Help with M6348 connecting to a Cisco network

Hello

Can someone help me with best practices by putting R710 via a M6348 stacked with a cisco network.

Our configuration is the following

M1000e

2 x 1 GB pass-through fabric a

2 x M6348 wired in a pile in the B fabric

6 x popular R710 with four NIC ports in the fabric B (3 are general purpose servers, 3 are Hyper-V servers in a cluster)

Cisco network

For most of the Cisco 3560 switches

20 VLAN (1 per building) configured, mainly for the isolation of traffic (VLAN 300-320)

What (I think) that we want to

The M6348 connect to the core network in a SHIFT (4 x 1 GB ports. Can it be divided 2 ports each of the stacked M6348?)

Have a mapping of right for 1-3 to VLAN 301 R710

Configure R710 4-6 for access to all VLANS for the Hyper-V hosts can be placed on the VLAN correct

Use the fabric for the connection to the San

Network management is carried out by a third party (we are unable to change this) and they claim that they are unable to connect Cisco/Dell!

We are server guys, guys network no, so something stupid (especially for Cisco to give to our management company) would be appreciated.

We tried to configure the switches in Simple mode, using a Dell deployment guide, but all we seem to get is the default VLAN to all ports on the switch 1 battery, but no other VLAN and no active port 2 in the stack.

I've probably missed lost info on and were not very clear, so if more info is needed, please get back to me.

Thanks in advance for the help

Rich

Thanks for the information updated, actually, this confirms that the problem is with the connection to the Cisco switch. Is that what we tried a general link, instead of trunk?

mode console # switchport general

Console # switchport General allowed vlan add 300-320 tag

Console # pvid General switchport 301

Console # end

Are we sure that the VLAN 301 IP address is 10.49.56.0? This doesn't seem fair.

When we try to pings on the trunk/General connection to the Cisco switch, make sure you that the servers have the default gateway defined on the VLAN IP address they are in access mode. Thus, when in the access mode VLAN 301 the gateway server would need to be 10.49.56.0. I would like to verify that the IP address, however.

  • Help with E3000N connected with WAP610N and WET610N

    I have a 3000 router and a WAP610N with a WET610N.

    1. the router and AP have a different SSID?  I currently have to connect to another to get from one place to another in my house.

    2. where it has been implemented tech put the access point 2.4 GHz with range of 5 GHz in gray.  This means that the device only works with 2.4 GHz?  I thought it was a double feature of ban.  Greyed out in parahrase info information I see the button on the device and not my network password as indicated in the information of 2.4 GHz.

    3. I can not connect with my ipad on the second connection unless I use a static IP address.  The ipad does not always reminds the static configuration as well so that I have to get all this information to connect to the internet via the access point.  She shows a strong Wifi with excellent resistance but does not connect.  I noticed that he chooses an IP address that begins with 169 instead of 192 in DHCP mode.  Also, it doesn't have the address for the router, just an empty line.  I have no problems connecting to the original installation of Wifi (the one with the router).  The initial problem was the range of the E3000N.  My House is only 32 feet wide and I get a signal rooms low only 2 in the linear sense.  I tried to improve it with the WAP610N and the WET610N.  Both were suggested by technical support.  The firmware is already reflashed and changed settings on several occasions by technical support.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you, Louise

Thank you for your suggestions, but this has not worked for me.

As soon as I changed the name of the AP for the name of the router, I had conflicts.

I have been unable to solve it myself as I could no longer access the configuration page for the access point or bridge.

After 2 hours with a very patient man, I am now able to use my system again.  He had to reset the two devices and the re - set.

It seems to work as expected for the moment.  I don't have to use the static IP settings in my I - Pad.

Thanks again for your contribution.  I appreciate the responses.

  • Need help with internet connection

Hi I'm new to this forum, I need help. Recently I reformat my hard drive and also to recharge my windows XP OS. However, it cannot be connected to the internet. I have check and found that there is no connection of the network adapter on my laptop. I ask MS to help over the phone and was told to download the IE7 to try as I did, but my internet connection still does not work.  My router works like my other laptop is able to connect to the internet. Thank you for your help. Kind regards.

    Hello

1 have had modifications made to your computer before the problem occurred?

    2. is it a laptop or desktop?

    3. who is the manufacturer of the computer, and what is the model number of your computer?

    4. have you installed the latest network drivers on your computer?

    5. what security program is installed on your computer (Antivirus and firewall)?

As there is no network adapter installed on your computer, I suggest to first download and install the drivers for the network adapters on your computer manufacturer Web site and check to see if that fixes the problem on your computer.

  • HP Deskjet 2540: help! Cannot connect to the home network wireless HP 2540.

So, I'm trying to connect my new wireless printer to my home network.  Yay!  I move into the 21st century!   Not so fast, Buster!

    Here's the run down:

I ran the installation CD, connected to a USB port when told to find my SSID, entered my password, he did his thing and then he said that I had the wrong password.  Perhaps. Ok.  Tried again with the same results.    Connected on the router (gateway of Technicolor), checked the password.  Nope, it did ' t change.  Tried again, and this time, I hit the button troubleshooting when he told me that I had the wrong password.

