  The time seemed right, however I noticed that the CPU VCore values were extremely high, being around 1.77 V, while I knew that they were not supposed to exceed 1.40!

  I tried to reset the SMC, but statistics are the same.

  The values of VCore supposed to be so high on this model? I tried searching online, I found another user with the same questions but no answers.

  I have exactly the same problem after I noticed that my macbook runs just stupidly hot, I think I use the same as you, but with the 2.5 Ghz i7 (which I think is the i7-4870HQ model) and the GT 750 M. Given my experience with desktop processors a Vcore of 1, 8V is crazy, which probably makes me think the reporting software may be wrong (may be an estimate rather than an actual reading). Or it could also be this laptop CPU variants are very different to the Office counter parties (but I could not find the technical information of intel). I checked the Vcore on an old laptop of mine using an i5 - 2520 m and is not further 1.150V on the vcore. I contacted the manufacturer of the app and intel, for more information. Will run some tests on my bootcamp windows partition (where I have a better knowledge of the measurement software), will let you know.

• The CPU suddenly very high low host CPU

  Hi all

  I was struggling with a particular host for awhile and am unable to access the root of the cause. What we have so far:

  Physics:

  1 host, 2 quadcores with HT technology (total 8 cores, 16 logic due to HT), 24 GB of ram

  HP Proliant DL380 G6

  Virtual:

  1 x Windows 2008R2 DC/FS 2vcpu

  1 x Windows 2008R2 SQL 4vcpu

  1 x Windows 2008R2 Exchange 2010 1vcpu

  1 x Windows 2012R2 RDS currently 8vcpu

  Recently, the old 2008R2 RDS has been replaced by the new 2012R2 RDS. This went well, nothing special, no complaints, that rent because it was quite a bit of snappyier than the last.

  Then, (and I did not understand what happened yet, could have been power failure) after about a week the Esxi host froze and we had to restart. Servers began and everything was fine, until the problems started.

  The 2012R2 virtual machine currently maxing out at 100% cpu usage in Windows Task Manager, between all the virtual cores. This can be achieved by something as simple as the launch of chrome and Outlook at the same time. Performance on this virtual machine is terrible. All other virtual machines are affected also, extremely high CPU usage in Windows, maxing out even with simple tasks. If I open vSphere and check the CPU usage, it's nowhere near capacity. The RDS virtual machine did not exceed 3000 mhz maximum.

  What we have tried so far:

  -Reboot the host

  -Restart the virtual machine

  -The power management has changed compared to the High Performance HP OS Control setting, and the powersetting to high performance in vsphere. I can see through esxtop that all hearts are at c0 permanently. (Could not verify this before because of ILO2 failing to display this when HP high performance mode is activated)

  -J' tried all sorts of Vcpu assignments, until 1 vcpu/1core 8 sockets on the 2012RDS. There is no pool of resources, there is no reserves (I tried those who, unfortunately, no effect)

  -Close all VM except one (to check if there is some sort of contention cpu), always the same.

  I think something is gone belly up when the host rebooted, simply unable to understand why, and apart from the crazy CPU usage, the server running now stable.

  Any input is greatly appreciated.

  This has been fixed!

  Have us shut completely the host, took off all power physically and reconnected. After that, CPU returned to normal. Upgrade to ESXi for good measure.

  Apparently restart with the ILO is not enough.

  I have two instances 6 POS. A week ago, a saw that the use of the CPU on one of them is almost always 100%. Backup jobs, the second instance has about 20% CPU usage.

  POS 6.0.1 release notes said it fixes an issue with high CPU usage.  Perhaps one of your instances has configuration of e-mail and the other not.  Maybe the upgrade, the problem will be solved.

  Yes, I'm not surprised by the memory.  Farmville may have earned of objects loaded, which gets intensive memory, and then we do a lot of caching and optimization on top of it.  The CPU usage is higher than I'd like, but there is so much crazy stuff goes under the hood of these kinds of games.  Zynga is actually in front of the team of Flash Player in San Francisco, so we spent a lot of time to work with them to build the profilers and adjust their games.

  Honestly, you will get probably better performance in IE - there was a lot of performance tuning for Win8 spent energy, and it does not suffer from either architectural deficiencies in the implementation of Firefox this impact, or performance of the OpenGL performance issue that affects the PPAPI Flash Player at the moment.  We are actively working on both of these problems, so it is hopefully a temporary situation, but two corrections are negligible.

  The ActiveX control also gets a lot of latest Windows compiler optimizations that we use for the Chrome or the plug-in on Firefox NPAPI still.  We will eventually migrate to the latest compilers of Windows for everything, but it's a lot of work.  Switching compilers seems easy, but it's always a very difficult effort when you have a million line code base and more.  I don't think that what you see, it's quite unreasonable as it is really ambitious content, but you will probably get a better experience of IE on the desktop with Stage3D mode such things.

  Don't download surprised when you see 'high' ready CPU values. On the performance tab, it is always more difficult to know how 'high' high is really.

  In a Word, you should check how many samples is retained when you look at the chart 'last day '. If everything is left to the default value, you have one seems of (I think) 5 minutes.

  So, do the math, you get: 5 minutes seems is 5601000 = 300,000 milliseconds. So if you see 5000 millseconds CPU ready time, it's really only 5000 / 300,000 = 0.016 or 1.6%. Which is actually pretty good!

• S50 satellite - B PSPQ6E - high interruptions on CPU

  Bought a Toshiba S50 - B (pspq6e) yesterday, when I booted the system I noticed that it wasn't in reaction time. I decided to install windows 7 on it, after that only she remained slow with many interruptions of the cpu (atapi.sys, ndis.sys).

  Things, I tried to solve this problem:

  -install windows 7
  -disable the cpu Accelerator
  -install the drivers 1by1 from official support section of Toshiba
  -install the latest drivers from the factory

  even after doing a format without having to install drivers, interrupts are there so I guess that it is a bios related or hardware problem.
