BIOS).

The best thing to do is to make sure that the graphic card in the BIOS settings is set to "NVIDIA Optimus", given that the laptop switches between card Intel and Nvidia, providing the best combination of performance and battery life. Your second question is strange, but I would like to begin by updating the drivers on the K2000m.

    Hello

I am a newbie to the graphic. When I bought my laptop I was told that it has integrated intel graphics hd 4000. When I checked the Device Manager there is no driver or device. Is it because it is incorporated in the processor or have I missed any driver.

    Please help me.

I've updated the driver by right-clicking on it in Device Manager. That solved the problem. I realized that this happens because hd 4000 Intel graphics driver has been released after the release of win 7. That's why win 7 provides the basic installation driver. Once you are connected to the network and if you update it will install the correct driver.

It turned out to be very simple in the end.

Thank you all for your support.

    Hello

No. growing laptop RAM will not increase dedicated video memory.  There is no dvmt setting in the BIOS to allow the owner to increase beyond what is already set to.

    So basically all the unrest started when I tried to download the emulator android kkkkk. After I downloaded it, it prompt me to install the latest intel driver. I did, but once I restarted my computer it did not effect, so I tried to go to the website of intel and download the driver it is recommended. However, I get this message;

"The pilot is not validated for this computer.  You can get the correct driver from the manufacturer of the computer.
    The Setup will exit. »

So I downloaded the driver HP Manager hoping that she would have the driver I need. But it costs $40, and when I did the free scan, it says my graphics when it is updated, so I don't mind not to buy it because it wouldn't solve my problem.

I tried to go to control panel / Manager devices and right clicking on check the updates for both, but they are completely up to date. This driver was last updated was a year ago.

How can I get the updated driver, I need?

Also, if I can't get the driver, can I just use a windows 64-bit, disc operating system and remove all traces of HP of the OS, or are there compatibility problems?

    Thanks for any help,

    Hello:

If the graphics are functioning normally there is nothing you can do.

Two tha AMD and Intel graphics drivers are really obsolete way now.

This is a custom made driver worked on Intel/AMD and HP, and unfortunately, they do not release too many updates to this kind of drivers.

  • How to disable the generation of intel graphics hd 4000 video on Dell Inspiron 3521?

Hello, I recently bought the Dell laptop inspiron 3521. It comes with AMD Radeon HD M 8730. But it seems that the computer is not at all. Two video cards with drivers up to date.
I tried with disable the generation in the video card, but when I do the pc starts using displayer Basic windows and it does not recognize one of the video cards.
I tried with different drivers for the amd video card from dell and amd sites, but without success. I also tried switchable graphics and other options in the amd catalyst control center, but I have found no solution, either.
There is also no option to disable or set prefferable video card in the BIOS settings.
Is that what anyone has any other ideas how to solve this problem.

You cannot disable the Intel GPU - this is the only one who has a link with the display panel.  The AMD GPU is simply a video coprocessor - it transmits data through the Intel GPU on its way to the display panel.

Although there are some systems that allow you to select the video chip at the hardware level, is not one of them - the video system is fully controlled by software.  You select the AMD GPU on a per application basis.  The GPU from Intel is still the main - there is no way to change this.

Look in your control panel - you should see the entries for these two video circuits.  If you do not, you have a driver problem.  If you do, then select the GPU to use with the Catalyst Control Center.  Note: there ARE some applications - including many games, especially older - that won't work with the AMD GPU because they are not written in support of switching graphics.  If this is the case, you may need an update or a paid upgrade to a new version of the game.

See below with one however: is however that neither GPU is the height for many games - nVidia and Intel GPU are well behind the curve of game.

Hello, I need help. I have the HP ENVY 700-214, I absolutely love it.

If there was one thing I could change, however, it would be the graphics card. Which brings me to my question.

What is the best graphic card compatible with desktop HP ENVY 700-214? I've got DirectX 11 and Intel HD graphics card. I want to get a GeForce graphics card, but I don't want to spend my money on evil. Help, please.

    JayrollsJay, welcome to the forum.

Here is a small but powerful video card that should work on your computer.  It requires only a 300W power supply (PSU) with no extra power connector.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

You should only as a last resort, to install the drivers of devices offered by Windows Update. I suggest that you go to the link below and search for the latest drivers for your display device.

    From Intel's Download Center.

  • Photoshop CS6 use only Intel Graphics after NVIDIA updated

    Hey

After that I updated the NVIDIA (320.49) drivers on your laptop with a geforce GT540M map

Photoshop poster now only the graphics device built on the motherboard, the default

Intel 3000. (im in Preferences > performance > settings of the graphics processor)

How do for it to work and have it PS use the right graphic card?

Please do not answer 'contact nvidia' because they say to contact adobe. And

PS is the only software to have problems after the upgrade, so I consider

    This a problem of PS.

    Windows 8 + Photoshop Cs6 x 64

If anyone has the same problem:

I finally understood this, I had to right click on the PS icon and select

Run with GPU > High Performance NVIDIA

And this as the default to use map. Now it works as it should again, thank God!

  • D830 change Nvidia motherboard for Intel graphics card

    Hello

I have a failure with Nvidia Quadro NVS 140 m, 2.4 GHz C2D T8300 D830 and 15.4 "1680 x 1050. He got a new motherboard once, a year ago through extended warranty, but now he's already dead once again...

I thought to be converted to Intel graphics. Anyone know if this is possible? I know that the heatsink is different (although I think that if you remove the part that cools the graphics card, it would be the same?). But is there something else that does not correspond to?

I was thinkig to buy this motherboard:

    http://www.eBay.co.UK/ITM/grade-A-Dell-Latitude-D830-motherboard-Assembly-Intel-CN-0MY199-019A-/141183504751?PT=motherboards&hash=item20df31516f

I found the similar discussion here, only one response saying that several pieces are different... but is it true and who then parts?

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19469831/20199932.aspx

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, it is possible.  You will also need to change the radiator fan, since the Intel is not the nVidia board and vice versa.
