Hello
Apple is expected to support their own programs.
You have a problem with their iTunes upgrade.
Did you download and save iTunes on the desktop > then right-click > select run as administrator to install?

Need help with iTunes duplicate Applescript.
Hello
I found this script that works great with iTunes automatically duplicates deleting. Something that I had wanted for a long time.
I use Lion with the older version of ITunes, so I really need this script to work.
It is an import script that helps me sync my music library to my home office with my nightclub iTunes library. The only problem I have with this script is that it does not keep this last recorded double track. I want to keep the last tracks because sometimes I replace a track with a better record of video or audio clip. I would like to change this script to just base duplicates on the artist, Album artist, and name. I hope that someone with apple great capabilities of script can check the script and help me adjust. I tried to contact Randolf who created the script, but he did not. Here is his magnificent scenario. I'm sure that many people will find this useful. I hope someone can help me. I am very limited in my applescripting.

Remove the Script duplicates ITunes
(*
This small script detects and removes duplicates in your iTunes library. Two tracks are considered duplicates if they share the same name of the track, the artist and the title of the album. If these 3 fields are the same, all the tracks except for one can be deleted. In addition, the game account and group entries are "merged."
You can also use the account manager to remove duplicates in any other selection as the main library.
You can enable or disable the registry deleted. Logging goes to the "logFile.txt" in your home folder.

Help with iTunes iOS 10.0.1 on 32-bit computer
I have an iPhone with iOS 9.3.5 5s. I am running iTunes 12.1.3 on a PC with Windows XP. Just checked on updates software for the phone and iTunes and told him (iTunes) that iOS 10.0.1 requires iTunes 12.1.2. Note the version numbers. I'm not used to damage in versions of software, so contacted Apple support and told not to download iOS 10 on my phone and try to synchronize this would create potential problems.
A year ago, Apple introduced the iTunes version that I use (12.1.3) allowing users to sync iPhones (and other devices) iOS 9, running on computers running Windows XP. Y at - he no knowledge on the issue of whether Apple will provide a 'patched up' similar version iTunes to help those of us with dinosaur computers to synchronize phones with iOS 10.0.1 for iTunes? I realize that iOS 10 is just to get out now and Apple has had some problems with it, so my questions are no where near the top of their list. I have a problem that needs a solution. AND buy the upgrade of operating systems on a computer that works also very well is not a good solution for me.

Are you sure of that last number? My understanding is that iTunes 12.5.1 is required to install iOS 10, although my iPhone updated 6 + has been seen by iTunes 12.4.3. If you use iTunes on Windows XP 12.1.3 do not upgrade to iOS 10. It might work, but there is no return path if it is not, and I don't think that it will be able to restore the device if the need arises later.

Help with iTunes Deleted titles
When you attempt to delete a playlist, I managed to delete 16 000 songs in my iTunes library. All these tracks are now sitting in my garbage can so I was hoping I might be able to re-add-the as quickly and easily as I had managed to remove them. This doesn't seem to be possible. I can't drag the songs into iTunes. I tried with one, three, and even all the tracks at once and it just doesn't work.
I can't restore the iTunes music or anywhere else that I'm not a Subscriber so my only hope is to get them to take out the trash and in iTunes. I tried to copy all tracks in a folder on my desktop, but this does not work either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If I can restore iphone and data sync with iTunes to help uncertified lightning cable?
Hello guys and girls... I was just curious to know if it is ok if I sync data and restore ios using non certified lightning cable which means I have a Chinese... itunes restores the iphone to ios 9.3.1 perfectly and allows you to synchronize all the music and videos files without saying errors... but is it ok for my iphone? It could damage my iphone or will I get ios works in my camera? My iphone gets too hot during loading and the use of the wifi too... sometimes average 2 times he said cable not taken in charge, but during the restoration and synchronization please help me... im confused... tq for playback
Hi, I would not recommend using no real cables on Apple devices because they can cause problems. You get also the question of the products not authorized to appear on the screen which can be very annoying and it is because he has not got the necessary cable chip that its not true. The original cable is a little more expensive than the no real but its worth the investment that you don't buy new cables every few weeks. It will work with ITunes and transfer of data, but I wouldn't mind keen charging my iPhone/iPad with a as it is possible that they may cause damage. It's just not worth the risk.

Asslam o aliakum. I have a problem with itunes 12.3.2 it is not downloaded the 10 windows and when I connect m iphone with itunes and want to update to 9.2 says please download itunes new version for ios 9.2... help me with this... How to solve this problem.
Greetings Dani56777,
Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!
I understand that you run Windows 10 and you must update iTunes to the latest version so that your iPhone will be recognized when connected. I do not know if you receive an error when you try to update iTunes or not.
If you need information on how to update iTunes, please follow the instructions in the following link.
Download the latest version of iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
If you receive an error or alert, you can consider removing iTunes and all of its associated components and then reinstalling fresh iTunes on your computer. That would give you the latest version of iTunes. If you need execute this process, please follow the steps described in the following article.
Remove iTunes Control Panel and its associated components
Use the control panel to uninstall iTunes and software components in the following order:
- iTunes
- Apple Software Update
- Apple Mobile Device Support
- Hello
- Apple Application Support 32-bit
- Apple Application Support 64-bit
On some systems, iTunes can install two versions of the Apple Application Support. What is expected. If both are present, do not forget to uninstall both versions.
Do these elements in a different order, uninstall or uninstall only some of them. This could have unintended effects. After you uninstall a component, you may be asked to restart your computer. Wait to restart your computer until you finish remove all components.
Remove and reinstall iTunes and software for Windows 7 and later versions - Apple Support components
Have a great day!

