Help with vista configuration update 3 of 3 Please do notturn your machine off

Please help my pc went into the update and was stuck in this now for about 8 housr. Have tried twice to restart in safe mode, but it still shows the same.

I have no idea what to do and I'm afraid I'm not very technical so if anyone has any ideas please run by me in a very simple way.

    Restart your computer.  Press the F9 key immediately when the logo ASUS appears.  This will start the recovery procedure, including the installation of all the drivers and utilities.  Follow the instructions.  Your computer will be restored to factory settings.

    Update watch "Configuration updated step 3 3 99% complete" then it stops. After the reboot, it shows "Configuration updated step 3 3 99% complete" then again. Tried pass mode without failure, update configuration begins again.

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

     

    Restore point:

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • OS Vista - configuring updates: stage 3 of 3-0% complete. Do not turn off your computer.

    My laptop ACER Aspire 5610 in a loop of update configuration for three days now.  Don't have a Vista installation CD as provider did the installation.  Have tried all the safe mode restarts without success.  The display is still in phase 3 of 3 endless loop.  Ideas to fix/repair or recover data from disk hard 160 GB I need to keep?

    I want to thank everyone for friendly advice and assistance information.  After a few days (of frustration for me) and your continuous encouragement, I have finally overcome this "infinite loop".

    What worked for me was downloading neosmart.net for work properly CD/DVD burner.  I tried initially using my office old CD drive, but I forgot that it was a device to read-only and wouldn't be able to burn a copy of the restore CD.  I found a DVD burner work to correctly copy download neosmart.net.

    It took several boots cold on the laptop with the recovery CD as well as access 'shift F6', then quickly by "any key" for the necessary recovery menu.

    On Google, I noticed that this "configuration updates: stage 3 of 3-0% complete." has been on Vista for 2008.  It is almost of 2012 and it always creates problems?

    03/15/13, we had a storm, and when well even I had a surge protector for a reason, he put my date one (1) year until 15/03/14 which I didn't notice at the time, so when I started my pc, he had a update installtion, which was the following: good security for Windows Vista (KB2807986) update less say , my pc was a bit confusing, because until what I changed the actual date in the BIOS?  She had always installed this update for 2014, so my pc and the browsers would not work correctly until I changed the date.  But in the meantime, the correct installation of the certain this update was never made...  So, I need help on what to do.  How to remove this update? Or should I leave and just manually install the update correct?  According to what it is, I need help on how to do it and where to find the correct update?  Can someone help me please?  and thank you!  I have Windows Vista Ultimate 2007 ServicePack2 32bitOS

    I was able to configure the Client VPN IPSec Site

    (2) with Split tunnel with simultaneous assess internal LAN and Internet on the outside.

    But I was not able to make the tradiotional model Hairpinng to work in this scenario.

    If possible, I'd like to see that a TCP connection attempt (e.g. http://www.google.com) in the ASDM logging of the VPN Client when you set up the dynamic NAT for the VPN Pool also.

    I'll try also the command "packet - trace" on the SAA, while the VPN Client is connected to the ASA.

    The command format is

    packet-tracer intput tcp

    That should tell what the SAA for this kind of package entering its "input" interface

    Still can not see something wrong with the configuration (other than the statement of "nat" missing Dynamics PAT)

  • MAC OS 10.6.8 using Safari 5.1 need help with Adobe Flash update

    Hello-

    Recently, Adobe Flash installed an icon in my system preferences and when I click the icon it has several tabs.  It allows updates automatically check.  It is said it will install the latest version of Flash without having to remove the previous version, but I've never said that a newer version is available, unless I have click "check now".  Although "Check updates automatically" is checked, I don't know where he tells me a newer version is available.  In addition, there was 5 "new versions" available since this icon has been installed in the system Prefeences, I only found on newer versions when I clicked on "check now".  If I read that with this new way to install the Mac final version of Flash requires not me to uninstall the previous version of Flash how we installed the latest version of Flash?  Is it in an email?

    Because it tells me that there is a newer version of Flash unless I click on "Check now" must still do the way I used to install the latest version of flash?  (The path in front of this icon was added to the system preferences)?

    I would appreciate help with update Flash to the latest version.  I used to uninstall the old version, restart the browser and download the latest version and install it.  He always worked find, but that was before there was an Adobe icon in my system preferences.

    1. I can't find the chat support.
    2 - I need LR5 but my app says no updates, even if I'm only on 4.

    AprilThisWay it is likely that your Lightroom problem is related to the incorrect application of Adobe Application Manager/creating Cloud Desktop installed.  The current version is 1.8.0.447.  You can find more details at CC help | Creative Cloud app for desktop PC | Release notes.

    I would recommend using the uninstall instructions available in the link referenced in the #7 message.  Once you have run all the available in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder available uninstallers, so please use the CC cleaning tool.  You can find details and a download link for the CC cleaning tool for the use of the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems.     I suggest you check the update history to know what update is declining and install it later manually.

    (a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programsand then click Windows Update.

    (b) in the left pane, click view update history.

    (c) to view more information about an update, double-click it.

    Once you know the update's KB number then visit the Microsoft Download and put the number in the search box, download and install the update manually.