I followed the guide that he d/l would be after the presentation of the error report.  Run the test of wireless network from the buttons on the printer and it says "the WPA security password configured on your HP printer is not your wireless router setting."  I assure you, expensive printer, I have not.

Jumped on the router page configuration when you are prompted by the guide troubleshooting and ensured that MAC filtering has been set to 'allow all' which, according to the manual of the router assures me, will allow all devices to connect.  Made sure that the 2 GHz range was alive and Kickin ' and that DHCP is enabled in the IPv4 & 6 tabs.  I even reset the router as the troubleshooting guide said.  Ran the test report yet, not logged in.  It is then the troubleshooting guide abandoned and directed me here.

But then I noticed in the manual of the printer there is a WPS function available!  WPS!  It's must be!   Pressed the button wireless to the printer for 5 seconds to put in WPS mode, press the button on the router... not good.  I noticed that on top of one of the many reports of tests wireless network there is a WPS PIN which was good for 5 minutes.  Got a new a new wireless network test report, went into the router WPS customer PIN login page, entered it... no good.  I tried again with the page, open and ready to go, just in case I took longer than 5 minutes.  Still not good.

So I thought I would at least give the option 'WiFiDirect' to try printing.  I printed the page "Use printer wireless without a router" by pressing the direct wireless for about 5 seconds, found the printer in the WiFI networks and entered the password to 8 digits when he asked for the WPA key.  I don't remember if he said it was the wrong key or what, but now it just says: unable to connect to the network.

All the test reports diagnostic results show the wireless on and functional.  Connectivity has not been executed, the SSID was found with no other network corresponding to my network name, with 12 other networks detected.  The settings part was not run and Security (in bold and in italics as in the report) down (in the report) since, I guess, he thinks that I have the wrong password.  Who, once more, I assure you that I am not.

So my question is basically this: now what?

Well, I told you a hundred times... Gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   My suggestion is for connect you to put this bridge in full bridge mode device and buy a router of high quality that you have full control over and you.   I gave everything but peripheral gateway troubleshooting.

First of all, I work in 8i.

My problem is, I get the error ORA-01437 message: cannot have join with CONNECT BY.
And the reason why I get this error because one of the criteria that I use to cut a few branches with is in another table... Is anyway to circumvent this? I tried a view online (but got the same error). I thought to use the connection by query views online and filtering off the coast of what I don't want in this way, but I don't know how to filter an entire branch...

    Simplified data examples:

    Hello

    Difficult problem!

Sorry for the false leads I posted last night.
In Oracle 8.1, you can CONNECT BY first of all, in a view online and then to join her, but you can't do the reverse.
We can change the 3 query to get the desired results by replacing the external CONNECTION BY a series of analytical functions to locate all ancestors and finally SELECT a line only if all the ancestors had part_type = am'.

It's not pretty, but it works:

    SELECT component, parent, qty_per
    --, r_num, lvl
    --, SUM (ancestor_ok)
    FROM ( -- Begin in-line view to calculate ancestor_ok
           SELECT m.*
           , CASE
                      WHEN c_num < lvl
                          THEN LAG ( part_ok
                                      , r_num - NVL ( a_pos

This works for your sample data and some variations I've tried, including the case where a component has many parents. Sorry, I could not test it very carefully. Try it on some of your actual data, and let me know if there are problems.

I'll try to post a more detailed explanation later.
Basically, it works by capturing the results CONNECT BY in subquery h. Each line is identified solely by r_num, giving its place in CONNECT BY results.
In the subquery m, where most of the work takes place, it calculates the a_pos, the r_num of the ancestor of a node at a given level. That value is used in the LAG later function to see if the ancestor was part_type = am' or not. Only the lines where all the ancestors had part_type = am' are included in the final result set.

I did have the time to read the messages you and Dev published today. I'll try to do this and get back to you.

Once more remind the people responsible that the Oracle 8.1 was replaced 9 years ago. Whatever they save by not upgrading is offset by what you have to write and maintain much more complicated code, which in turn runs much, much slower than something on a more recent database.
The following works in Oracle 10 and I think it would work in Oracle 9, too:

    SELECT b.component, b.parent, b.qty_per
    FROM bom_test b
    JOIN part_test p ON b.component = p.part_nbr
    START WITH b.parent = 'ABC-1'
    CONNECT BY b.parent = PRIOR b.component
         AND PRIOR p.part_type = 'M'
    ;

It's 7 lines of code instead of about 65 years it takes to do the same in Oracle 8.1.

  • Problem with the connection to the public network.

My laptop Pro windows 7 has suddenly changed its public network settings.

I wish I could right click on the network and change at work without having to go through all the settings again.

I seem to remember that you can change some settings to achieve this, but I do not remember where to change them.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Mark

Well, then please try this FixIt (and/or read how yow can change the settings on a clean year): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2578723

  • Need help with the error of connection Internet "Reset local connection adapter".

