Help resizing partition to allocate more space to the operating system
I shared the size of my HD between OS & Windows when I partitioned. I do not use Windows often but it's nice to have. I would like to allocate more space to the operating system I use the low disk space. I've seen several posts on the removal of Windows, the partition and then re-create it with the new size. I also saw people talk about other programs to do. What is the best way to do it without compromising the integrity of my HD? OS X 10.10.5 - Windows 7 SP1 64 bit
Thank you.
The Apple-supported method is to remove Windows (Wizard BC only) and re-install Windows on a smaller Windows partition. Third-party tools come in a variety of commercial to the OpenSource and will work with varying degrees of success.

I can reduce the volume (D :) thus creating an unallocated volume, but could not increase volume (c) of the latter.
Is this all just impossible or would I need to use a special tool?
In which case I can not allocate more space to (c), can I use the empty space to (d) of my own files?Post edited by: karinchristi: subject has been corrected
Hello
You can resize the partitions with Paragon partition manager, but you need to know if resize the C partition, the hard disk (F8 on starup) image recovery utility, will not be available. And 1 point, you must back up all files before partitioning, because sometimes it can be wrong and you cannot start Windows.

Dell Dimension 2400 with XP.
mjcandlec1,
Welcome to the forums. Firstly (and this is just my personal opinion) you can actually have a bit more large partition for the operating system. Just to receive the updates and service packs and other. This article will show you how to change the default location of My Documents. Also when you install programs then ensure you that you change the default installation directory, it will try to go on the C: drive.

More space for the partition windows 10
I tried to use bootcamp and partition my computer to be mainly bone and part windows, but when I restarted my computer it will automatically boot windows. I guess so worst cases and that the bones disappeared and I wanted to increase the size for windows. I don't know how to do this with any access to the operating system.
If you hold down the option key pressed at the start to the top or alt gr if you are using a windows keyboard give you a boot menu where you can choose which operating system you want to start in

I started a site in Dreamweaver CS3 using a 2 model set with header column. My client wants more space between the navigation bar on the left column and the body, as well as around the photo incorporated into the body. I tried to adjust the padding by modifying the CSS style on the segment from the body. However, every time I add a single pixel of padding to the right or left in the entire body goes to below the navigation bar. Help! My width is 750 pixels and the float is set to the left if it makes a difference.
This means that you have not set the widths of the inner containers
leave more space. In other words, when you increase the padding, you would
to reduce the width of some of the same amount - inquire about the 'BOX MODEL' for

Original title: received message 'disk full '. I can see 933 GB of free space when I display the properties of the operating system (c :)) help, please!
New computer - Dell Inc. 05DN3X (CPU 1), MS Windows 7 64-bit SP1, processor Intel Core i7 930 at 2.80 GHz, 6.00 GB Triple - Channel DDR3 @ 666 MHz, 977 GB Western Digital WDC WD10EALX - 759BA1 (SATA).
Problem:Downloaded a program (32 MB) (SRIM 2011.exe) commonly used to work and tried to extract it to a new folder on the OS (C :) - received message 'disk full'.) I can see 933GB free space when I discover the properties of the operating system (c) - Quota is turned off.Have used the program mentioned above (SRIM.exe) several times before using different operating systems XP to work without problem...Help, please!THXGiven that this was written in 2011, I'm sure you understood something at this stage. However, the post also has much a views, so I think it might be a persistent problem, so I'll post my solution:
When I copied the file SRIM - 20xx.e in a folder of SRIM-20xx under Program Files, I had a "Disk full" error when trying to extract the files, even though I had a lot of space on my hard drive and without limits. After a bit of messing around, I like the solution is to move the SRIM-20xx folder on the desktop, and then unpack it. After extraction, which leaves you with a lot of seemingly useless files, double-click CONFIGURATION and the installation will begin appropriate. Installation will create a file under Program Files, there will be no need to make things happen later, simply remove the meantime extract the folder to your desktop computer.

