  • Satellite P200-1 b 6: Sound Driver update fails, and HD-DVD player does not work

I just bought a laptop Satellite P200-1 b 6 and spent the day installing the updates recommended by the TEMPO programme. One of them was an update of RealTek audio driver but on run this it fails at about 80% of the way through with an error: "install Realtek HD Audio Driver failure!

Now, the reader of HD DVD, Toshiba will fail with an error "unable to output the video to an external device.

Please change your display keys of the device by pressing the Fn + F5 after the end of the application "." I tried this but it seems to have no effect.

I'm now regretting starting to update the drivers installed. Should I try to rebuild the machine using the recovery discs or is there another solution that someone found? Or if others have found the upgrade work?

    All advice welcome

    Hello

When I started using PC, one of my friends told me something: do not touch the well-executed system. I know that you, like so many other people out there, have updated things but as you can see, it can go in the wrong direction.

This TEMPO software is good, but if all goes well the leave it as it is. What you can try is to use the System Restore tool and move the BONES to earlier time and hope everything will be OK again.

    Please post the result.

  • Satellite L300 has no sound and the modem also does not work

I have this Toshiba Satellite L300 (PSLB8A - 1F004) an Australian model who was working perfectly until I changed the hard drive after he developed bad sectors.
    I installed Win Vista Business.

I have all drivers (TOSAPINS file) provided with the original hard drive, but when I installed the drivers in the correct order. IE chipset, modules, audio, modem, and all the other pilots.

There is still a little red x on the taskbar saying: "no audio output device is installed" and I also noticed that the modem is not listed in Device Manager. I also tried to replace a work from a cell phone same model modem card, but it still shows no signs of picking up the modem as well as his driver.

I made the attempt to download the drivers from mytoshiba.com.au under the exact model and the OS and installed but nothing helps, the problem is still there.

No sign of modem picked up and the little red x on the taskbar always shows "no audio output device is installed" and on Device Manager, is not to show the audio or modem. There is also nothing in the typical yellow marks and also I tried to show hidden devices but there is still no sign.

Is there something else I missed that I can try again?

    WewakMaster

I agree, with Akuma. First remove the audio controller from Device Manager (can be found under audio and game controllers).

Then update the Vista of the State. All patches and Service Packs must be installed.
Then, restart the device and install the driver Audio from Realtek ALC268 from here:

Something going wrong drasticaly yesterday. I wasn't doing anything elaborate, just work excel and I'm tired of the Tablet touch and 'connected' one infrared I smile sometimes use... it did not work too well, low battery level, I guess, so I returned to the touch pad... but the touchpad was now for some reason, doesn't work do not at all and did not since...

Turning off the laptop and was my solution, but he has not corrected the situation... the infra-red mouse works very well but with new batteries... on top of that, now when I turn the laptop off, it stops but then automatically starts once again, when a microsoft message appears saying that the computer has recovered from a serious error.

So since this episode, the touch pad does not work and the computer will stay off! And maybe it's me crazy, but some of the keys on the keyboard are more sensitive as they once were.

    Hello

Sound very mysteriously. However, as in the first answer mentioned the function FN + F9 turn off and turn on the touchpad.
I also recommend to check the Device Manager if all devices are working properly.
If you find any errors, but the problem persists then the step of text should be the reinstallation of the operating system. In this case, please use the recovery CD.

If the recovery procedure will not solve the problem, I guess there must be something wrong with the hardware and the ASP help is needed. Guys could start diagnostic tests and can locate the fault.

  • Sound does not work on my dv7 HP ENVY relatively new

In the last two weeks, the sound stop working on my laptop.  Since the purchase, I was able to cut the sound and turn it back on without any problems, but now when I turn the sound back on nothing happens.  The sound icon and the Volume mixer all show that the sound works and is set at the highest volume, but nothing comes out.  Given that this laptop has beatsaudio, it's frustrating.

    Hello

    Tangles and "be stuck."

The sound can be set on come others as you wish - sometimes parameters do not recover as expected when devices are added or removed.

If the settings Audio (sound) are OK, but the system is just confused, confused, or "stuck in a loop" on what is happening with the Sound System, then you could get away with just do a power Reset.  A power reset is nothing more drain away from the stored instructions that the computer uses restart to restart and forcing the system all over again and get new instructions from the operating system of the computer.   Feed the work of reset for a bunch of weird stuff that confused laptops and makes them act weird - it works for that?  Meh.  Perhaps.  Quick and easy to make.  It will not change the data on your computer.  You decide.  You are the admin.

    Reset forced

Specifications - power reset to solve Hardware and Software issues-Non-removable battery

    OR

Laptops - power reset to solve hardware and software - removable battery

Power reset cannot tell the difference between drivers - it does not analyze a driver before applying.

    EXAMPLE:

If the driver on the disk is the wrong driver before rebooting, it's always the wrong driver after the reset.

If the INSTRUCTIONS of the driver are tangled, messed up, missing or damaged, then the reset may solve the problem.

Why a power reset works to solve some problems:

The Hard Reset Power does not install anything on your computer, it does not remove anything from your computer, and delivery to zero do not change or update the programs on your computer.  Your data and files remain as they were before the reset has been applied.

Why a power reset does not work:

If the problem is more than a simple tangle, if 'good job' on the computer is not enough - in other words, if you need an update, a new driver, or if there is a problem that can not be "unraveled", then the reset does not work.

If there is a hardware problem power reset will not work.

If the installation is really messed, it may resort to reinstall the Audio driver.  Because you have only your system for a short time, you can probably use the Audio driver in your recovery manager and without having to go out and download it from website to your computer.

Using Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 8)

  • Satellite L655 - sound does not work on the new install of Windows 7 Pro x 64

    Howdy all,

I bought a Newegg L655-S5111, which was on sale, put an SSD, and then installed a legitimate copy of Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit, I got from my current employer (I'm a computer scientist). I've updated to the latest revision of the BIOS (1.70), and I have all the updates installed Windows, all drivers installed, including the correct drivers Conexant HD Audio and ATI HDMI Audio. Unfortunately, the sound does not work. Sound works briefly during my first install of Windows 7, then I cut it up until I could get it set up with a helmet. When I disabled it, she had stopped working.

This laptop is less than 3 weeks at this point, old and I get no audio on headphones or speakers, even if Windows displays clearly no problems with the drivers, they have the latest version on a new installation, and I can see the audio mixer game. The laptop built-in microphone captures sound as well. I think that's probably not a matter of the physical interconnection, but more likely a software problem, I just have trouble identifying where it is.

I have also no related error message than any where in the case of newspapers.

Can you please do a test and install original recovery image Toshiba, that you got with your laptop on this new SSD, just to see if it will work with the original image.

Recovery image contains all the necessary drivers and OS is perfectly configured so each piece of hardware in your laptop should work correctly.

Exactly what virus or other malware, have you been hit with? How do you have
I know? They were removed? How?

What anti-virus and anti-spyware programs you have installed? Are
    they kept up to date?

Be aware that Microsoft Security Essentials and safety