All the sudden, iTunes has stopped responding. I click top and nothing. I spent over an hour with a Senior Engineer at Apple's Support, which does not give me a ticket number so now Apple can't even find the person I talked to. This person had to remember and it's been 2 weeks. I called Apple back Support and since they can't find a ticket number they told me that I have to wait until this person reminds me. This engineer had me remove and reinstall iTunes with all the other components that go with it, I run it as administrator, pretty much did all the troubleshooting I had done on my own. I have now to sit and wait, hoping that this senior engineer at Apple called me back. It's poor and poor support for iTunes. If anyone has any advice, please share.
Thank you
These can be things that you've already tried. Despite this, it might be interesting to try again. As another poster has said recently, though for another problem, "20th try was the charm.
For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.
Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.
More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.
Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

IOS 10 is compatible with iTunes 12.2.2?
My MacBook is old, and the last Mac OS can I run 10.7, which means that the last version of iTunes that I can run is 12.2.2. This allows to work with my iPad without problem from the Air, but never worked with my iPhone IS initially provided with iOS 9.
The iPad don't often synchronize with my MacBook as it backs up from iCloud, but I wanted to put a few audio tracks on it. I tried today and it does not work. I get an error message "iTunes could not connect to the iPad" * iPad "because an invalid response was received from the device."
I get the same messages with my iPhone SE. My guess now is the iOS 10 did update my MacBook even more obsolete by not being able to sync with my iPad. I searched around and can't find any configuration required for iTunes for iOS 10, so I'm not 100% it is the case.
Is there any solution for this? Or is my correct guess, that iOS 10 is not compatible with iTunes 12.2.2?
In addition, if it is not compatible, if someone has a solution of how to get music from my MacBook on my iPad (I noticed Amazon Music allows me to download tracks and then download them on my iPad, but with a limit) then I would appreciate if you could share!
Thank you
I'm afraid you're right. IOS10 requires iTuses 12.5
As workaround solutions, I'm sorry, I don't have. I'm not a mac I have sync music on.
But maybe someone else can help you

Problem with iPhone and iPad ios10 connect with iTunes version 12.2.2
Yesterday, I upgraded my iPhone and iPad to ios10 successfully. However, when I try to connect to my Macbook OSX version 10.7.5 running with iTunes version 12.2.2.25 it gave me this error "iTunes could not connect to the iPad because an invalid response was received from the device." I got the same error when I connect my iPhone as well.
Now I can't restore my iPad or iPhone in low-grade IOS because iTunes can not see my devices.
Someone at - it this experience after upgrade to ios10?
Hi Had3s,
I understand that after updating to iOS 10, your MacBook is more recognized in iTunes. I know it's important to be able to sync your iPhone with iTunes, so I'm happy to help you.
Read this article that covers some common troubleshooting for this issue:
If iTunes does not recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod - Apple SupportNote that the likely cause here is an older version of iTunes. Since iOS 10 is still new, it is important to have the latest version of iTunes installed. Currently, it is 12.5.1, that requires OS X 10.9.5 or later version must be installed:
iTunes - download iTunes - AppleSince you currently have OS X installed 10.7.5, you'll want to update to OS X as well. You can see more info on how to upgrade to the latest version of Mac OS X here:

Got 51 Msg error when update with iTunes
Save my iPhone 6 s - more using iTunes, said notification wanted to v.10 iOS update. Got msg, it can not "up-to-date" phone, clicked to 'restore', can do either. A unknown error 51. Deleted my Norton Antivirus, makes computer restart, rebooted the iPhone, now stuck on the "connect to iTunes" screen Can't do anything with my phone. What can I do?
Error 51 is not an standard error for updates or restores. You must have Windows 7 or above for the latest version of iTunes. What version of iTunes are you using? The latest version is 12.5.1. Go to help > about iTunes and see what is reported. If you need to update, you can try on the Help menu, or you can go to the iTunes download page. http://www.Apple.com/iTunes/download

