High-speed router of the provider is located in the basement

Hello

I think buying a system of Vonage, unless someone has something better to offer.  My wireless router is in the basement because when Verizon Fios we passed to the fiber is the simplest installation method.  My question is this: with my router in my basement and my phones and faxes and computers all on the third level... Y at - it a device adapter or the phone that is wireless?  If I connect my router in the basement of my phone adapter I can't connect a cable from my phone and fax all the way down here without terring a lot of drywall.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

Brandon

Linksys/Cisco equipped with a wireless adapter specially designed to attach to your ATA if you use a Linksys/Cisco ATA...  The WBP54G Wireless-G bridge.  It uses the power of the ATA.  It works, I've used.  Vonage is sometimes used Linksys products.  You can certainly use other providers.

Fax is sometimes difficult to work with voip little matter how put you in place.

  • How to use Sync high speed (HSS) with the HVL-F60M on a NEX-6

I recently bought the HVL-F60M flasgship flash for my NEX-6. I can't see how to exploit the higher with the NEX-6 synchronization speeds. The built-in pop-up flash is limited to 1/160th shuter speed flash sync. The HVL-F60M claims can I synchronize the maximum of 1/4000e camera which is one of the main reasons I bought this flash. I've scoured the menus but can't find this configuration. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the response. I since found that HSS is disabled when the flash HVL-F60M has the bounce flash diffuser installed. There is a small magnet on the hood that tell the camera what it is attached. I guess that the indirect light and power are not suitable for high speed motion gel. I can adjust the shutter speed all the way up to 1/4000 in mode S and M. which concerns

  • Internet connection for the second computer on a connection high speed

I have two computers, one running XP and a Vista.

They were bound by a simple home network wired using a switch. Internet is available via dial-up on the Vista machine.

I changed the cable (high speed), always on the Vista machine only and leaving the intact cable network.

Next step was to install a Linksys WRT54G2 V1 router and run the connection Strip through it.

Then, I took the switch network cables and connected to the router. I am able to access the files on each machine to other machine.

However, I do not have access to the Internet on the XP machine and do not know what I should do at this point.

Could someone lead me to some documents that might guide me please?

    Thank you very much...

You cycle the modem power cable after unplugging the XP machine, connected to the router?

The best thing to do is power down (cable modem, router and PC), then turn on the cable modem, wait it a few minutes, then turn on the router, wait a few minutes, then turn on the PC.

  • My sister does not pay for high-speed internet, but she...?

Hi, any help will be appreciated. My sister currently has high speed internet on his computer at home, but she's not be charged anywhere where we can see.

She currently has comcast cable to his phone and cable TV. No where on the Bill is it supported for the high speed internet. Comcast deny it becomes internet delicately them. I origionally belive she got the service by ATT for phone and high speed internet. She changed phone service to comcast and I guess the external modem is home for internet high speed and his home phone. She is not charged for high speed.

The problem is that his computer is his last stages of life, its between 10 and 11 years old and runs windows XP. I tried to plug in another post, but because I do not know where our 'free' high speed internet I have no meens to download the software for a new computer and I have of course no password.

1 could. someone tell me through the settings or somewhere else on the computer where I could find information on high speed internet? Is that what I can do to connect a new computer to the Internet without a password?

    2. could I buy a wireless router broadband and connect it directly to the cable outlet in the wall can connect to its current modem (from comcast for internet and phone) or would need a password for the internet account that I don't have?

Any help is appreciated! Any suggestions? Greg

Click Start-> Control Panel-> network.  That displays all your network connections.

    Hello

I have a new SATELLITE S50 - B 15, i7-5500U, 8 GB Ram, SSD etc., IV and v have some problems with it.

for unknown reasons the CPU fan starts to operate at high speed, even if the temperature of the CPU hit is not 35%.
It also froze about 10 times since I got it (April this year).

The only way to make it work again would be me to hold the power button down until stop and start it back up.
Once launched upward there is no mention of potential problems in the newspapers of events other than the forced closure.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced problems?

    Thank you

    Chris

The only way to make it work again would be me to hold the power button down until stop and start it back up.

Forcing order restores the fan activity and performance?
Hmm it sounds like there must be some sort of system emits probably the bottom of some process locks the CPU and therefore increases the activity of the fan.

You could start the the Task Manager and in the process tab, you will find all background applications that would appeal to the CPU.
Click the CPU column to display all the processes of loading the CPU.

However, you can also try to change the option of cooling method that is available in Windows Advanced Power options.
Go to control panel → power options.
Click here on the power plan that is currently in use.
Then click on advanced power options and access the cooling method.
Here you can change it from active to passive.

In addition, you can decrease the status of CPU max at 90-05%

  • Comcast Internet high speed

Woman (who visits the sites of plants with lots of photos) growls a lot about slow Internet

We have phone Qwest & DSL in Vancouver WA, and speed ONLY we're currently offered is 1.5MBSec... faster than access remotely, but still not so great for photo pages intensive (or these forums I visit!)

Qwest "says" they're working on upgrades to the network and "someday" we will be offered from 7MBSec up to 20 or more... but not that I talked to Qwest nobody any idea when this will actually happen

So... without taking into account TV (we have DirecTV) or by phone (I'm not sure that their phone service will work with our fax) I told my wife to call Comcast and see how fast they CLAIM to offer and at what price

Thinking that Comcast Internet high speed will be the same everywhere... who has Comcast for Internet and how fast they are in practice?

