Hibernate does not

The Hibernate function does not work, I recently deleted a virus correctly. Restart pending, both work well.

Hello

For XP use start - RUN instead of start - search (Vista and Windows 7)

Please do you a favor and carry out a very thorough check for malware - more than
just racing McAfee and HitMan Pro (I recommend also). Use the methods below
at the point of extreme overkill.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

TDSSKiller.exe. - Download the desktop - so go ahead and right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN
It will display all the infections in the report after you run - if it will not run changed the name of
TDSSKiller.exe to tdsskiller.com. If she finds something or not does not mean that you should not
check with the other methods below.

    Hello

From my own experience, I can say that all the FN buttons work perfectly after hibernation, standby, restart, etc.. No problem at all!

I put t know what is the problem, but in your case would be to reinstall the package of added value and utility to Support Flash Cards. Two tools to control the FN key functions and can be downloaded from the official page of Toshiba.

But before you reinstall it, remove older versions first. Then install VAP, restart and finally Flash Cards Support utility.

  • Equium A60 - standby and Hibernate function does not

I have a Toshiba Equium (or Satellite) laptop A60 - bought in 2004.

The problem that I have with him, it is that the sleep feature is very + capricious. Times it usually works. At worst it's working only a small proportion of the time. Very bad moments it never works at all.

When startup fails I open the screen and the computer turn on, I hear the fan and hard drive, but the screen is just black display (although the backlight is on in the background).
Sometimes, the mouse pointer is visible at the center of a black screen Uni and at other times small forests of window are visible - but the screen is still black.
The computer is in a State of brain death, and I have to turn it off and restart to get it working again.

I've been through this forum looking for ideas and tried without notable success the following:
    Disabling wake-up-on-LAN
    * I have already installed the latest version of the BIOS.

I need to know how to solve this problem because my A60 is getting old and so it tends to become very hot if left running for a long period at a time.

    The total number is A60 - PSA67E 00200D8J

I am running Windows XP is installed on original Toshiba drive - but with 5 years ' worth of Microsoft updates added on top. When I tried to reinstall the operation usually on the eve of the OS works, but by the time wherever I installed all the extras (drivers card wireless firewall, AV,...), it goes back to be unreliable again.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

    > When the night before fails, I open the screen and the computer turn on, I hear the fan and hard drive, but the screen is just black display (although the backlight is on in the background).

This means that after the installation of a new OS everything seems to work properly but after a short time the night before fails again one generally, this occurs when the laptop gets hot.
    Is this good?

Hmm I think you should check if the high temperature does not affect the functionality of the laptop
This is perhaps the main reason for your question.
So I recommend to clean the vents and to remove dust using the jet of compressed air (you can get it from most computer resellers)

In very rare cases, it would be helpful to renew the thermal grease which is placed between the cooling module and CPU.
But this must be done ONLY by a mobile technician because the procedure of disassembly is really complicated.

Update the display driver too. This could help to resolve the problem with the black screen.

  • NB100-12N, 3G modem does not work after hibernate

My computer is a NB 100 - 12N with Windows XP Home SP3. It is equipped with an internal modem to 3G, Modem Broadband Mobile F3507g from Toshiba.

When the computer is started, Wireless Manager 5 starts and automatically connect to the internet through 3G modem. However, if the computer switches to hibernation Wireless Manager gives the error message "no modem mobile broadband not connected" (freely translated from Swedish as I have Swedish version). I can't find anyway to get it back except reboot the computer from scratch.

The computer is also equipped with WIFI and as I suspected a collision between two network systems I tried to disable the WIFI network. This did not make a difference however.

Suggestions anyone? I hope you can help because using a laptop (in effect) without hibernation is quite annoying...

    Sara

It also not help to close the Wireless Manager and reopen it again.
If this does not help, have you updated to the latest FW, driver manager and wireless?

  • X120e - yellow USB port does not support suspend or Hibernate

I have two options enabled in the BIOS, but the yellow charge USB port when the laptop is awake.  I use the latest BIOS and drivers.  Does anyone else have this problem?

It is enabled in power manager. I just read the help dialog here and it does not mention that it will only charge when connected via AC what kind of defeats the purpose for me. I was hoping I could recharge my phone off of the battery of the x120e, while he was in hibernation.

  • Watch does not dead

    Watch does not dead

Your Apple Watch become hot?  It will not charge if it is too hot, see this help page:

    https://help.Apple.com/watch/#/apd707b42a5e

Temperature Apple Watch is designed to best operate in ambient temperatures between 32 ° and 95 ° F (0 ° and 35 ° C) and stored in temperatures ranging from-4 ° to 113 ° F (-20 ° to 45 ° C). Apple Watch can be damaged and life of shortened battery if stored or used outside of these temperature ranges. Do not expose the Apple Watch any major changes of temperature or moisture. If Apple Watch inner temperature exceeds normal operating temperatures (for example, in a hot car or in direct sunlight for long periods of time), you may experience the following when attempting to regulate its temperature:

    • Load maybe slow down or stop.
    • The display may dim.
    • A temperature warning screen may appear.
    • The transfer of certain data may be suspended or delayed.
    • Some applications may close.

Important: You may not be able to use Apple Watch while the temperature warning screen appears. If Apple Watch cannot regulate its internal temperature, it passes in Hibernate mode or power reserve, until it cools. Move Apple Watch to a cooler location out of direct sun and wait a few minutes before trying to use Apple Watch again. For more information, see support.apple.com/kb/HT204508.

  • Satellite A300 - rotates but does not start

    Hello

I have a Satellite A300. I had several probems for the boot since 2 months ago: when I want to turn on my laptop, it turns on but the screen keeps black and it does not load the screen "Toshiba Leading Innovation". 'Satellite' (to the left of the mouse) light is on (it would go only about a second then to start and then turn off) and it will turn off.

I try again for so many times with all the possibilities: without battery, only with the power adapter, two, but it does not start. I don't know what I can do. I always Hibernate my laptop because I'm afraid of can not start it the next day.

Could you help me? If she cares: I had to buy a new battery (not original from Toshiba) because I had to change the original. No more changes to my laptop.

Thank you very much and sorry for my English written: S

    Diego

    Hey Buddy,

    > I had to buy a new battery (not original from Toshiba) because I had to change the original. No more changes to my laptop.
Of course, it s always advisable using Toshiba original spare parts only, but if you notice the same problem with AC adapter only it s not related to the new battery.

Just to make a better diagnosis: If you have connected an external monitor? The internal display is perhaps the problem and doesn't turn on and it would be useful if you are testing the situation and an external monitor.

But this noise as a hardware problem serious and in this case, you can wait to contact an authorized service provider. Technicians professional diagnostic tools to make an accurate diagnosis and to Exchange defective equipment parts.

  • Satellite A305-S6858 win XP video driver does not

I recently bought a Satellite A305-S6858 in the States and I went down the Edition Vista Home premium preinstalled
for Win XP 32 sp 3. I had several problems to lift the computer up and running. After reading several posts
on various forums, I managed to install the OS, but I still cannot use the Intel video driver.
After the installation of those available on the toshiba site I still have in the Device Manager under the node for the video card
2 entries for 965 Chipset Mobile with an exclamation point.
I recently discovered that not having is not the video driver installed the operating system does not allow Stanby and Hibernate power options.
If someone has stumbled in the same issue?
    Thank you

You must install the basic drivers first.

Try to install the driver for the Chipset Intel first, then the display driver.
