  My Dell Latitude E6510 came with OEM Win 7 Pro x 64 installed. I am trying to perform a restore of the system to the factory setting.

  I tried to access advanced without result Boot Options and pressing F12 during the boot process does not provide me with the option to repair and select the recovery partition, as if it is invisible. If I use the computer management > storage I do not see the hidden partition or if I do Diskpart it is listed.

  Thanks for your reply but it appears not the solution you provided helped and I think you are incorrect since my original screenshot has allowed me to see the hidden partition, but I didn't know how to access it.

  I got access once I used the app "diskpart" with commands like 'list readers', 'list volume' and 'assign volumes"to access the partition of the content.

  Nevertheless, I have found that my recovery media is missing or damaged.

• Help, please! A master hard disk partition information lost and cannot start the Vista system

  I have Vista with my dell desktop computer.  I guess I got a virus that has deleted/messed my main hard drive.  All of sudden my computer was dead and when I try to restart, I found I can't boot the system.  I loaded the DVD for the resettlement of Dell to come with the computer and try to install it.  But it shows "Disk 0 unallocated space" with 222 GB and 'Disk 0 Partition 2 Recovery' with 10 GB.  I could not install Vista on the first, as it says "Windows must be installed on a partition formatted in NTFS.

  How could I solve this problem?  I could not allow me to format the drive because there a lot of data, that I just can't lose.

  Try this to save your data:

  Data recovery:

  1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

  2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

  Download the Vista software from the link above.

  After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

  Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  I use the recovery disks, restore the Visat OS on a dell laptop.  After the OS system, it displays the screen that requires the user name and password.  I can change the image associated with the user name, I can move the box around the screen, but it won't let me type in the username and password box.  Without putting the usernane and the password it will not go further, and I can not restore.  Help, please.  Thank you.

  A year ago, I partitioned my hard drive and installed Ubuntu just to try it.  I had both Vista and Ubuntu on my computer.  About 20 minutes ago, I started trying to remove Ubuntu.  To do this, I followed some instructions I found in a forum.  I started by removing the partitions in Ubuntu.  Then, I got what I thought was my drive system restore and rebooted.   Unfortunately, I had forgotten that this restore system disk belonged to my laptop previous (and almost identical) who had been replaced by HP for various reasons.   When I use it, I just get a message telling me that it cannot continue to restore the system and the computer restarts.  I took the disc and tried to restart.  My computer tries to load the Grub and breaks down and I have to restart.  I can get into Bios but I don't know what to do with it.  Pressing f11 does nothing.  F8 does nothing.  Help, please! I don't know that everything is backed up!

  There is no Vista free download legal available.

  Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

  Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  Hi, I recently started to get into trouble when you play all THE games on my computer. Games like World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2 and Guild Wars. They have completely turned off my computer after 1-2 minutes. They even stop it if I left it on the login screen. I had 3 answers after searching the Web. It was either a overheating, lack enough power, or its drivers were not updated. I fixed all 3 and it made me anywhere I e-mailed Acer support and told to try to use the system restore. I had 96 updates on Windows Update and I was able to download half of them. Others told me to reboot, but when I did, he wouldn't do anything except make me have to use start up repair. At this point, your only real option would be a HARD drive swap and a reinstallation of the operating system with recovery CD.
