  I have a new backup disk (a disk of 5 TB of Seagate) and could use help setting up with CCC.

  I did in the past without problem, but I want to assure you of a few things:

  1. This particular drive has software available in a folder on the disk backup (w / the PC and Mac versions). But... I intend to use this disk as an exact copy of my iMac HD; It must also be bootable.
  2. Should I format the drive with disk utility? Or load the software to the CCC on the disk and just leave their only backup software?
  3. One last question: I also have a MacBook Air, an iPad and an iPhone. I want to save them as well. Should I put them on separate partitions, I created? Or can we just one big happy family? The last is best.

  One last piece of information: two computers, etc, were all backed up via Time Machine. My data the most important, photos, etc., are also saved on deposit box and/or iCloud on a regular basis.

  Delete and partition the drive by making a separate partition for each computer. The iPad and the iPhone is useless their own partition because they back up using iTunes and would appear in the clone of the computer that you use for each save. Each partition must be the size of the current cloned drive that can leave you with additional partitions for other stuff. Then format the drive Mac OS Extended journaled. Do not install any software that came with the drive, none of this is necessary.

  I use a very similar setup with a 3 TB drive. I clone my boot SSD in a single partition, my drive internal 1 Tb in a second, my Macbook to a third party, and I have a fourth partition which is currently empty, because I haven't decided what to do with it yet. I also have a 3 to Apple Time Capsule.

  I would go as far as to say that you you need a third-party software to burn the DVD. XP should be able to burn CDs, but I recommend the use of third party for both DVD and CDsoftware. I hope that this will have been provided with your PC and/or an optical drive.

  Keep away from products of packet writing if you can (for example, Nero InCD), I found that it is a very reliable way of writing optical media.

  There is no way to disable CC products. When you enable a CC product on another computer, simply connect to Creative Cloud.CC will ask you if you it will activate on more than 2 computers.

  In order to get it work, there are a few basic server configuration requirements that you need in order to make it work.

  (1) define the field of authentication on the Web server
  (2) set the authentication of domain on the web profile
  (3) enable Single Sign-On

  However, this computer comes with recovery software, in a hidden partition. The recovery discs can be created using VAIO Care if the recovery partition is available. The steps are listed on the link below:

  I'm trying to access an online simulation via MyMIS Lab of Pearson for a class online. I was using this simulation a couple of days, but when I logged on this morning, the simulation does not open. I copy and paste the error message that appears when I try to open it. Basically, it reads "you see this error because you have DEBUG = True in your file settings to Django. Change False and Django will display a 500 standard page. I have no idea what Django settings are and have studied how to change the setting, but I'm not familiar with this at all.   I'll set up a document for a 266-page hard back book and have a few questions.

  (1) how will I know if I am or not to use facing pages? The jacket of the book will be printed separately. I guess I shouldn't use facing pages and leave blank page 1? Page 2 and 3 will be unique spot colors, page 4 will be empty and page 5 will show the first detail.

  (2) I want the numbering to start on page 5 book. How can I tell InDesign to ignore the first 4 pages and effectively start page 5 as "Page 1"?

  (3) when I just export the document, do I export the document in the form of simple pages for printing with purge, or double pages "would break out"? I guess it will be like the unique pages.

  Any help is greatly appreciated...

  You want to set up the InDesign document as pages face to face; It makes more sense to have worked on the layout - when you export it for printing, you will export as single pages.

  You can make your document begin on page five using numbering and Section Options in the pages palette. Simply select start paging to: _ and fill 5 vacuum.

  For a book of this length, I recommend doing each chapter an InDesign document and to join them if a palette book. In my opinion, it makes the process less cumbersome, and you can still sync styles and master pages and have numbering running across documents.
