help with HP mini 210-1100

I got a HP Mini 210-1100, it came with Windows 7 starter.

I would like to format and install XP... Is it safe to do?
I'll be able to use all the functions of the netbook XP as well... (I was wondering cos the netbook CAME with the operating system by default.) ...

In addition, there is a score reader who reads HP tools, it includes records-'BIOS, BIOSUpdate, SystemDiags.
The disk is 100 MB with about 5 MB, occupied with the above...
Another drive partition bed RECOVERY 13.5 GB with 1.94 GB occupied.

Should I leave these alone during the installation of XP... or format as well...

Thank you.

Some of the Minis have XP drivers posted at HP_such as HERE only you can determine which specific model you have in the 210-1100 series by checking the serial number attached to the bottom.

With respect to the recovery partition, it is safe to delete all partitions before installing XP. Here link to ' How to install Windows XP from USB key. "if necessary.

  • HP Mini 210-1100: HP Mini 210 1100 - product Microsoft Windows 7 under "vanity cover" but where is this coverage?

Hi, I have a laptop of HP Mini old (circa 2010) 210-1100, he is real sweet and small.  Errors at startup, it looks like the drive disappeared.  I would find the product key of Windows 7 and see if I can find the ISO to restore on a new drive, maybe an SSD.  The bottom of the laptop says product key is in the compartment batteries or the cover of the vanity, is not in the battery compartment and I see nothing that matches this coverage "vanity", any ideas. ?

  • Problem with keyboard mini 210

Hi, I just installed a replacement fan/radiator and put everything back together, but now the keyboard does not work.  The button "mute" on the F11 key has a light that lights up again, but none of the keys respond.  FilterKeys is not turned on and I didn't do anything intentional which would effect the keyboard.  Any ideas?  The flat cables are that fragile?  Or do you think I've damaged the plug on the motherboard?

Okay, I found the problem.  There was a bend in the water, I thought was put there at HP.  so I do not pay attention to it.  Well, I took the band of support off the coast of the water and where the fold had the lines came with it.  So I think it was a bad installation or the ribbon cable was bent during installation and move a bit caused the lines to break.  Or... I am a fool and the ribbon cable folded when I put the keyboard when I first took apart to get the model number for the fan/radiator.  Anyway * beep * arrives and I blame noone but the ribbon cable.  OH and the reason why the LED on F11 came on... because the two lines that bring power were the only ones who still had continuity lol.  will understand xD

  • Reinstalled IDT audio driver now no sound on HP Mini Windows 7 210-1100

I was getting a sound of crackling periodically played audio throughout.  I checked the CPU performance and audio interference coincided with a spike in use (at 100%).   I reinstalled the IDT audio driver and restarted.   Now I have no sound.  The pilot explains how it works, but the taskbar icon shows no audio output device installed.

    Hi Ken,

I have to admit that I'm starting to think that this can be a hardware problem and it is very little left to try about the software options.

It is always possible, however, that the problem is due to a kind of corruption of the operating system, so that a final procedure, he is interesting to try to reinstall the OS ( make sure that you back up all your files etc first personal )-there are different methods to do as it is stated in the document at the link below However the "f11 method" may be the fastest.  The other advantage to try this now, what HP can suggest well try a reinstall of the operating system before proceeding with the repair option, so if you have already done this, it should speed things up.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01895783

If the reinstallation of the operating system does not correct the problem, it is most certainly a hardware problem which will need to be repaired under warranty.

You can always check your warranty status here.

If you need to contact HP and arrange for the laptop repaired under warranty, phone numbers found on the corresponding link below.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

Let me know how it goes.

  • Upgrade hp mini 210-1110eq RAM to 2 GB

    Hello..
I have a HP mini 210-1110eq with Windows 8.1 Pro (i bought the notebook with win7 starter). I have only 1 GB of RAM. I recently bought a KINGSTON 2 GB 1333 MHz RAM. I updated my BIOS for HP f24 (HP.com said this is the most recent). But when I put it in the 2 GB of RAM, the laptop does not work (I think the cooler works). Someone help me please. Thank you!

Here are recommended by Crucial memory:

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/HP-mini-210-1108tu/CT5626138

This model has caused support long thread here when he came out about the compatibility of memory. A lot of people had a lot of trouble to get 2 gigs to work right:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware/HP-mini-210-1100-1180nr-memory-upgrade-DDR3-nothing-works/TD-p/287913/page/4

Apparently, the memory density is a problem. This means that memory black blocks how are on the chip.  Read the entire thread. Crucial offers DDR3-1600 was 8 blocks of memory, not 16 and she is at work.

  • HP Mini 210-2070NR RAM upgrade

I bought a HP Mini 210-2070NR at Staples and wanted to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB.

Manual says that Windows 7 Starter only supports 1 G of RAM so I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium to try to support 2G of RAM.

Went to Crucial site, put in the computer model, classified in 2G of RAM DDR3 10600 S, installed and computer won't start with 2 G of RAM in it.

Deletion of 2G, inserted original 1 G to start the computer to the top.

I've updated the BIOS with the latest version on the HP website.

Someone can help me to find a solution to this, or is this netbook on only a function with 1 G of RAM?

    Thanks in advance

    Gaspasser

You can upgrade to 2 GB of memory, but at the moment, not all DDR3 memory is accepted by the new Intel N455 processor... You will need to order it from HP part Surfer... Here is the link for the same thing... http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=615863-001

There is another forum thread, where the user has been able to find particular memory sold by Crucial module which works with HP Mini 210... Here is the link for the same http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=C3C1FEA3A5CA7304

  • HP Mini 210 Ram?

