• Need some advice on a motion graphics/editing PC build.

  Here's the deal. I was builing custom PC of for more than 20 years, but not a system anything close to that I intend to build then and need expert advice and information about a person to her. I'm looking to build a system designed for video editing, creating motion graphics and 3D modeling, and some argue more questions about which components would be best for my needs (mainly on the graphics card and hard drives).

  
  

  The first is the card video (s). And I say 'maps' because I don't know if I need more a card for what I am trying to accomplish. I have create many long 3D animations and complex using Blender and After Effects, in addition to changing a variety of projects in creation and you want the best bang for my money. My budget for this system is quite high ($5 k and 10 k $) and I know I can get amazing at this price performance if I get the right equipment. Thus, on the cards. From what I have gathered, briefly, Google search, is that I want a card with CUDA Nvidia for video editing. My main question in this area is, would be to dual graphic cards or using SLI quad be good in what I'm doing or is SLI mainly intended for improved game performance? From what I understand, I think that (at least the video, not sure about 3D animation) is done mainly using the CPU and GPU not; Although the help of CUDA. Basically, I need to know how useful it is. If I bought two or four GTX 980 see a significant improvement in After Effects, Blender or creation? I plan to get one of the top (if not the top) i7 CPU I can find, so it won't be a bottleneck of my CPU performance, so please does anyone suggest to put the money into the CPU rather than the GPU because I already put the maximum amount here.

  
  

  My other main question is regarding hard disks (or solid state). I'm doing a bit of editing and modeling 3D on a laptop and it's getting really well for projects bit, that I have worked so far, but as I started to work on projects that have strict deadlines, I'll need a system that can make it basically as fast as possible. My main question in this area is, should I use any sort of RAID array. I looked at several forums, but none of them specifically answered the question for my unique situation. Most other forums says ' well, if you will only use it for editing and not animation "etc but I'm going to do a 3D animation as well, so I need to know what the answer is in this case instead... I also know that the other messages regarding the change of systems, to recommend the use as three discs for things like "scratch disks". I have a feeling that I'll get a few recommendations here saying I need like seven discs for what I'm trying to make, which are the answers that I really can't wait to hear about. I mainly looked at RAID 5, 6, & 10 but do not fully understand them, and have in fact never implemented in any system I've built so far. From what little I understand, I think that RAID 10 would work better for my needs, which offers a great read & write speeds which is important and also provides redundancy, which IMO is even more important. I can't have the system down for an hour, or worse a week because one of my drives breaks down. My other question in this area is a table of the SSD would greatly improve performance in a RAID 10 array? Would it be profitable? I read in a post recently that drives hard actually handle more large files better than SSDs and worried to SSD in the test bench because they would not be able to handle larger video files and I'll use it frequently as well as hard drives would be. I guess I'll be shooting and editing many 4K projects soon and need a system that will handle this resolution well. If I have to use 4 hard drives in an array of RAID 10 for my OS (the RAID for speed and redundancy), drive a small SSD for a scratch disk and a large SSD or HARD drive for a player video output, please list the exact readers/configuration that you would suggest that I use and why. I am very interested in a bit of a discussion here to get the best possible configuration for the money and will respond to all sincere responses as quickly as possible.
  

  I know I already asked several complicated issues here but am hoping someone with a little more experience that I have in building editing systems can provide some advanced tips and help me and someone else who can try to build a similar system in the future. I know also that this issue is not specifically intended for the AE, but it has to do with this and because EI is editor and motion graphic, I'm find the best advice for a system that will edit video and create animations.   simply 2xssd raid 1 (mirror) for the OS/applications.

  1 ssd for zero/previews

  second raid 6 or 10 with the hdd or ssd for the media.   (if you don't get a lot of drives to get the speed, you will want to use ssd.)

  No raid for backups. can use several disks hard, but in combination with off-site, such as cloud backup.

  Optional could be another ssd for cache/export. If the ssd scratch fails, it would be able to support.

  I have a laptop with Windows 7 Home Basic pre installed, it was authentic 100%. At that time I was 12, I don't know what Windows Anytime Upgrade (I don't know about the authentic software, pirate, crack, serial, k product key, etc because I was 12). I entered, and there was a lot of function of the new Windows 7 (Home Premium, professional, ultimate). I tried the product key for Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade (just try, you know about the time that was my first laptop...), I found it on a website, not a keygen, crack or hack, it is only the serial number. I try to enter the upgrade key Windows 7 Ultimate for Windows Anytime Upgrade. First of all, the upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate cancelled because the series was not valid. So, I canceled it.

