Help... VISTA HOME PREMIUM PREINSTALLED, NO DISK, SYS. RECOVERY DID NOT WORK...

I know that my HP Pavilion is infected, tried everything to get rid of these critters, but to no avil still.  Home Premium is preinstalled on my computer, and received no disc.  I completely format my hard drive.  I need to know if I can use my recovery disc (made by me) to restore vista after I format my HDD, or do I need to have a vista operating drive.  Another thing, I'd like to know, is that I recently bought a vista to windows 7 upgrade.  This upgrade disk could be used as an installation disc if I format my hard drive?

Help, please...

PS...  I think my recovery disk can be bad too...  But am not sure!

If you performed the recovery discs correctly, he should consider it how you bought.
You do not format separately you can boot from the recovery disc and track the recovery process; ask HP how to...

And updated LEVEL Windows 7 disc is that the exclusive use: an upgrade of in a Vista operating system, which is characteristic of malicious software and works correctly.

For ANY questions/problems of collection, contact HP: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/contact_us.html

This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

See you soon.

Sorry, this is not Microsoft.  This is a public forum from user to user hosted by Microsoft on its servers for the comfort of its clients, and we all here are volunteers.

You say you use XP.  What is your question?  What do you mean 'conflicts with Vista?

I suggest recovery discs you order from HP for your computer.  If HP is no longer the issue of stocks you can order such a third of Recovery - Disks.com.  There are several of these companies.  If you are going to use XP, you need to install XP from scratch and this means that you need XP drivers for your brand and model.  If HP has no XP drivers on your computer you must not try to use XP on it.

Remember that Vista Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate out of Microsoft support on 10 April and there will be more updates, including critical security patches after that date.  Only Vista business and company will continue to receive updates.  You might consider this a good time to upgrade to Windows 7.  You must download and run the Windows Update Advisor once you restored Vista successfully.

    Hello

Microsoft is correct; you need the correct product key for each specific edition of Vista.

These information from Microsoft about replacing lost software should help you:

Then you can install it properly.

    See you soon.

PS If you use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista must be installed. The product key determines which Edition is installed.

Builders recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as well as 32-bit and 64-bit editions different DVD lights.

I just received my Windows 7 upgrade disc, followed the procedure and he managed to upgrade Vista 64 bit for Windows 7 32 bit! Some drivers also seem to, were charged more than once.

I tried to do a system restore from the recovery of HARD drive partition - and it won't!

    Can someone, please?

    Hello

Drive HARD recovery does not work because Win 7 ran the Boot Manager and maybe the HDD partition has been affected.

I guess you want to roll back to Vista preinstalled Toshiba.
I think in your case, only the recovery disc will help you.

  • Cannot start XP installation on Vista Home Premium preinstalled Satellite L40-139

    Here's the problem:

I bought a new Toshiba Satellite L40-139 in Austria and comes preinstalled Vista. OK, Vista is in German, and I don't know German. But I made a choice to learn German and to start using a Vista. After a month Vista drives me crazy (no language, just for Vista) and I want to just install XP. I didn't need something more.
I spent more then five days trying to archive this, but without success and I am disappointed, much.

I put aside all types of teaching and I did a lot of things, but none of them helped me.
So the problem is like this:
I made the partition for XP, so I have two partitions as: Vista (C), (D) XP and Datas (G) and my CD/DVD (E :).
I activated just boot from the CD/DVD, but when I insert the CD and start the installation of Vista it tells me something like this:
Press any key to boot from CD...
When I do that, I get a message, which is very fast where it says something like that, (I'm not quiet sure what it says because it's fast):
    Checking your configuration...
After that, nothing happens, don't know why, I just get black monitor and CD/DVD does not work anymore?

It's driving crazy me and I can't install XP.
It seems that does not recognize the CD/DVD, and I tried with several XP bootable CD/s and they work on my desk.

Can someone help, please, because I'm going crazy?

If you have installed XP on this notebook L40 Vista you need a BIOS update to the XP version. All that s

  • My 4 year, Dell inspiron 1525 laptop with Vista Home premium preinstalled windows keeps freezing almost as soon as it starts

about the only way I can do anything, it is to run in SafeMode w / Networking command. When this first happened I thought maybe he had a virus an update of windows at first, so I updated & ran security essentials about 6 times when, which did not find anything, I then tried to install the defenders but could not install said I needed Silverlight installed so I tried to install it but who did not want to install so finally after more than a month of try me several times a day to give me a try. My fiancee and another roommate both said that it had to be a virus. And that one of them fix it since I couldn't.  Then they both tried for a week each so he can not constantly freeze as soon as it would boot up to the windows system screen system restore when I haven't tried had no restore points when I tried this return back.

And now, it freezes not as quick, but when they did a system restore it says now that I need to reactivate my copy of windows but now here's my new problem when the laptop was sent to a new hard drive that they also gave me a new external case but am not currently able to read my key product code at the top of the bottom of my laptop , And it came with a copy preinstalled and stupid, I didn't find the product key code when I bought the laptop from Best Buys. And they gave me a bundle of discs pack but their was not a code product key on anything.