Police take more space in the web browser when it is published in space seen in Muse
Hello
I have a problem with the space occupied by the text block when it is published in a web browser, the police take more space in the web browser space seen in Muse.
When I compare the two images, the dimensions are the same, the difference is the space occupied by the police, in the muse, it is more condensed than in the web browser. Why? How can I avoid this in order to get the correct result in the web browser in Muse?
Thank you.
You certainly can't avoid it! Each browser uses its own text engine and makes the fonts in its own way. You can only anticipate this behavior and choose your text blocks and policies accordingly. This, incidentally, causes me never (!) use justified text on the web, as you well obviously.

"No more space on the home screen"
Two of my home screens have a lot of vacation, but now when I try to place a Widget on one of them I get the error message 'No more space on the home screen'. It used to work fine - but now I press on and hold on an empty spot on the screen and select 'Widget', but I get this error message when I select the Widget I want on my screen. I can place a folder or shortcut without problem, just can't place a Widget. Any suggestions?
Widgets done come n a variety of sizes. Sometimes the size appears after the name of the widget (4 x 1, 4 x 2, etc.). I think that the FB widget is big enough, maybe 4 x 3 or 4 x 4. He needs a little space.

Will there be repercussions to Program Files on one partition other than the operating system of the installation? Most if not all the software packages allow to customize the installation. I had an experience with OFFICE 2013 and this allowed me to install on a separate partition. After installation, I checked the menu START was 2013 OFFICE & I was able to launch PwrPt without complications.
My motivation for doing this is that I have several versions of LabView which occupies the huge disk space. So if I can separate the backup image of my OS program files is greatly reduced in size. This allows me to record several images of my OS by dates without needlessly chewing my external hard drive.
Anyone know this & if yes are there complications or questions?
Appreciate any feedback

Have a Dell system, caught a virus and it has really messed up the PC. Recently, it got worse so I tried to reinstall the operating system with the Dell disks. It wouldn't work. So I bought for Windows 7 Professional, it will not be installed. My first question when installing a new operating system isn't automatically wipe the hard disk, create a new partition, and then install the operating system? Because this does the same as the Dell disks, is to take what is on the hard drive and put it in a folder called windows old, is not formatting the HD. When I boot the disk, it shows the installation of files then open windows and start the installation. Before he could finish I get an error missing or corrupted files. Tried several times now, windows will still not open. Any suggestions? Once while trying to install the pc crashed with a blue screen which is one of the reasons why I have reinstall the OS, he started to plant a few times. I don't remember all the details on my PC, but its 4 years, triple core coprocessors, ram 8 GB, 500 GB HD. At the same time just after all this started in Jan. I had also improved my 3 GB to 8 GB memory. I bought the Dell memory for my system. Since the crash, could there be a problem with these new memory chips? Last night I tried to disassemble each and reinstalling it, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Before I tried to reinstall the operating system, the pc was see the concert 8.

Disconnect any other (additional) internal hard drives and external USB devices.
Look for any loose hard drive power or cables SATA, graphics card or other power cables.First run Memtest86 +:
It runs from a floppy disk or CD and should eliminate or confirm if one or more of your memory
sticks are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.
Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), so no errors at that time then your ram is OK.

I recently installed a mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC V1.004. The game won't start not even, instead, it gives me the following message:
This application is not compatible with the operating system installed.
Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or more.I'm under Win 8 64 bit. I have uninstalled and rebooted twice (both game and mod) does not.
I have to downgrade to XP to be able to play this awesome mod, he ran on this platform with the same configuration before, why he now rejects it know not only the people at Ms.
Please help if possible
Thank you very much

Probably, all in all probably is a 16-bit program, and as such does not work on Windows 8.0/8.1 64 bit. In addition, the game seems to have 20 years or more. You can try running in compatibility mode, but I think that the game is dead. Hope this helps and if you need help please post and we will be happy to help you.

NTSC and PAL are analog standards and don't apply to the share or export settings in iMovie.