  Suddenly, when I restart my pc, it is automatically upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate! It's weird! I waited and my PC has become Windows 7 Ultimate... I used the Windows Update, and it is perfectly works like a charm! I did not know why the non-genuine Windows 7 Ultimate could not detected as not authentic, I used it for almost 2 years as a truly authentic Windows, no window pop up, no warning non-genuine, it's like the real genuine Windows.

  We all make mistakes, and you have obviously learned and right.

  If you reinstalled or recovered the version that came with the PC, then updated this licensed version of Windows 10, you should have nothing to fear.

  Are you satisfied with your performance of Windows 10?  If so, I would like to put a Backup system of Image so you can easily retrieve it in 20 minutes using a recovery disk.

  If not you can always do a superior Clean install Windows Upgrade 10.

  Even if you don't do this now, there are many tips in the link to ensure the best possible installation.

  Let us know how it goes.

  At this point, you're pretty much stuck to a GPU upgrade. You see, that the GTX 560 Ti is not is properly supported in first Pro CC 2015 when it comes to acceleration GPU of MPE. As such, you may experience random program crashes and/or repeated which are fixed only when you disable acceleration GPU of MPE and run first in software mode only MPE.

  The other improvements are out of the question: the i7 990 X CPU uses the chipset Intel X 58 now-seven-year-old, whose native Intel SATA ports are limited to SATA II (3 GB/s or 300 MB/s) flow. All support 3 SATA or USB 3.0 on motherboards that use such an old chipset comes entirely from complement third-party chipsets to companies such as NEC/Renesas and Marvell. And we know how slow the Marvell SATA 3.0 ports work are compared with native Intel SATA 3 implementation on newer chipsets. Unfortunately, a CPU upgrade would have exceeded the maximum budget $ 350 because both the CPU and motherboard (and probably RAM as well) should be replaced by such upgrade. And additional SSD upgrades are out of the question because newer SATA SSD would have been restricted by the sustainable maximum rate of 270 MB/s of SATA II.

  Therefore, the only feasible upgrade would be a new GPU for your system now five-years.

  Last summer, I bought my first NEW Toshiba laptop, sure that he would be the BEST computer I've ever owned! Well, that was until the NEW HDD has not only three months later, making me lose ALL the images of my childhood! Ready to recover all these photos, I put off to send the laptop to Toshiba for repairs as my father and I worked for months to try to extract the data from a failed hard drive. We spent many hours and a lot of money, and nothing has worked. Resigned, I called Toshiba to get my hard drive replaced (my computer was under warranty). Although the first lady was unfriendly and rude, the case manager I talked after him was the image of professional, she apologized profusely and said: second day of air would be sent a box to pick up my computer! She promised that the repair would cost nothing, take only a week and returned the second day of the air! I was happy!

  Two days later, I registered for the box when he arrived, packed my computer and sent it to Toshiba. I received a call to let me know that they have received and a call a week later to say it had shipped and was heading towards me! It had to happen on Tuesday, so I stayed home all day not wanting to miss his arrival, imagine my surprise when not only did he not arrived Tuesday, he didn t happen several days after as well!

  On Friday, I was quite worried call Toshiba. When I explained that I would have received my computer now, they told me that UPS had rendered the computer at my door on Tuesday! My Doorbell never rang and was never asked to sign for a package! Toshiba said that they did not apply for a signature on my laptop $800! They said that it was the fault of UPS s and I should talk to them! So, either he was delivered and stolen or never delivered at all!

  When I called UPS, they apologized for the confusion and said that Toshiba would have to be the one to bring it to the missing point! Then I called once more where they told me there was nothing they could do and that I would have to file a police report and talk to Toshiba repair service. I been waiting for 45 minutes for service and nobody has ever said! When I finally hung up and called back case manager, I spent more than an hour on the phone, explaining that even if I understood that it was an opportunity very rare for Toshiba, I could not afford to spend hours waiting for a Department that did not, only to try to solve a problem that could have been avoided on Toshiba end of s if they requested a delivery signed on a very expensive item! And they would not have had to face this problem if they were not given a defective item in the first place! They told me to wait for Department of repairs to call and that I had to file a police report, provide documents and wait for Toshiba and UPS to hash things.

