  See HairyFool response, and I would add the following. You can select multiple files in a folder by clicking on one and then by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on all the others you want, one at a time.

  After selecting several files, you can do what you want with them - all remove them, copy them, cut, etc..

  You can do it by using an Action (via Tools - Wizard of the Action).

  Create a new Action that runs this JS code and save the file and then execute it right on your files:

  Just an aside: treatment of thousands of files like this may not work in a single process. You'll probably have to do it in batches.

  From my experience, nothing more than 500 files at once is a recipe for problems.

  Open Acrobat Reader DC, navigate to the Edit-> Preferences-> General-> uncheck "Open Documents in the new tab in the same window.

  Now, reboot your system, when you open multiple PDFs that all will open in a new window so that you can easily compare.
