Help Windows 7 OEM

Hello people. So about 3 weeks ago, my motherboard is dead, so I decided to go and change the motherboard with CPU and RAM (because I was finally going to upgrade), I bought everything and when I was going to build the system, I noticed my windows 7 ULTIMATE is an OEM, then told me that I won't be able to use it. My last MOBO was a BioStar, and my new one is a MSI. People told me that only works OEM version for the MOBO that was originally installed with. I don't want to really money size on a new drive HARD and BONES, so if someone could PLEASE help me with this. Thanks, and yes I have my key if necessary.

AS SOON AS POSSIBLE PLEASE, I'M REALLY NERVOUS.

When it comes to activate, you will see the option to call Microsoft.  Rather than calling this number, call the number for Windows.  Find your way through the people of activation.  With luck, you can find a friendly Microsoftie, which will give you an activation key for time.

  • Re-Setup and activation of Windows 7 OEM on the same motherboard

    Hello

I did a clean on my SSD installation as a bunch of files in Windows 10 has been corrupted, and I couldn't do a clean reset, so I formatted my SSD. I have Windows 7 OEM, and knowing that it can be reused as long as the configuration of the computer has the same motherboard, I re-installed. However, the activation of Windows that I don't have a valid key, despite the same motherboard, etc. None of my hardware has been replaced. I tried to do the activation of the voice, but even that said my key was invalid.

Is someone able to explain to me why it doesn't work? I looked all over the internet for an answer, and where few have come closer, no have entirely been able to help me.

    Thanks in advance.

You can use the copy of Windows 7 to restore factory settings. To start the process, you press the F9 key at the beginning of the boot immediately after switching on the computer.

Before restoring factory settings, please check that you know the 25 character product key located on the COA sticker on the computer case. Don't post details key product here or in any other public forum. Please see the image below for an illustration showing a typical COA sticker.

Your operating system is corrupted. To eliminate the problems on your computer, you need to restore factory settings and rebuild your computer system.

A recovery of the system partition contains a copy of the operating system as it was when the computer was purchased new. Using the copy of Windows 7, you can restore the computer to factory settings. Of course you must back up your data files to an external before restoring support as the process reformats the disk thus clearing all existing files before writing new files.

When you have restored to factory settings you must configure an internet connection, install anti-virus software, update all drivers from the Asus site and install Windows all updates. Run Disk Cleanup and defragmentation of the intervals.

You should then be able to reinstall the programs. With this in mind, make a list programs must be installed and make sure you have the means to do so. Make sure you have the information necessary to recreate your internet connection on the new system. Make a list of what you need to do and the order in which you intend to do each task. This will help you greatly when you perform the operation. If you have a second computer available when you rebuild your computer system, it helps if you reach a problem and need to check online.

  • WINDOWS 7 OEM SLP

I'm quite confused.  I bought an acer aspire 6920 from a friend who no longer wants to make foreign because it is old.  He did not leave me anything else (recovery disk, etc.) than the computer itself. I check the system information all matches the model number.  The certificate of authenticity Microsoft is almost clear, but I think I got still the product key and the part number of the product.  On the sticker, the part number of the product is X 14-39682.  I did a search there continues to flow upward under Vista Home Premium.  I went to properties system and watch Professional Service Pack 1 of Windows 7.  The system compares the model and below, it shows that it is authentic with the product id.  I downloaded an app on the web and was able to get the CD key and the product key.  However, the part number of the product has not much the COA sticker.  It says X 15-37377.  I downloaded Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool and said that the operating system is genuine OEM SLP.  I called a seller of part of Acer and told me that I can buy a recovery but disk for Vista Home Premium.  If I do, and if the computer breaks down then I'll be back to Vista Operating System.  What is the alternative way to return to Windows 7 just in case I have to reinstall.  I have bought a Windows 7 professional (retail) for my office.  I use it to reinstall the Windows 7 OEM by using the CD key that I've recovered from the laptop?  Help, please.

You buy a genuine Windows 7 license. The copy of Windows 7 Professional, you have installed is an OEM SLP license that should only be preloaded with a new PC. You seem to have installed a copy of Windows 7 Professional that uses an activation exploit that bypasses the product activation.

The problem is that if what you have now is Windows 7 OEM SLP, then its an illegal license.

Thus, you must either charge your version of Windows that came on your computer (Vista or XP) or consider purchasing a license of Windows 7 genuine.

  • Uninstall and reinstall Windows 7 OEM on a Mac?

Recently, I bought Windows 7 OEM and wanted to know if you can uninstall windows 7 on Parallels on a MacBook Pro and reinstall on a new iMac and use the same product key?  Do you need to request a new product key?  I guess that's not once install, but only to be used with a computer at a time?

    LARgirl

Because this is a version of Windows 7 OEM and you transfer to another computer (in this case and iMac), you may experience complications.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are bound to the first computer you install and activate it on (in this case, your MacBook)

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

Is it possible to install my Windows 8 OEM only from my HP "Recovery Manager" without all the other stuff installed either HP "factory setting" software.

    Thank you.

    Jeff.

    Hello

No, the game of factory settings will install "Presets" on your machine. I saw no OEM version, but if you want you can try to download Windows 8 Microsoft then sit back, HOPE he accepts the key in the BIOS.

    Kind regards.

  • Regarding Windows 8 - OEM key built into the BIOS.

I have a pre installed Windows 8 HP Notebook (under warranty).

I get a new HP's HARD drive replacement.

My question is that if I install a Windows 8 Pro OS with a new activation code on Microsoft Store, then the original Windows 8 - OEM key integrated in the BIOS would get replaced by this new Windows 8 Pro activation key?

Or if the OEM of origin incorporated in the BIOS key will remain intact?

    Hello

The original key from Windows 8 will remain integrated in the bios.

    Kind regards

    Thanks for assstance.

Many hard drive manufacturers provide an application of free software to do this.  Visit the web site of the manufacturer of the new hard drive and maybe you'll find a.  For example, Western Digital offers their free Acronis True Image WD Edition software for use with their hard drives Western Digital. Seagate offers their free Seagate DiscWizard for use with Seagate hard drives.

  • Re-installing Windows XP (OEM - purchased version of njewspaper ad without mentioning it was OEM only) after the installation of the pirate Win Xp (full version). Can I retrieve pirate settings to not reinstall aps (have about 100). __

    Hello
I'm trying to reinstall Windows XP (OEM - purchased version advertises in newspapers not to mention it was OEM only) after the installation of the pirate Win Xp (full version). Can I retrieve pirate settings to not reinstall aps (have about 100).
(I guess I have to change registry to eventually replace OEM version with pirate version - it still would make it impossible to activate the automatic updates). Or I can just reinstall registry then replace edition OEM version? (Would still allow the applications to be installed without the re - install?) (A major pain).