  Well, the repair Department has STILL not returned my call, although several messages have been sent to them to ask them to call me! I am a student and desperately need a computer to take care of the College work, taxes, planning and other! I can't afford the many months it will take to get this sorted out in addition to the EIGHT months that I have owned a computer brand new broken! I put t know what to do!

  My mother suggested that I use my prepaid Legal Service to resolve, but I d really rather not venture that disorder can anyone suggest a solution? It seems as if it was too rare an opportunity that Toshiba says it is, he n t be as big of a deal just replace my computer which should not have failed in the first place!

  If you look at the tutorial, I think you will see that you are using "txt" where "text" is needed.  'text' is a property of a textfield, identify the text that contains the textfield object.  I don't know if you're doing something where the num1 object contains another object named txt, but I think that my first sentence catches the problem.

  I use a router WRT54GS v1.1 that has this capability.

  I am wanting to control the bandwidth on my wireless so that my Ethernet (wired) becomes a priority of my internet connection.

  I activated the "Support WMM" option in the configuration of routers (Applications & Gaming).

  Explanations of the router are:

  Hi all, I got this working now. It was something to do with the following:

  Current firmware seems to have some bugs, but I will list those in another message

  -J' had to put the IP Address of the default router 192.168.1.1 that the definition of a caused different IP address wireless devices (laptop) does not connect to

  -Setting a different download speed that 'Auto' seems to cause the wireless devices do not connect

  Will post firmware problems in another post to alert anyone who needs to know in order to make the appropriate changes.

• Help! I need to connect Linksys WAP4400N 3 to an existing linksys WRT350N router

  Please someone help me.

  I have a modem connected to a router (Linksys WRT350N). The router is connected to a PC and then connected wireless to 3 laptops. Everything works very well.

  Now I need to extend the network to 2 other floors and so just bought 3 Access Points (WAP4400N). The plan is to make a wired connection to router for APs on each floor. The router is on the ground floor. I asked the CAT5e cables to the location of the router for the 2 floors where the APs will be.

  Now, this is my problem: when I'm on the upper floors and plug the cables directly on my laptop (AP off and not connected to the cable) I can connect to the internet with the cable connected to the router on the ground floor. I can also connect to the internet via the AP when it is connected to and sitting on the same table as the router on the ground of grongd. However when I take the AP to the upper floors and then connect the cables already thrown for this on the uppr floors I am unable to connect to the internet, but get a 'LIMITED CONNECTIVITY' message.

  Please can someone give an instruction step by step how install and configure a Linksys WRT350 Wireless Router to a Linksys WAP4400N Access Point

  NB. whenever I tried to select automatic DHCP against IP STATIC on the WAP4400N installer it will just in an endless "Please WAIT... RESTART SYSTEM' and the screen remains like this for. So I was able to use STATIC IP in the WAP4400N configuration.

  Since yesterday and today, I have been on it.

  The problem has been as a result of lower cable at my provider. The network is running smoothly. Has been in place since last week when I replaced the lower quality cat5e cable cat5e cable.

  A Board here please be careful and make sure you complete the cable correctly. A bad end can lead to connection problems I discovered in this case when my team confidence terminated cable incorrectly.

  Network is up to & operational

  Hey guys,.

  Thought I'd ask you guys to a general approach on a project I'm starting.  I have a background in computer science, so I lose patience with some of the beginner step by step tutorials that are out there online / in books.  What I lack, it is for you guys to let me know what will be important for me to learn what I want to do and what are the aspects of the Flash I can go without.

  I'm a grad student in Psych clinical and I want to build an interactive processing application.  Which basically translates to is that he will have a series of screens with text, sound, and video clickable icons that will show small films, I developed that my views on the principles of different treatment.  Anyway, I just wanted to know if you guys could give me advice on the best way to do it.  I can animate text and it's kind of basic, but I feel like I kind of sense in the dark right now and do not want to waste too much time on dead ends.  If you guys can give me an idea about the basic components of Flash, I'm going to need a solid understanding of creating a project like this, I would really appreciate it.  I'm sorry if it is vague, just trying to reduce the amount of time I spend of experimentation and if you guys could tell me precisely these modules/tools in the application that I have to use to do this I can take it from there.

  If you are looking for shortcuts, you're not likely to find.  The essential elements you need to know to start with the basics and expand from there.

