For home sharing work, ATV and iTunes must be on the same Apple ID This does affect airtime. Check the ID on your iTunes. You can find information here for help with home - sharing Apple support. Moreover, the firewall of the router, which focuses on internet traffic has nothing to do with it. The Windows Firewall must open certain ports to allow communication between different machines.

  • Home sharing does not

House-sharing worked well for awhile, but now when I try to access home sharing on my iPad app videos I get the small circle load to half way then I get a message that home sharing cannot be loaded.

I did the following to try to solve the problem...

    1. reboot all my devices (iPads, iPhones and ATV 3).

    2. close iTunes on my Mac Mini

3 restart my Mac Mini and restart iTunes, making sure that his signature in the home sharing (and ensuring that all devices are also signed in the House sharing)

    5 reboot the router; and

    6. I tried ethernet and Wi - Fi with the ATV

  • Apple TV and home sharing does not connect

Hi all. Vocation of the Ireland! I have just registered to a local Irish Internet provider and was provided with a Cisco EPC3925 router. Wireless works great for laptop and iPad. However I can't share my iTunes library with Apple TV. I plugged the Ethernet cable and it worked perfectly. However, as soon as I log out, so too is home Exchange. I have disabled the windows firewall and completely uninstalled macafee firewall. I'm using windows vista and have the latest version of iTunes installed. Can someone tell what I could do to fix this issue? Preference in simple terms that I'm really not very tech savvy. Thanks in advance. Pat

  • Vista 64 home wireless works not

I was unable to get the wireless working on my Vista 64 Home machine. Both devices are known to work with Vista 64 bit, and the hardware is functional. I tried to install a card PCI of MSI. When it does not. I thought that perhaps the material was bad and I tried installing one of Belkin USB device, which also did not work. I tested the USB on my laptop XP and had no problems with it. It is functional. I did a clean installation of the operating system, and who did not clear the problem up.

The aircraft seemed to be installed correctly, but in trying to "Activate" them, they would not allow (I click on enable, and the unit would continue to say it has been disabled) and I would get an error message just saying there is a hardware problem. I tried to update the drivers. I tried the two for the PCI device pci slots and then all the USB to the USB ports and nothing. I have no problem with other hardware, just the wireless. Is there a setting or a component in Vista somewhere that I'm missing? I can't find anyone else having a similar problem when you use one of these wireless devices. They were able to install and use them in Vista 64 without problem. I don't want to go out and spend money on a 3rd device when question seems to be something of another feature WiFi preventing it from working at all. The NETWORK adapter and modem are working on together. I even tried to disable the wired connection, perhaps thinking that it was stuffy on two courses of activation, but that did not fix the problem.

System: Gateway LX6810 running Vista Home Premium 64-bit

    Tried wireless devices:
BELKIN F5D7050 Wireless G USB (confirmed working on XP laptop hardware)
MSI PC60G wireless Turbo G PCI card (not tested elsewhere, assume is functional, since it is the same problem experienced with the working USB adapter)

I did operate and found that the problem seems to be with Zone Alarm Security Suite. The good news is that this is easily resolved by installing wireless devices before installing ZA. If ZA is already installed, the solution is to uninstall, reboot, install wireless equipment (to confirm that it works of course), then reinstall ZA. ZA commissioning disabling does not work (it must be done in ZA himself. She will not put in service must be disabled the "Selective startup" tool). It must also not be installed at all when the hardware is installed. You can reinstall once you have confirmed that the wireless hardware is installed and functional.

I found a thread somewhere (wish I could remember the link) where people have had the same problem and in some cases change a registry value sets. In other cases, this fix did not work. A lot of people had functional wireless and then lost and pointed out the problem seemed to start after installation or update of antivirus, security, or anti-spyware program but none mentioned Zone Alarm, which is what I use for my anti-badthings. So I decided to see if the problem is a conflict with this software, and of course, that seems to be the case. I've tried different combinations of installation of the equipment with ZA, off and uninstalled. I had both the USB and the PCI to work, but only if I followed this task sequence.

    1. Uninstall ZA
    2 reset
3 equipment wireless, and to confirm the work
    4 reboot
    5 install ZA

For a new installation of the operating system or which 3rd party security software is not already installed, simply jump to step 3. Don't forget to create a restore point after that the wireless works, just in case where.

For people have the same problem, even without ZA specifically, it's certainly worth trying this if the deactivation of elements of commissioning is not the case. I am able to run the software and the wireless at the same time without problem. ZA has just needs to be installed only after the wireless hardware has been installed successfully.

I don't know what it is with ZA and Vista that interact to this. I'll go dig deeper on their forums to see if I can't find other useful information. I am pleased to have the son disappeared again. Cords management is always a problem when you share space with rabbits. :-D

  • Home sharing password

I was under the impression that the Apple ID password and home sharing password were one and the same, however, when I try and connect to the share house I get the message "home sharing could not be enabled because Apple ID or password is incorrect.". My ID never changed and I must admit for several days, I changed my password several times in the hope of being able to connect. The password works with everything except the home sharing.

  • Apple TV in error 'enable home sharing '.

