I tried to just boot from the cd and install xp and it tells me that the version on the computer is newer than the one I am trying to install and then gives me no option besides.   ·         What is the type of disc you are having? It's a drive to upgrade or full version?

  ·         How many partitions are present on the computer?

  ·         Why would you downgrade from Windows Vista to Windows XP?

  You need demarrer start from the installation disc, choose the partition where Windows is installed (ideally the C drive). Format it and then go to the Windows XP installation.
