Help with vpn pix 501
I'm setting up a cisco pix 501 vpn tunnel but will have questions. The Firewall works although I am able to get out of the internet, but the VPN does not work. On the primary side, I see that the tunnel is up and the traffic is sent but not received.
Currently I'm sitting at the secondary location but don't know what the problem maybe. Anyone know what I have wrong which could prevent the data to send from this device?

I work to connect a PIX 501 VPN for a 3rd party hub 3015. The hub requires all traffic to come from a single source IP address. This IP address is assigned to me as z.z.z.z. I have successfully built the VPN and tested by mapping staticly internal IP with the IP address assigned, but cannot get the orders right to do with PAT in order to have more than one computer on the subnet 10.x.x.0. This Pix is also a backup for internet routing and NAT work currently as well for this.
I can redirect traffic to my subnet to the remote subnet via the VPN, but I can't seem to get the right stuff PAT to the VPN using the assigned IP address. If anyone can give me some advice that would be great.

(1) get rid of static electricity. Use more Global/NAT. The static method will create a permanent
translation for your guests inside and they will always be this way natted. Use
NAT of politics, on the contrary, as shown here:

In addition, if you have a personal firewall enabled on the host you are trying to connect from the Client VPN, please turn it off and try again. Personal firewall of Windows normally blocks the traffic of different subnets.

I'm relatively new to the security stuff. I'm a guy of the voice. I created a Pix 501 for IPSEC VPN and works very well. Then I tried it setting up PPTP VPN. I use Windows XP to connect. It connects fine, but I can't ping to the inside interface on the PIX. I can do this by using IPSEC. Any ideas? Here is my config:

You will have to connect to an internal system inside and out run the PIX using pptp.

Need help with VPN ASA/PIX
Is it possible to allow remote user access vpn access to another remote site via a VPN tunnel? can someone point me to some configurations on how can this be achieved?
I have already configured a VPN site-to site between a PIX and ASA and remote VPN access is also configured on the PIX (IPsec client). I'm trying to allow clients that connect the PIX to also have access to inside the ASA network.

I need help setting up a Cisco PIX 506th Version 6.3 (5)
I use the PDM to configure the device, because I don't know enough of CLI. I want to just the simplest of configurations.
Here is what is happening, I set up then I hang the Interface 1 to my laptop and use DHCP to get an ip address, but I can't get out to the internet like that. Thanks PDM tools, I can ping outside the IPS very well.

NAT is your problem, IE.
NAT (inside) 0-list of access inside_outbound_nat0_acl
NAT (inside) 0 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 0 0presumanly first NAT is fot your good VPN that acl looks a little funny, what exactly are you doing with that?
The second NAT is the real problem but for outgoing internet access - the NAT statement, you said not NAT one of your addresses 10.10.10.x which is a problem as 10.x.x.x address is not routable on the Internet.
You must change this setting IE. -
(1) remove the second NAT statement IE. "no nat (inside) 0 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0.
(2) add a new statement of NAT - ' nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0.
(3) add a corresponding statement global - global (outside) 1 interface.
This will be PAT all your 10.10.10.x to external IP addresses.
Apologies, but these are some CLI commands that I don't use PDM.

Problems with VPN PIX 525 Lan-to-Lan Cisco 2610XM

I have a VPN with PIX 525 versi problems? n 7.2 (1) and Cisco 2610XM Version 12.3 (18). When start the PIX, all tunnels works well, but 6-7 days, some of the tunnels do not work properly. Traffic passes the tunnel with some networks, but not with all networks. Sometimes the tunnel descends and it is imposible to go upward.
Attach them files are the "debug crypto isakmp" in both devices.

We are trying to set up a VPN site-to site between a Cisco831 and an ASA5510.
I have attached two units configuration files and file of the SAA.
on the 831, we get:

