  Hi all

  I searched on the internet in vain for a solution to this bug. It is completely that hinder my creative process as it appears in each file, that I opened. I'm under Illustrator CC 2015.3 on Windows 8.1.

  I can add a gradient, and when I try to change it via the cursor in the gradient panel, no update is made to the object on the first fit (even if it is enabled) and the second adjustment, trying to cause the graphics cursor and all setting points to disappear! There is nothing unique about my items. I tried to make the transparent tracks, paths not composed them, expanding copy them into a new file, creating new art from scratch, etc.. I also tried to enter new samples on the slider and by removing existing ones, but once I did click, the second click quite disappear. Nothing seems to work, and that he poses a serious question that I regularly use gradients! I also tried to upgrade to the latest version of Illustrator (2015.3), but there has been no change. I tried the CMYK and RGB mode to see if that was a problem, but no change.

  Also, I can't the gradient bar itself appears above the object, even if I give myself the opportunity to hide in the view menu (which means that it must be visible).

  So I reset my preferences then Illustrator will not open. He gave me the ability to run diagnostics, which I did, and Illustrator then determined my plugin Cutting Master 3 was the problem and he ran in safe mode with disabled. I deleted the plugin in the plugins via the Explorer folder and opened Illustrator.

  Maybe a screenshot will help you visualize the problem. But you can start by activating: Edition/Preferences/Type/Language Options/options to Slovak or create a block of text first and then stick to that.

  As I am passing to sift through messages about laptops - I thought I'd post my own as my requirements are a little different.  I am looking to buy a new windows laptop.  I work with Photoshop and Illustrator and office programs such as outlook, word and excellent.  I have CS2 but will upgrade with purchase of a new laptop - in course of execution CS5.5 (or better) is required.  I want to spend what is necessary to get the job done right - no more - but I won't be cheap either - it must work well & not hinder my workflow.  This will be my only computer. Be effective is the key.  I use Adobe to make graphics for clothing: (embroideries, prints, logos, etc.) and small business (logos, print media, etc.).  I work in actual size - so a lot of what I do is on a 20 x 30 art Board. Suggestions on the sheet or real laptop models would be great.  Thanks a lot for your help: it's all too confusing!

  The Scratch disk location occupies PS via Edition > Preferences. It will be by default C:\, who would be your only option if you have only one HARD disk.

  Ditto for Windows virtual memory (file). By default, it will be implemented, with the installation of the OS, which will be managed dynamically (size of the BONE by need) and will also be located on C:\. On all my computers, I put the management of the files of static Page and size it, as is required. I do it before I add other data/programs on the disk where to find, so that it will be created in the same place at or near the outside of the disc and is created at startup at this location, so that it doesn't get fragmented, nor moved.

• Adobe CS4 Illustrator freezes in OS 10.11.6 El Capitan?

  I am using OS 10.11.6 El Capitan and when I start a file in Illustrator CS4 file shows, but all the Illustrator application is frozen. Can't even move the window. So I have to exit the application. This has happened when I upgraded from the previous operating system. I trashed the Illustrator preference (.plist). It made no difference. I trashed the Adobe font cache. It made no difference. Anyone had this happen? And if so, is there a work around?

  More that likely Illustrator CS4 is not compatible with El Capitan and you will need to upgrade to a version that is.