Original title: Need help with Internet connection.

Hi, sometimes when I go to my office (HP 2009 m) I get a message that I am not connected to the internet (although I have no problem with the connection on my IPad).  When I click on solve internet connection Windows Network Diagnostics freezes when it gets to solve problems "the local connection adapter reset."   I have to turn off my computer by unplugging and then it works normally when she returns to the top. (Sorry if my explanation is difficult to decipher, I'm not very tech savvy) This could be the cause and how to fix it?  Thanks in advance.

Well, I expected more of a response, but I'll wing it from here: your cable goes into a modem.  This modem can be a wireless modem/router, or simply a modem cable to your computer.

Connection problem you might start by connecting the cable into the modem.  Ensure that it is well defined.  If everything looks good, then it is possible that there is a decline in cable service before he gets to the modem.  For example, the interface side of the House can be affected by a bad connection, for example water intrusion, or poor soil.  So you may want to check into that.  Then, there is always the possibility that your cable provider has lost his momentaily of transmission, and that the modem needs to be reset.  If this happens often, you must contact the cable provider.

Modem, your computer can be connected by cable, so you will need to check how firmly the connection is.  Then, there is always the possibility that the modem is wrong.

But if your connection is through a wireless modem/router, your connection may have lost because of a bad signal.  Once more..., the modem/router could go wrong.

    Edit has added:

Looking back on what you said about the Ipad, I feel that you have a wireless modem/router.  It is possible that your connection to the desktop must be after you have used the Ipad.  For example, you may need to right-click on the monitor icon in the Systray to your desktop and open your network sharing Center.  Even if you can say that you are connected to the Internet, you may not.  Then... just ... simplement cliquer click on 'connect or disconnect', then find your network connection appropriate, right click on that and select disconnect, then immediately right-click the same but select Connect.

Will be a new connection to the Internet.

  • Suggestion for connecting NetGear switch for network home

    Hi all

Recently, I bought NetGear ProSafe 8 - Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch GS108E. I would like to ask your help/suggestions to connect to my home network. The other components I have is Motorala SurfBoard SB6121 Cabel Modem and Cisco Valet M10 Wireless router.

I have a Comcast Blast Plus service and if I check my internet speed by connecting my laptop directly to the cable modem, I get 50 Mbit/s Download and Upload of 11 Mbps. If I connect my laptop to the ethernet port of the router the speed I get is 25 Mbps download and still 11 Mbit/s upload. 50% reduction the internet download speed. So I decide to buy a NetGear Switch so that I can run all my connection cable of the switch and wait for the speed of download of 50 Mbps and 11 Mbps Upload.

I made the connection like cable Modem--> Switch NetGear--> wireless router. In this configuration no my devices are able to connect to internet and I get message unidentified network. I tried to troubleshoot using the Windows Connection Manager, but he just asks me to turn off and on again. I tried this several times, but was not able to solve the problem.

I want to return to the NetGear Switch mannual and made connections like shows in the quick installation guide. Cable modem-->--> Switch NetGear wireless router. In this configuration, all my devices are able to connect to internet but I get the speed of 25 Mbps download and 11 Mbps upload, identical to what I was getting into when running connection wireless router wired thorugh.

So, essentially, NetGear switch does nothing for me except give me a few more ports to run the wired connections.

It would be a great help if someone can guide me in the resolveing of my problem.

    Kind regards
    Shekhar

He had bought a new router in the first place. Your router is the problem. Check on their website for a solution.

  • Re: Satellite Pro A40 - connection to the local network

    Hello

My names Andy and not bieng a total beginner computer, I tried to install all the drivers for my laptop model a SPA40 old fathers PSA45E-001VM-EN. (European model I think) everything looks ok, except that I can't get the ETHERNET driver.

When I go into the Device Manager there is NO controller network displayed in the list and there is a yellow exclamation mark against two controllers ethernet ib the OTHER DEVICES tab looking here, I downloaded the atheros wlan xp file - 7704062.zip, broadcom wlan xp - installed 5604835.ziplan20070912134727.zip and nothing changes, we used to be able to go on the net and with the wifi card in the pci slot wireless go so I know its capable I think it's just the order of drivers and the drivers themselves,

Then someone can point me in the right direction before as I have send myself crazy with this...

    You can

    regards and thanks in advance

    Andy

    Hey,.

The drivers that you downloaded are WLAN Card and has nothing to do with the connection to the local network (Ethernet) normal

I think you should check the Web from Toshiba site to download the latest LAN driver. You can find the drivers for Satellite Pro A40 in * archives *.

I did not want to do this (restore point). However, I found a solution. It comes: http://forums.techguy.org/networking/1029348-network-connection-status-media-disconnected.html

Where there are two crucial steps (do not know if the two were needed) RUN command (1) netsh int ip reset reset.log and (2) netsh winsock reset catalog

After a restart, hey presto my wireless connection was repaired. This seems useful, but not essential (shows wireless performance but not the solution): http://wpc.475a.edgecastcdn.net/0047...etup.1.2.0.exe which is run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector
