Help! windows 7 Windows media player: the album (with album art) icons are HUGE! How to make their small new
HELP! Im not sure how it happened, but today, by using windows media player, I think that I leaned on my keyboard, by chance and somehow my icons have grown from small (such as 4 cm wide) to huge (as 9 cm wide). I put it on the "icons" option and always have. I tried to find out if there was a zoom button or something that would cause this happens on my keyboard, but there is not, it's just a standard keyboard. Then I tried switching modes, for "tile" of fashion, but they are huge in this point of view too, only 3 albums are now through my screen, when there used to be 6. I prefer them smaller, because it won't take long to scroll down threw them, I sense a tun of the music. I looked in the settings and can't seem to find a way to change their return. Please let me know if you have a solution for me! Thank you guys!
HI Branika,
Apology for a delayed response.
You can try this procedure and check if it retains the size original album art information of the media file in Windows Media Player:
- Open the media file in Windows Media Player. Click on the file and then press F4. Now the album art will not be displayed.
- Press the F4 key from the keyboard. This will reset the size of the info from the album. This works very well for a specific file. You can also choose to support those who don't have the default size and use specific keys to reset.
If this does not help, we will proceed with several troubleshooting steps ahead.
We will restore the size of album art using the registry change and check if it helps. Check out the link and follow the suggestions that are marked as an answer:
Note: Please make sure that you back up the registry files before you start the troubleshooting steps listed above.
Let us know if the problem still persists.

In Windows Media Player 11, album art 'disappeared' the display of album content.
I've lost the ability to see a "covers" album when in the (what I call) 'track view information of content"(found by selecting library-> library-> music-> artist, then album).
("Follow the display of the information content" is the view which lets you modify the columns that display track info for example of note, length, type and many other "choose columns) In fact, under "Choose columns" the 'Album Art' box is grayed out.
So, how can I get that back? Maybe I've changed something, but I have no idea.
I'm running XP (SP3).
Thanks in advance.

Windows Media Player 11 album art is missing
Hi, this is a mystery, but suddenly and without reason obvious, almost half of my albums do not show all arts album no matter what view, I use. However, when I browse through the files in Windows Explorer, I see that images (Folder.jpg, AlbumArtSmall.jpg and so on) are still there. And even if I stick a new image in the album inside WMP no album art appears.
Thanks for any help!
I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:
-Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists. Tim Baets

Where Windows Media Player store album art?
I have many, many of the audio CD WMP shows the album art to album and several other points of view. I have another application, in that I try to get the work but the application will not find work rip CD or by using the function «find album art» I have a vague feeling that the other application does not search the work to what whether the 'head office' doesn't sell. ? ! In any case, if I could find where album art are kept in WMP, I could try to transfer it to the other application. I looked on some of the CD and cannot find any file or subdirectory. Similarly, I can't find any subdirectory under WMP where work could be stored.
Any help would be appreciated,
Turner
Copy the files in the top level of this folder in the same folder on new pc...
C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player
You can probably just copy the entire folder of Media Player above.

When you try to open an AVI file in Windows Media Player, the audio plays, but no picture. What is the problem and how can I solve this problem?
Your computer can correct the code for AVI video. Download and install K-lite code pack can solve the problem. K-lite code Pack is free and safe, and it includes almost every video code and audio code.

Windows Media Player cannot synchronize with the Sansa player. Sync button frozen
OT: Button of Windows media player is frozen
I have a sansa and I tried to synchronize new songs from Windows Media player but the sync button is frozen, it wont let me press the key.
Hello Natalie_Haaga,
1. were you able to synchronize this device with Media Player before?
2. is the player detected in Windows Explorer?
First check to see if the drive is detected on your computer. Try to copy the files of music from Windows Explorer.
Most MP3 players will appear as a "disk" on your computer, and you can browse the files on them by simply opening.
If you can do this, you should be able to copy / delete / move files between the MP3 player and the computer.
Also try to set media player to manually synchronize with Media Player. This article should help you with that:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/sync-manually-in-Windows-Media-Player
I also see that some users have been able to synchronize this by changing the settings of the player and set it to mass storage device.
I suggest you consult the manual on how to change this setting for mass storage device and to check if you have the same problem.
Thank you

Windows media player 'find album information '.
Earlier this week the 'Find album information' feature stop working. Display only the computers at home and at work
"Server Error" "500 internal server error." "There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed."
I have this problem on three computers that are running windows 7 and a Tablet under windows 8. This function works perfectly before this week. I thought it might be a problem with the server "fai.music.metaservices.microsoft.com", but after a week, the problem is still there.
Is this a problem with the end of Microsoft servers, or did a recent update screw up everything?
I can't even service that would allow me to manually enter album information.
VERY FRUSTRATING.
