  The message that the photos cannot be read means that you don't have WRITE permission in the Destination folder.

  So, first determine which is selected as the Destination folder in the dialog box import (it's on the right, under Destination)

  Then change the permissions to that SPECIFIC folder so that it now has write permission. (Or change the Destination to a folder that has write permission)

  1. go in Lightroom preferences. Predefined settings tab

  2 uncheck the option 'apply auto tone settings '.

  3 restart Lightroom and reimport

  I used 5 Lightroom for a month or two before Lightroom 6 and was to have no performance problems.  My computer is a 2014 15 "MacBook PRo with 16 GB of RAM and discrete GPU.  When you run Lightroom 6, however, the computer is running temperature is extremely hot, lower the CPU load is excessive and battery life (when not plugged in to the power supply) fell by 80%.

  I tried turning off graphics acceleration and it makes no obvious difference.

  Any ideas?

• Cannot open Raw from Sony rx100 iv files in Lightroom 5.7. [was: camera raw support]

  I bought the new sony rx100 iv and took it on a trip.  EU back and I tried to transfer the images raw on my mac. I installed the last update of the El Capitan program for raw camera support. I checked the Sony Web site and found the rx100 iv is taken in charge by El Capitan.  Lightroom is not able to preview or import raw images on my SanDisk SDXC 64 GB card.  I have the reader of cards Hoodman steel USB 3.0 compatible with El Capitan. I have 5 Lightroom and checked these latest available updates which there are not.  The last update, I installed was version 5.7.

  Help, please.

  LR is made by Adobe. El Capitan is an Apple product, Mac OS computer.

  You need a newer version of LR. LR 6 or CC with la.4 ou.5/5.1 update.

  The Sony RX100 iv came out about 4 or 5 months ago. LR 5 has been out for 2 years (+/-) and the latest update for it was published there about 1 + year.

  Lightroom use ik om mijn foto bewerken you. sinds lightroom 6 er geks iets gebeurd. ALS ik na het importeren in lightroom een foto aanklik, dan gaat hij die foto openen, if even, dat maar hij die foto ready has f is foto scherper even in wat meer helder dan het final results. ALS ik daarna foto ga bewerken, dan komt het allemaal wel weer goed, maar het is lastig om kwaliteit van of I foto you heel, die ja zie owner not als I foto bewerkt would.

  My first thought is to try to disable the GPU acceleration in the Preferences, tab performance dialog box.