Audio cd extraction problem with iTunes 12.5.1
Using the latest version of El Capitan 10.11.6, end 2012 iMac i7 processor.
Installed iTunes 12.5.1.21 the other day and now bad rip the CD itself. I tear like Apple Lossless with correction of error checked and have never had any problems before. Some I just new Herb Alpert CDs in the mail and each of them seemed to rip OK, but two starting to jump on other securities when read.
For example, torn "Summertime" and the two-lane 1 jump during playback. I tried playback on the same ripped files with VLC, and they ignored in the same places, so it must be a file problem not just reading. Then I tried to play the CD with iTunes and without tearing, and it plays very well. Yet once torn and same problem. Had to extract a few tracks on "Volume 2" several times and they finally played OK. "" I think with error correction that this could not happen. Glance CD clean. In the past I had trouble with ripping a CD and still found a crack in the plastic and iTunes would not rip in this case.
All the old files ripped off until I upgraded 12.5.1 plays perfectly just like always.
Any suggestions? At the moment, hoping that this is a problem of system and the Sierra with Take Care of it.
Me again with further troubleshooting. You wonder now if it's a hardware problem. With the help of a 4 year old Superdrive Apple USB. Tried to rip to my MacBook Air with the same drive, but using iTunes 12.4 and had still tracks will jump on playback. Put the CD into the stereo of my wife, and she played it perfectly.
Confuses me because I thought (with correction of error during the rip) that if there is an error with the player, he would refuse to rip at all or to freeze. I agree that iTunes did freeze twice during a tear in the disc, but after having tried seemed to work OK.
Should I be looking for a new drive?

iPhone App-Sync with iTunes problem
Today, I downloaded a new iPhone App in
iTunes [12.4.3.1]
on a Macbook Pro [10.11.6]
who has several granted previously iPhone Apps, all updated and everything already works on my iPhone 5 [9.3.5] (Firmware 10.01.00).
Recently, via USB, attempts to sync-ing my iPhone work, however, the iPhone settings / window Apps in iTunes is completely gray, including "checked for the installation of new applications" just below the list of applications.
Download of news today is sitting there in the list with its play button "install", and with everything else, is not interactive. "
After reading a full restore of the iPhone has worked for others, I restored the iPhone with iTunes by selecting the option traded using my "iPhone name.
Now, all applications are absent from the iPhone and is not able to be loaded as they all remain still grayed out in iTunes under the iPhone settings / (summary, Apps, music / etc).
However, as it was previously, I'm still able to select manually in the music , the books and pictures, etc., and have such precisely Sync-ed with the iPhone currently.
How an update iTunes and OSX are incompatible for Sync-ing updated iPhone apps to iPhone updated via USB?
Help, please. Thank you.
The first thing that comes to mind is a problem to Apple ID.
Did you use the same Apple ID to purchase each of your applications, books and music?

Hello, I recently bought a Macbook from a friend and since I got the Mac it's very very slow at doing things like browsing the internet using Safari, it takes forever to load, web pages and all sorts of things that I'd like to get help with this problem maybe a few recommendations and also on how to speed up... If you need to care about Macbook, I can give these thx.
To sell or transfer ownership of a Mac, even to a member of your family, you must follow these instructions. So far, you will have continuous problems.
Refer to what to do before you sell or give away your Mac
- If you have enabled FileVault, disable it in system preferences > Security and privacy.
- "Remove" your iTunes account. Ditto for Audible if you have one.
- System Preferences > iCloud > deselect 'Back to My Mac' and 'find my Mac '.
- Disconnect from iCloud. Select "Delete from Mac" when it appears.
Next: delete all of your personal information by erasing the internal storage of the Mac completely.
- If your Mac comes with a grey system installation DVD, start up your Mac with this disc in the optical drive, all holding the key c to boot from it instead of its internal volume, which must be erased before selling.
- Apple stopped Macs shipment requiring these discs in August 2011.
- If your Mac does not comes with disks, boot OS X Internet Recovery:
- using three fingers press on and hold the following keys: ⌘(command), optionand R.
- With a fourth finger, press the power button to turn on the Mac.
- Keep the other three fingers here where they are until you see the icon "spinning globe.
- This method force the Mac to download BONES initially installed from Apple servers, that won't require not an Apple ID install.
- Remove any password Open Firmware, if you created a: select utility password firmware in the Utilities menu and remove.
- Select disk utility from the utilities menu.
- Delete all partitions that can be created.
- Select the icon for the hard drive to the Mac, and then select the tab "delete".
- Click on the 'Security Options' button and erase the drive.
- More "robustly" you erase the disc, the longer it will.
- The fastest method is sufficient, since all but the techniques more expensive and equipment will be able to recover data deleted safely.
- When he finishes, quit disk utility.
- In the utility menu, select Install Mac OS X .
- An identifier Apple won't be necessary. If a prompt for an Apple ID, return to step 5.
- Do not create user accounts.
- When he finishes, shut down the computer.
- If you want to install the bundled apps that have been included with your Mac, restart using your DVD Applications if it was included and install the bundled apps.
- Apps, delivered with the new Macs sold without disks cannot be transferred. His new owner must buy them from the Mac App Store with its own Apple ID.
If the Mac is sold to someone outside the family, consider the following additional information:
- System provided with your Mac installation DVD must stay with him forever and be included in the sale.
- Consider including your AppleCare certificate if you bought it, documents printed, same box if you have.
- AppleCare remains with the equipment and can be transferred.
- Run an invoice indicating the serial number of the Mac.
- Once is no longer in your possession, remove the Mac of your devices in my support profile.
