  My MacBookPro died and I had to reboot time Machine. And, as has happened before, whenever disaster strikes me and I lose time and files, pious Adobe of me unlicensing and there are always 1-2 weeks to get my Adobe products working again. (Sorry for starting with a mug shot, but that's why I like Adobe products, but have learned to hate society).

  I have fire Fireworks + Dreamweaver + Flash CS4 bundle, and I know it must be reinstalled. And I expect to have to uninstall what is already on my drive.

  But when I ran Uninstall Adobe Flash CS4, it acted like it was remove some items, and then I got an error trying to delete almost everything. And when I look in my directories, applications are still there. I select the option not to remove preferences so I don't lose all my Dreamweaver settings for my servers.

  But that means that I was not able to uninstall applications, and my question is what should be deleted if I just drag the apps to the trash.

  In the past, it's the re - install which is practically impossible because my versions updates date of there 15 years and improvements originally, I was able to use one is no longer recognized. (So much for the promises that were given to us when the authorization was introduced in the apps: we wouldn't you worry about locked out apps that we have already - that this promise was not true.)

  Sorry to hear you're still having trouble. I don't know if it would make a difference or no, but you can download installers from here too: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html

  If resettlement after manual removal of the files did not help, you might be better off fresh install of CS4 after a clean install of the operating system.

• I need help, uninstall a program

  I downloaded Hypercam of CNET and it came with the malware.  It redirected my browser, but I was able to fix this.  My problem now is that there is an icon on my desktop labeled "playing games." When I right click on it and select its properties I see this as the target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\FGIcon\Res\fantasticInst.exe.  My problem is that when I go to uninstall this program using the control panel / install or uninstall a program setting, this program is not listed.  How can I remove this program?  Are there other steps I have to take?  Norton said that everything is fine...

  No this isn't a stupid question. Looks like a piece of malware may be involved. First download and run these two scanners, quarantine and remove all infections they find:

  • MalwareBytes (FREE)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (FREE)

  Then a program uninstall 3rd - party may be what you need. I use and recommend free software IObit Uninstaller safely downloaded here: http://download.cnet.com/IObit-Uninstaller/3000-2096_4-75161625.html .

  You don't have to uninstall the trial.  It should be an option where you can activate the software by using the serial number of the purchase you make.  There is no functional difference between the trial version and the purchased version.

  Did you download it directly from Adobe? I've NEVER seen anything like that download or install with an AIR installer "legitimate" in more than seven years. I'd be curious to know from which it came.