I just bought a HP Mini 210-2070NR and I'm a little disappointed.  I was told you can 'poor upgrade' to 2 GB of ram, but the product specifications page says this * exact version has a maximum of 1 GB.

I wonder if that's actually true or what?  If I had 2 GB this machine would use all this?  Or should I just return the machine and follow another path?

    Thank you

    Kyle

  • Mini 210 help with upgrade options

    I have a mini 210-1142CL

Someone has updated the motherboard on this model and if so, is it really make a difference in performance.

Upgrade options are also somewhat confusing.

The mini works fine for me and before that pitch for a newer model, wanted to explore options of upgrade of it for at least a dual processor at the fastest speed it can handle.  Right now, it is running.  Have disk space enogh with 128 GB of free space, 1 GB of RAM.   Running a 1.66 GHZ N455 chip.

Not sure if a 1.5 GHZ dual chip will really make a substantial difference, or if it's time for new technologies.

    Thank you

    Stan

Atom processors were a dead-end. However, the N550 1.5 ghz dual was one of the best. A bit like the world above 'little person' but still a honor:

    http://cpuboss.com/CPUs/Intel-Atom-N550-vs-Intel-Atom-N455

Just to put it into perspective, here is a graph of the N550 vs some real processors.

    http://www.cpubenchmark.NET/CPU.php?CPU=Intel+Atom+N550+%40+1.50GHz

I saw the N550 motherboards for $45 on eBay. Performance is perhaps 30% better than the single core 1.66.

Your best upgrade is to install the 2 GB of RAM.

If you feel compelled by the whole thing of netbook, I'd get a new laptop. The technology comes from the netbook to be a reference in the calculation of the story. Good idea at the time. A good current smart phone probably has as much computing power.

How can I install windows xp in hp mini 210 1010NR... I tried to install windows xp service pack 3, but I could not, can someone help me please its urgent thank you...

You need to integrate the drivers Sata ( ICH7M/MDH SATA AHCI ) and burn a new cd XP with nLite.

Here is a guide showing how to integrate and here are the drivers Sata . 7-ZIP or Universal Extractor are good out of the installer.

  • HP mini 210-1032cl. I have a new hard drive with nothing on it. I don't know what to do.

Someone sold me a mini 210-1032cl without hard drive.  I bought a hard drive on ebay.  Where should I go from here.  I can't access anything on my hard drive with disk management.  I did some research and saw the formatting and partitioning of hard drive using disk management.  But how to do this with nothing on the disk?  Which is the best operating system I can buy which also has an Office suite (if there is such a thing)?  I'm trying to restore the mini without breaking the Bank.  I will soon go to College and I need to get my mini operational as soon as possible.  Apparently, this mini was Windows 7 Starter.  I tried the HP Support, but it is so confusing to me.  I don't know what I'm doing.  Thanks in advance for your help and your insight. Forgive my ignorance.

    Hello:

My recommendation is to click on the link below, and then click to expand the line of order recovery media, then click on the blue button more details and order the recovery disks that are going to install the operating system, software and drivers originally came with the laptop.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4062&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=4125470

BEFORE YOU ORDER DISKS... Two important points to note...

    1. you will need a USB DVD drive to use with the recovery discs.

    2. the hard disk that you purchased should be the same storage capacity or larger than the original drive came with the laptop.

The original specifications drive was 160 GB.

  • NetBook, HP Mini 210-3000ew vs Windows 8, NEED HELP

    Hello

I have a few questions. At first sorry for my English, I know it's horrible; D.

    1. I want to install windows on my Hp Mini 210-3000ew netbook 8. For an application on this OS, I need to have the screen resolution 1024 x 768, while my normal screen resolution is 1024 x 600 (recommended by the manufacturer). I can go to regedit and change the 'Display1_DownScalingSupported' value to 1, so I'll be able to adjust my screen resolution of 1024 x 768, but I don't know if this operation won't spoil/break my screen/matrix. What are the chances that my screen/matrix can break down as a result of this operation? Or maybe after a certain period of time to aid higher than the recommended resolution that I will get a few dead pixels or something like that? Is - this windows 8 after changing the present resolution be ok? And can I install it with screen resolution 1024 x 600 or Setup will be out of reach of the screen?

    2. I've been looking for the drivers for windows Web site 8 for Hp Mini 210-3000ew, but I only found drivers for windows 7. They are compatible with windows 8? Or I do not need to install any drivers for my netbook with windows in all 8?

I am happy for any help. Thanks to advice.

As far as I know, Windows 7 Starter is an OEM product only and the only source is from the supplier. Microsoft doesn't have a link to download the image.

That is right. The requires iTunes 12.3.3 and in order to get it, you will need to update OS X to El Capitan. That's how Apple has created for better or worse, I'm sorry.

  • Faced with the installation of XP SP3 and XP SP2 on HP mini 210

    Hello

I followed the steps on my computer, HP mini 210, which was completely unusable:

    (1) Mini Partition Master tool used to boot the system.

    (2) remove all partitions, including HP recovery and everything.

    (3) create a new primary partition NTFS and label c.

    (4) restart the system with the bootable XP SP3 or SP2 CD.

    (5) Windows copies all the files and go to "Start Windows"

((6) I select one) to install a new Windows XP

After that XP is not able to identify the partition on the hard drive. It says no hard drive detected or something it starts and asks to press F3 to exit.

I tried to enter F9 at startup, and it does not show the hard disk; I mean that the HARD disk is not damaged or corrupted.

Can you get it someone please let me know what to do?

    Hello:

You must integrate the NM10 chipset Sata driver controller that I zipped and attached below, then XP installs fine.

Info on how to integrate the driver, please read the guide at the link below, read the Intel section, and read the document that is "slipstreaming" all drivers from Intel.