Help with VPN site-to-site under another VPN
Hello guys,.
I need a help to this scenario.
Branch--> HQ--> Remote Site, where:
Branch: Internal = 192.168.50.0/24
HQ: Internal = 192.168.40.0/24
Distance from the site = 10.175.26.0/24
Branch HQ plus the two ASA with ESP-3DES-MD5. (Here, we use the actual LAN IP range for field of encryption)
HQ + remote place = my side ASA with ESP-AES-256-SHA. (Here, to reach the Remote Site 10.175.26.0/24 we are NAT our LAN IP range at 172.18.0.10, so the field of encryption is 172.18.0.10--> 10.175.26.0/24)
Now we have this branch reachs the Remote Site, under the VPN with branch HQ HQ at Remote Site.
My actions:
Directorate-General for the firewall:
-In the VPN Site to Site configuration, I added the 10.175.26.0/24 of the tunnel between the branch and the headquarters of the remote network.
-J' added the EXEMPTION for 10.175.26.0/24 inside.
HQ of firewall:
-In the VPN Site to Site configuration, I added the 10.175.26.0/24 of the tunnel between the branch and the headquarters of the remote network.
-J' have created a dynamic policy outside source = IP range of branch to Remote Site IP range = translated into 172.18.0.10.
I already work for another Remote Site, but that the other has proposal IPsec ESP-3DES-MD5. (the same branch) I don't know if this is the problem, but I tried to use two proposal together, 3DES-MD5 and SHA-256-AES.
Firewall rules are ok too.
Where is the error in this configuration?

Hi Bay, if you use a Windows computer, you can use QuickVPN. The only thing to note is the router that you have as the gateway to the RV042. You must define a port forward for all IPsec services be able to overcome the problems with the NAT device.
RV042 configuration is easy, create a name of user and password and that's it. The problem/challenge will get your NAT connection to allow VPN pass.

I tried to get VPN to work for a specific scenario where I do NAT for VPN traffic to avoid the duplication of subnet.
I found several guides on cisco.com, but all the ones I found does not (or how) overload NAT (for internet traffic), I need for my setup.

VPN site to Site with NAT (PIX 7.2)

I hope for more help with config PIX. TBH I would classify myself as a newb on PIX, only dabbling in it every 6 months or so...
I have to configure a VPN site-to site between our UK and US Office, to replace our frame relay link. I have configured multiple VPN site to site on the before PIX, so am reasonably okay with the appearance of the config of who. What is a new concept for me is the needs of NAT'ing between the IPSEC tunnel.
The U.S. Agency requires us to NAT source addresses (i.e. 192.168.1.0) usable on their side address (i.e. 143.102.89.0). The tunnel must then be set to encrypt traffic between 143.102.89.0/24 and 172.24.0.0/14.
I added the following config and hoping to test it at the U.S. office happens online today.
If I Ping from 192.168.1.0 to 172.24.x.x source and run a SH NAT inside, the NAT translation seems good.

You can configure NAT/Global pair for the rest of the users.
For example:
You can use the initially configured ACL:

The static statement that you configured previously will take precedence over the above. So the printer gets statically using a NAT to 143.102.89.10, and the rest can do another ip address 143.102.89.x PATed.
Please note that for PAT, traffic can only be initiated from 192.168.1.0/24 LAN to 172.24.0.0/14, not the other way around.

Problems with PIX 501 and Server MS Cert

I have two problems with my PIX 501:
1. registration works well. The pix has a certificate and use it with SSL and VPN connections. But after a refill, the pix certificate is lost and it has regenerated again self-signed certificate!

, I get the following debugging: Crypto CA thread wakes!
CRYPTO_PKI: Cannot be named County ava
CRYPTO_PKI: transaction GetCRL completed
Crypto CA thread sleeps!
CI thread wakes!
And the CRL is empty.
Does anyone have any idea?

Not sure about 1, but 2 is usually caused by the COP (Point of Distribution of CRL, basically the situation where the PIX can download the Revocation list from) listed in cert CA is in a format the PIX does not, generally an LDAP URL.
Check the following prayer:
Open the administration tool of CA (Certification Authority) then
(1) right click on the name of CA and choose 'properties '.
2) click on the tab "Policy Module".
3) click on the button "configure."
4) click on the tab "X.509 extensions".
> From there, it can display the list of the "CRL Distribution Points".
Turn off everything that isn't HTTP.
You need to reinstall the CERT in the PIX, I think, but then it should be able to download the CRL through HTTP instead of LDAP.

where is the name of the access list that you applied the entrants to your external interface. You may also allow accord coming out, if you have a list of incoming configured access to your inside interface.

I have Microsoft CA server with the latest support CEP and pix 501 that gets the digital certificate. I also have the client certificate of Cisco, but VPN doesn't work
In the IPSec Log Viewer, I constantly "CM_IKE_ESTABLISH_FAIL."
It worked well prior to Win2k server has been completely updated with the latest patches.

I reinstall the stand-alone CA and support CEP server but not had any luck.
What could be wrong?
It looks like IKE implementation problem. Make DH group 2 policy ISAKMP.