Years, I got an AppleTV on each of our 3 TV.  I have them, then connect via "Computers" to my iMac which is running iTunes and my library of movies more than 2,000 movies.  I've never had a problem with the part 'Computers' on the AppleTV not just have all my movies, music and TV he meet and watch.  However, I just moved and since then almost every time I want to watch a movie on my computer to the AppleTV article it says that my home sharing is not enabled.  Which is not at all the case.  Sharing my house is ALWAYS on.  And I let my iTunes always run continuously (I learned that when I set all this up - it won't work without being on my iMac iTunes).  I had this running correctly for years and now it does not work.  If I go on my iMac and unsleep-so I quit iTunes, then open it again - then everything rises.  It's very embarrassing and I know that's not the way it is supposed to work.  Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thank you!

  • Intermittent home sharing - TS suggestions?

I've read numerous reports online with home sharing being super intermittent. I'm usually pretty good when it comes to troubleshooting, but have found myself confused on this issue. Sharing home worked a lot in the past, but as of recent it has gotten to the point were the video I watch will drop every 5 minutes or so and I have to re connect to the server.

    The installation program looks like

    • Mac Mini Late 2009 (2.26 GHz with 8 GB ram) connected by ethernet an Airport Extreme CA (setting for PPoE)
    • 12 iTunes (the latest version as of 26 September)
    • Mac OS X 10.11.6
    • iPad 2 Air with iOS 10.0.1
    • iPhone with iOS 10.1 + 7
    • All of the devices in question have a static iP (at the lower end of the scale)
    • Also running Mac OS Server on the mac Mini however this has always been the case even when the home sharing works.
Signed and off home sharing on all devices and the problem persists on the iPhone and the iPad that makes me think that it may have something to do with home sharing. Don't forget that I can access my Mac Mini remotely via google remote desktop without interruption since the iPad in the same exact place it is de-energized. Internet abandon, however home sharing does. She also is de-energized at random points in the video, if I had to watch the video again, it would be a different point, so doesn't seem to be a problem with the file.

OK so I solved my problem, the issue seemed to come from my mac sharing the iTunes Media folder. I turn off file sharing and it seemed to have solved the problem.

  • ATV 4 Home sharing

Other owners ATV4 still encounter home sharing questions? People send feedback to Apple on the subject?

I hope that the last update would have fixed the problem but it didn't. Instead, the ATV4 collects only dust like using the Roku is less boring that restart the ATV4s every time I want to connect to the share of the House and the Sling on Roku app flow is much better than the ATV.

Home sharing works well for me. What problem do you have with him?

  • Home sharing music ios 9

I know it has been abolished in ios 8 and had no luck with the support of apple in getting working from itunes on the PC to one of my apple products

    Someone knows why?

    Thank you

House retutned of sharing in the iOS 9.

You need to activate in iTunes on your computer and IOS in the application settings under music and video settings activate the function home sharing.

You must make sure to keep iTunes on your computer for home sharing work between your computer and the iDevices.

    Good luck!

  • Home of the iTunes sharing works on Mac, not on iOS

    Hello

I'm trying to use home sharing to play music from the iTunes library on my Mac on my iOS devices, but it does not work. The devices that I use are a Mac Mini Sierra, who has my iTunes library, a 5 c with iOS 10.0.2, iPhone an iPad 2 running iOS 9.3.5 and a MacBook Pro 2011 Sierra running. I have iTunes running on the Mac Mini, with home sharing enabled. The MacBook Pro, I can see and play the shared library. I am connected to the same on all devices iCloud account, and I am connected to home sharing within the parameters of the music on the two devices with the same account. All devices are connected to the same WIFI network to a router TP-Link Archer C7. On the iPhone with iOS 10, home sharing must be one of my options when you click the library, but it is not. On the iPad with iOS 9.3.5, home sharing should appear in the dropdown at the top of the screen my music, but it does not appear. I tried to turn home sharing and turn it back on to the host computer, turning home sharing and turn it back on client devices, restart the host computer and restart client iOS devices. In addition, I tried this on a 4th generation iPod Touch (does not work) and MacBook Air my wife (works). Why is it not this work for my iOS devices?

I thought about it. In addition to activating iTunes home sharing preferences on the host computer, you must also go to file > home sharing > turn on home sharing and enter your iTunes account information. I doesn't make sense to me that you would have to enable home sharing on two different places to do work with different types of devices, and there is no explanation for this data in the documentation I've seen.

  • ATV 4 Home sharing not showing upward after 10.11.14 / iTunes 12.3.3

I don't know which update borked... my home iTunes 12.3.3 or El Cap 10.11.14 sharing capabilities. House share used to work before each update. I've tried everything. Does not appear in iTunes, my ATV4 or one of my iDevices. Sharing used to be an option on my iOS devices, but even this is no longer an option because it does not have access.

Can anyone help? I can't look at one of my home movies, etc..

    Thanks in advance!

They are all using the same Apple ID and password?

    Read here:

    Content stream using home sharing

You can listen to music, movies, TV shows, photos, and other iTunes content from a computer or device to your Apple TV iOS. The device and the Apple TV must be configured to use the same iTunes account.

Set up a computer. In iTunes, go to file > home sharing and select turn on home sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password, and then click Activate home sharing.

Note: In Windows 7 and Windows 8, the iTunes menus are hidden by default. To temporarily display, press the ALT key.

Configure an iOS device. Go to settings > settings or videos > music and activate home sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password.

Configure your Apple TV. On Apple TV, in middle , go to accounts > home sharing. Turn on home sharing, then enter your Apple ID and password.

Broadcast content on Apple TV. Once you have configured all your devices using the same Apple ID, select computers on the Apple TV home screen, and then tap on the contact surface. Libraries from your shared devices appear, and you can view or play any content of any library.
