  Hi adoberixx,

  If you have the Acrobat software, please follow the steps below to reduce the size of pdf file:

  -Launch Adobe Acrobat.

  -Click the menu "file > open" to browse your computer and open a PDF file.

  -Choose "Reduce file size" under the "File" menu Select a compatibility option (for example, "Acrobat 5.0 or later"), then click on 'OK '. The window "save under" opens.

  -Type a name for the new file, and then click "Save". Note If you select the same filename as the original, you must confirm the replacement of the existing file by clicking 'Yes'.

  If you want to view what elements in your file pdf is causing the increase in file size and adjust accordingly, you can go to "file > save as > optimized PDF.

  A new 'Optimize PDF' window will appear. Here on the upper right corner, you will see a button that says 'space use of verification '.

  When you click it, you will notice a window showing the memeory used by various elements of the PDF viz Images, stream content, graphic Extendded etc alongwith size and the percentage of occupation in the pdf file.

  You can then adjust the pdf accordingly in the PDF Optimizer window.

  This problem occurs if Microsoft Visual C++ is curropt on your computer, so I suggest measures is to uninstall Visual C++ 2005 and reinstall it back. Steps to uninstall and reinstall the program.

  1. click on start

  2. Select Control Panel

  3. Select programs and features

  4 locate Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 in the list of programs

  5. Click to select the program and select uninstall

  You need to try the following options:

  Try removing any USB device attached to the computer and restart.

  Have you tried to boot your pc in safe mode? Try to log in as administrator or another account.

  Try pressing CTRL + ESC, this will bring up the Task Manager-> Application-> new task Type & -> explorer.exe-> ok.

  This should load your profile.

  You have installed any software / hardware recently, try to remove startup (click Start-> programs-> Startup). Restart your pc to see if its ok.

  If you reinstall windows, you will return to basics with a pc of skeleton and bones.

  Re install is always a last resort.

  If you do, you need to save data sought in stick or rom and re install after reinstalling.

  first of all a complete AV scan not because it may be a virus.