Comcast speed vary according to the time of day (other users) or their system still offers their 'power '?

I don't think that saying to stop complaining to make good

    Alas, it never does.

  • High speed USB 2.0 physical location of the port

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-3122us Notebook PC. I get messages when the transfer of files on the fastest "high speed USB 2.0 port.  My user manual tells me that I have three ports, of which one is a 2.0 port but I am unable to say which is the 2.0 port. Can anyone help me find information on the location and identification of the usb ports?

    James Worthen Sr

I just got offline with a HP tech rep and he told me that the high-speed 2.0 port was, in fact, the eSATA/USB port.

With this port, it gives me four ports and I wouldn't imagine that it was even a USB port, as it seems slightly different rather than the usual USB ports. I pluged my Bluetooth adapter in this port and it works fine. I have not tried to transfer files with this port again, except the photos with the bluetooth, but when I do I will seek to see if I still get the same message while transferring. I doubt I would. I believe that this issue has been resolved and I will mark it as my. Thanks to all who responded.

  • I butwhen high speed high, I use the webcam on any video chat my signature programs is blurred

I am deaf and use webcam to Sin with other people on Skype or other video programs... have fabulous high speed cable and another my video phone, I look on and no blur effect but when I use the webcam and I use the language signs my hands become blurred, even though I have great high speed? How can I fix the webcam so that the image is fine and not blurred when I connect?

    Hello

    ·         What is the brand and model of the webcam?

    ·         If it works well before? If so, were there recent changes made on the computer before the show?

Follow these steps and check if that helps.

    Step 1:

There is usually a ring or something raised around the lens. try adjusting the focus of the webcam. Consult the manual of the webcam or visit their support site.

    Step 2:

I suggest to find the latest driver/software for webcam on the manufacturer's Web site and install it on the computer.

Uninstall and reinstall the webcam from the Device Manager:

    a. open the Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click Run, type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.
    b. in the list of USB devices or imaging devices locate the webcam and make a right click on it and then click on uninstall.
    c. restart the computer and re-install the driver software.

    Step 3:

Sometimes the setting the webcam may be incorrectly, you may need to change the settings and check if it helps. You can go to thought that the manual either to get in touch with the webcam or the manufacturer of the system for more support.

  • Super High speed internet Time Warner installed (50mbps) but foxfire operating only at 1.35Mbps, while the internet Explorer works fine

Internet (50mbps) Time Warner installed high-speed yesterday on my computer, but when the guy left I noticed that the speed was very slow. SIS one test on speedtest.net and found I was getting a maximum of 1.35mbps (sometimes as low as .62mbps). So I had them come back and they tried all kinds of things, only to discover Internet Explorer gets 50mbps, so it's something with Foxfire. What would it be?

Hello, when you use speedtest.net or a similar site based on flash to measure your connection speed, it could be a problem with the protected mode that adobe has implemented for its flash plugin for firefox. Some older versions of f-secure or report of trusteer are known to cause slowdowns with flash, or it could be something similar on your system that interferes (maybe security software that block/sandbox the container used for protected mode, etc...).

as a solution, you could try downgrading of 10.3 flash (which is always supported) or Disable protected mode & see if that makes a difference.

  • Portage Z30-A-13W connected to the high speed Port Replicator III - USB problems

    Hi all.

We recently bought a new Portage Z30-A-13W and Hi-Speed Port Replicator III.
Setting network and graphics work correctly with port replicator, but the USB ports don't work at all.

I tried the port replicator USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and I can't seem to work with a keyboard, mouse, USB key or a mobile phone.

In the case of mobile phones, it is also no output power of the ports that the mobile does not start to load.

At any one another experianced this problem and what was the resolution.

    Thank you very much

    Jonathan Davies

    Hello

As far as I know additional drivers are not really needed to use the USB ports.
This is why I m wondering why don t USB ports work.

It might be possible that ports high speed Port Replicator III USB are faulty, but to be honest, I can't imagine that all 6 USB ports may bad work at the same time.

So maybe it s a software problem.
First of all, I would recommend the default BIOS and check the USB legacy support for keyboard and mouse could be activated.
After access to the Device Manager and remove / delete the USB hubs and controllers in the list of devices.

Keep high speed Port Replicator III connected to the computer and restart the device.
Usually, the system should recognize automatically deleted USB ports and must update the drivers of USB ports.

I hope that the USB ports don't work after this short workaround solution.
    Keep your fingers crossed.

  • Satellite A100 - the fan runs at high speed after idle standby

    Hello

    My laptop is Satellite A100-912.

The problem is when I suspend it for more the a few minutes when the fan is running at high speed. This occurs on both Windows XP and Linux GNU. When the temperature of the two nuclei will more then 51 degrees C fan slows down and begins to work as expected. Suspended for a short time (about a minute or two) the fan speed is OK.

I've updated to the latest version of the BIOS.

    Hello

What version of BIOS you have installed? Has recently been the machine in for repair? A few interesting facts where I need some information to help you...
By the way: is your machine still in warranty?