    Could someone help me please with the problem. I can't access the windows at all. It has blue screen that says "FAILURE TO CONFIGURE updates SYSYTEM RESTORE CHANGES updated DO NOT turn OFF YOUR COMPUTER" pls help

    You may need to stay on this screen for not more than one hour, if there are serious problems with Windows Update.

    If you can always access your PC after waiting, turn off your PC. Then turn it on, immediately pressing F8 constantly. Once you get a black screen with options, select Safe Mode with the arrow keys and press enter on your keyboard.

    Once Windows finishes loading of files, you can start in safe mode, where you should be able to log on normally. You will notice that the screen resolution has changed, and when you log in, you will see a black desktop computer. This lets you know that you are using safe mode. Once you log on, restart normally.

    I am needing a little help with the help of a session variable, and I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    I created a PHP page that uses the Dreamweaver 'User authentication' feature and the basics of this works very well, to direct a user to the correct page depending on whether they are or are not a valid user. I want to customize the page 'user valid' with people, user name entered in the authentication of the user table... a seemingly simple task using a session variable, but I just seem not to be able to make it work!

    It seems that you put the columns incorrectly in the user authentication server behavior. This is the SQL query that checks the credentials of the user:

    You are looking for first name and last name, while you should look for the user name and password of the user.

    $_SESSION ['MM_Username"] is a session variable that stores the login name of the user. To use it in a page, all that is needed is the page start with session_start(). You can then echo the value to display.

    If you want to display the person's true name, you must create a recordset in the second page, use of $_SESSION ['MM_Username'] to search for the first name and the patronymic. Alternatively, you can change the code like this (I copied only part of it):

    I have some steps that may help you.

    Step 1

    1 run (Checksur.exe) system update readiness tool

    2 download and run (Checksur.exe) system update readiness tool. After downloading this tool, it runs a scan of a time for inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations.

    Step 2

    You will need to maybe reset the Windows Update components, download the Microsoft fix - it from the link and run the wizard that automatically resets the windows update components, if it does not, I recommend that reset you manually update windows components from the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

    Step 3

    Scan the file system [SFC] checker on the computer that replaces the corrupt files on the computer system, follow the steps below.

    1. start and type cmd in the box start the search.

    2 - Click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    3. at the command calls, the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

    When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

    This problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met:

    • Log file or database corruption exists in the folder % Systemroot%\System32\Catroot2.
    • Cryptographic services is set to disabled.
    • Other Windows files are corrupted or missing.
    • The timestamp signature or the certificate cannot be verified, or is incorrect.
    • The hidden attribute is set to the folder %windir%, or one of its subfolders.

    To resolve this problem, use the following methods. After completing the steps in each method, check to see if the issue is resolved before you go to the next method. If the problem is resolved by any method, you do not have to use other methods.
     
    Method 1: Rename the Edb.log file
     
    Rename the Edb.log file, and then try to install the program again. To rename the Edb.log file, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box, and then OK.

      Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start, type cmd in the box to search for text and right click on cmd.exe, and then click run as administrator.

    2. At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2\Edb.log *.tst

    Method 2: Set Cryptographic on auto Services

    Define Cryptography on AutoServices and then try to install the program again. To set the cryptographic on AutoServices, follow these steps:

    1. Start the Administrative Tools utility in control Panel.
    2. Double-click Services.
    3. Click Cryptographic Services, and then click Properties.
    4. Click Automatic for Startup type, and then click Start.

    Method 3: Reregister DLL files that are associated with Cryptographic Services
     
    To register .dll files that are associated with Cryptographic Services, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click run, type cmd in the Open box, and then OK.

    Method 5: Define a signature unmanned silent success strategy

    1. Click Start, click run, type regedit, and then click OK.

    2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:

    The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Non-Driver signing

    1. Right-click on the Policy binary value, and then click change.

    Press DELETE to remove the current value (02 in this example), and then type 0 (the current value will now appear as 00).

    Method 6: Clear the temporary file and restart the hotfix installation or the service pack installation
     
    To clear the temporary file and restart the hotfix installation or the service pack installation, follow these steps:

    1. Remove all tmp*.cat of the following folders:

      systemroot\system32\CatRoot\{127D0A1D-4EF2-11D1-8608-00C04FC295EE}

      systemroot\system32\CatRoot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}

    2. Delete all the kb*.cat files in the following folders:

    1. Restart the installation of the patch failed or the installation of the service pack.

    Method 7: Empty the software distribution folder

    1. Click Start, click run, type services.msc and click OK.

      Note On a Windows Vista-based computer, click Start, type services.msc in the Search box, click services.mscand then click run as administrator.

    2. In the Services (Local) pane, click automatic updates, and then click stop.
    3. Reduce the Services (local) window.
    4. Select all the contents of the Windows distribution folder, and then delete them.

      Note By default, the Windows distribution folder is located in the folder drive: \Windows\SoftwareDistribution. In this place, the drive is a placeholder for the drive where Windows is installed.

    5. Make sure that the Windows distribution folder is empty and enlarge the Services (local) window.
    6. In the Services (Local) pane, click automatic updates, and then click Start.
    7. Restart the computer, and then run Windows Update again.