  One essential thing you should learn is how to find and solve things by yourself using the Flash help documentation and a good search engine like Google.  Almost all the objects/classes have 3 basic elements (properties, methods, events) you need to understand how use/manipulate, and they are all identified in the help documentation.

  If you want to work with videos, start digging to learn the different ways that you can integrate... using a FLVPlayback component or the NetStream class.  If you want to learn how to work with audio, then dig learn how to use the Sound class.

• Professional video equipment and Photo - need your advice work station!

  I try to buy a high-end video and photo editing station and I am really puzzled as to the amount of options, but the absence of advice available in this area.

  I am a professional photographer, getting more professional video work. However, it seems that the video is much more demanding than still photo production, so I'm sure that everything which works well for video works surprisingly well for still images. So, let's focus on the video.

  We turn our video mainly on Canon 7 D and 5 D Mark II cameras in full 1080 p. My question was until now mainly that once I have added 2-3 video tracks, some transitions, an effect or two and a plugin of stability (as prodad mercali) on my calendar, I see is no longer my preview in real time as it is constantly stuttering while audio plays directly through making it difficult and a lot of time to complete projects full.

  Thus, the goal is to create a machine that can make previews in real-time, without falling into excessive and just buying exaggerated. I can't find any articles on what I need to achieve this goal. I'm looking for so to each of you, the pros for help.

  For the new machine, we'll upgrade CS5, so here's what I'm looking for:

  Budget: $5000 or less (lower the better, no exaggeration)

  1) mobility -I need a laptop powerful workstation that does everything, or I'm going to need a desktop computer powerful workstation, with a portable powerful decently for work on the go.

  2) real-time preview -ability to add multiple layers of video/audio, video effects and effects plugin while being able to always look at the preview in real time (no stutter)

  3) quickly made -fast, but it does not need to be as quick as lightning

  4) long term reliability -if I can customize a Dell system and maybe add some parts after market that would be the better so that I can have the most all wrapped up by the same 3-5 years warranty

  5) color reproduction - if mobile, I need a screen that reproduces the colors very well as a display of RGB WUXGA LCD

  Additional thoughts/Questions

  (1) do I need map series Quadro/over-pants or taken consumer charge cards as the GTX470 will do the job?

  (2) how know exactly what card is supported if the #s card is off slightly, as if it lists the GTX470 as being taken in charge, that's the GTX480 caught in charge?

  (3) what is the best for long term performance, attacked the SSD or attacked raptors?

  (4) what is the optimal configuration of complete raid 0 hard drive, or say a disc of starting 10 000 rpm + 2 discs 10 000 rpm of searched (raid 0) for the readers of the edition/work?

  (5) are there any resources comparing differences in performance practices of real life between the high-end as the Quadro cards and over-pants series all by doing real-life tasks such as rendering, video editing, Photoshopping, etc.?

  About the FX 3800 M, it is currently not a GPU supported offering for laptops. The Quadro FX 3800 model for desktop computers IS a solution of support, but not the mobile Variant. We work closely with Adobe on GPU configurations and have constantly been adding extra GPU with each release of Premiere Pro so its our hope to see added in the future, but at this point, it is a solution not supported.

  The performance is difficult to characterize, because there are many variables that come into play. All the GPU, you mentioned are excellent performers and on a desktop platform, all are fully supported solutions.  On a computer laptop platform the Quadro 5000 M is the only solution to support, so if that's important to you (and it's really something to think about from a point of view system property) that will reduce your concentration. Well as on the side of the office, I recommend the Quadro 4000 instead of the older Quadro FX 3800.

• Firefox will not pages, and none of the steps in the section support help. I need a real person to help. Reset, reloading, Proxy, Firewall...

  I went through all the bandages above after receiving the following message "unable to connect".

  Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.msn.com.

     The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
     If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
     If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
  

  I reset, I checked the proxy (for no), I checked the firewall (enabled for FF), I uninstalled/reinstalled, I ran malware check (negative). I'm at my wit's end because I NEED FF for applications work which will not come through IE because of the policy of the company. I need serious help or I'm screwed.

  FF worked perfectly up until a week ago. Now, it starts on the homepage of FF but goes no further, even in safe mode. What gives?

  Hello, normally these problems are caused by a security/firewall software which does not recognize and therefore blocks the new versions of firefox. Please try to remove all the program rules for firefox in your firewall and let it detect the program again: problems connecting to websites after Firefox update
