Help! Windows Vista 32-bit thinks suddenly that my installation is not authentic!

My Dell Inspiron 1525 stop spontaneously today and when I again started Windows Vista 32 - bit OS said I had a non-genuine version and he asked me my product key.  I entered that and he rejected her.

Is there a solution to this?  I have the original Dell with Vista and the Product Code installation disc.

Concerning

Dave

Thank you Philippe.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.  Please forgive my ignorance :)

After that 3 attempts, Windows seems to have calmed down!  He didn't ask me the product key and gives me full access to everything.

Thanks for your guide.

  • Windows Vista 64-bit with readers that will not start after disabling all startup applications and registry changes

My Vista 64-bit system ran like a dream - until I tried to install Roxio Creator 2010.  When the installation failed and hung up, I stopped the installation with the Task Manager and rebooted the pc.  Following the instructions of blog users of Roxio, I did the following:

    1. selected disable all startup using MSCONFIG and restarted the pc applications.

2 download and run the Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp.

3 remove the partially installed Roxio files in the directory c:\Program Files x 86, then made an export of registry before editing the registry.

    4. under the leadership of the registry - deleted file folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Roxio and has attempted to delete the Wow6432Node folder from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder but encountered an error - didn't note it, unfortunately, but basically he said that he could not remove it when it has been changed, after waiting a while I tried to delete the folder Wow6432Node whe even once with the same answer, so I closed Regedit and restarted the pc.

The pc goes through the process of startup and hangs when it tries to start Windows Vista.

    5. I can't do a repair with the Vista disk - files are not present.

    Hello Ajay K.

Thank you very much for your detailed answer.

I got no error message.  I backed up the registry, but was not able to start the pc, so was not able to restore the registry.

I couldn't restore last good configuration known - the option was not yet present.

When I tried to restore the operating system, he asked drivers before it would proceed.

I have a floppy 1.44 with the raid drivers and after reloading of these drivers, I was able to reload Vista Ultimate.  Fortunately, all my data was recorded in a windows.old directory, and I'm back in business without losses.  Just had to reload all my software.  Do that...

I think that my problem was caused by disabling all startup applications in msconfig - which resulted in my hard not recognized disk array.  This seems likely.

You are awesome to provide an exceptional response.

    Hi Jon0909,

The error that you received can be for several reasons. I suggest you try the following steps:

Method 1: Run the fixit available in the link below and check if that makes a difference

Tips for solving problems of USB devices

Method 2: This normal matter as a result of a conflict between the USB and other USB (Universal Serial Bus) connected to the computer.

    (a) disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer to expect the mouse and keyboard, check if your USB key works.

    (b) If this solves the problem, and then add back both devices until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.

If the problem persists, you can contact the manufacturer of the device for any known issues

    Hello

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the network adapter.

To do this follow these steps:

    1. click on Start, in the Start Search bar type device manager and press enter.

    2. in the list of devices, right-click of the network adapter, and then click on uninstall, if she invites you to completely remove the driver files, click ok to delete.

3 restart the computer once the uninstall is complete.

    4. after the computer restarts, it will automatically detect and install the drivers.

    5. check if the problem is resolved.

  • Windows Server 2008 64-bit indicates that Windows Vista 64-bit

    Hello

I have my first Windows Server 2008 upwards and runs as a virtual machine, but when I install VMware Tools in the virtual machine guest OS password Windows Server 2008 64-bit for Windows Vista 64-bit in the guest in the VI Client operating system column.

If I check in the virtual machine properties dialog box of the operating system is always set correctly under Windows Server 2008 64-bit.

I'm running the virtual machine on ESX 3.5 Update 4 any ideas on why this is happening?

    Best regards

    Jonas

    Hi Jonas,.

As Troy mentioned, many of us have seen this "glitch"

I recommend you to try and return the Version in 'General options' for Vista 64 bit, apply, flip it to "Server 2008 64 bit", apply.

    and see if that helps,

If not, perhaps that the relocation of the VMware tools help?

Or maybe delete VM from the inventory, then add it back (do not remove the disc if...!).

  • Is it possible that I can put Windows Vista 64 bit OEM on eMachines W3644

    Original title:

    EMachines W3644

I have a question. Is it possible that I can put Windows Vista 64 bit OEM on eMachines W3644 since I have 2 1 GB of RAM for 64 - bit?

    Hello

You will need to check with eMachines to see if Vista 64-bit drivers are available for this model:

    http://www.eMachines.com/EC/en/us/content/drivers

And to use the 64 bit OS properly you should at least have 4GBs of RAM

  • Im trying to install the Nvidia drivers for my new video card and its saying that my operating system (windows vista 64-bit) is not compatible, which means they are 32-bit drivers, it's fake.

Im trying to install drivers for a Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 on my windows vista 64 bit computer. Every time I have try and start the download, it is said that my driver is not a 64-bit driver, which is false, and that my system is 64 bit, which is true. SO... after I click 'OK', it begins to download only to have another pop-up saying "Setup has detected that the system in use is not windows vista 64 bit" which it is. Basically its contradiction with himself. im confused.

    Im running windows vista 64-bit.

    I just upgraded to a Nvidia 9800GT, to a Nvidia GTX 260.

In frustration, I deleted all the old drivers, but the new will not download.

The first error says that the drivers are not 64-bit.

The second error indicates the operating system is not 64-bit.

Let the site nVidia Driver detect your video card. If it still does not work, contact nVidia for a solution... Mike Hall MVP - Windows Experience http://msmvps.com/blogs/mikehall/

Can we install windows vista 32 bit OS on a computer that is pre installed with windows 7 64-bit OS?

@ Ken... I tried installinng windows vista by using the recovery disk that will get a customer with the computer dell laptop... and then he was trying to install vista on my computer... It works fine when installing files, but it is and stucks where he says 'finish installation' and he won't do anything after that... I tried to restart my computer and I could see Microsoft coportation logo and then my computer stucks to this screen and wont connect in... not sure what exactly to do... by the ways for your reply thanks

You cannot use recovery discs to install with, if not for the exact model computer that you install.  You need a full installation detail of the model of Vista operating system you want to install since you don't downgrade your operating system to a system that offers no right of demotion.
  • Internet worked well until I have Reinstalled windows vista 64 bit, now my Internet does not work, says that I don't have a driver from the Internet.

Internet worked well until I reinstalled windows vista 64 bit on my Dell laptop, now my Internet does not work. Went into Device Manager and there is no network adapter. I tried to reinstall the driver that came with my laptop disk but it doesn't seem to work, says that I need an updated driver. I don't know what else to do, I have to install a new driver from the Internet? Ugh becomes very frustrated!

    http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=Gen

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

I have baught a new portable computer and you want to install windows vista (32-bit) on a bootable partition that it will be possible to do it with windows 7 (64-bit)

the laptop contained Home Basic windows 7 (64-bit) and I want to install windows vista Home premium (32 bit) on a bootable partition that it will be possible to do or tell me the parallel method to move a certain 32-bit operating system...

    Hello

If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64 bit version of Windows Vista, or vice versa, you will need to back up your files, then select custom during installation of Windows Vista. Next, you need to restore your files and reinstall your programs
