  James, if it came with the machine and you are not registered, then you can't get it from the dealer where you purchased the machine. PSE 8 is now end of life and we have limited resources for the same thing, make sure you check the system requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements if you try to install it on a new machine.

  If you want to upgrade to the latest version, you can check: photo editor, change the images. Adobe Photoshop Elements 13

  You will not be able to activate the Photoshop CS2 you have on your drive.  Adobe closed the activation servers.

  You can, however, download the Photoshop package from the following Adobe page.  Follow the specific instructions provided here and remember that you can not use your original serial number.

  There is no need for a serial number to activate Acrobat subscription.

  After you install Acrobat XI pro, all you need is to log in to adobe.com with your Adobe ID and password to activate the software.
