Horizontal lines on HP B209a photo print quality

HP B209a printer

Windows 7

HP print cartridges

HP premium photo paper 240 brilliant gms A$

When you print pictures I get lines1.3cms parallel horizontal apart all the way to the bottom of the image.

the lines are the same color, but darker than the background color on the photo (dark blue color on the blue part of the image, yellow dark on the yellow parts of the image, etc.

I ran the cleaning of the print head, and I downloaded the utility of solving problems and running, but no improvement.

Can anyone help please

Cleaning the print heads seems to have solved the problem (this is a very messy job)

Thank you

Nothing on this page that you linked to, adapted to my problem.

I just changed a new toner, and after 75 pages or more, I have yet to see this horizontal line randomly. It was printing on pages 5 to 8 or more, then it is a fairly representative sample.

It is strange, however, assuming that it is the toner. I got about 1000 pages out of it, maybe less, but it is a bit disappointing. I put in when I am done with this new toner, just to get my money, but still...

  • horizontal lines appeared on my photos

Printer HP Officejet Pro 8100 using HP Advanced glossy and compatible ink paper now produces horizontal lines through photos. Can you help me please?

    Hello YLJ,.

Possible solutions to your problem depends on how resembles horizontality. If they are thin white stripes then to clean the cartridge/printhead via the software could be a solution because it is not unlikely that it is caused by damaged/clogged nozzles on the print head. If scratches are more like pattern of dark/ligher thicker 'lines', then by changing the print to high quality would be a more likely solution.

  • horizontal lines appear in the photos when printing

I'm having a problem with printing photos in an indesign document.  When photos, jpeg files, are placed in the document and printed, there are small black lines that travelled horizontally through photos to a half inch.  These lines run through only the photos, not the rest of the document, and they do not appear when the photos are printed separated, and not in an indesign document.  This may be the cause?  Is there a guide that I accidentally put under tension which might be the cause?

Thanks for any help on this matter.

What version of InDesign and operating system? InDesign is fully patched?

  • Placed in ID photo print quality support

I'm redesigning a menu bar to the restaurant I work as an accountant. I have already received a huge help here with other issues and I'm down to the last hurdle. Inside covers the fault of owners photo of the staff with the text "come and meet a friend...". "I received an email from the original photo that was 32 inches wide and 24 inches high in resolution 72. I copied the original photo and resized copy in photoshop to the right size for the menu about 4 x 5 to 200 resolution page and basic corrections like the shadow and highlights and levels in the setting menu. (I'm not qualified in the field correctional photo.) I studied photo discussions in the forum ID and came across a couple with suggestions I've tried.

The suggestion of exporting to a PDF file and printing greatly improved the quality of the photo but the oraexamplepost.jpgnge border on the top and the much lighter printed text, which means it will not work with other pages. I use CS2 version and I am not competent in color management, but it is said in ID CS2 a consistent color management between the programs.

My printer is an Epson R2400. The file that I attached is a scan of printed material and I hope that the Visual for the spectators is good enough to see what I mean. The paper is cream colored card stock which is then laminated to protect overturned drinks etc, so I do certainly not excellent photo quality printing, just acceptable.

    Thank you in advance.

    Ok.

I can say with some degree of certainty that the problem with this page is no more (when you make your PDF) you use a parameter that allows to convert to CMYK, in which case you must re-export and change the output for the Conversion of colors No. or (when you print directly from ID) you need to change the print settings of the default "Optimized subsampling" to 'ALL' in the field of data transmission the graphic part of the print dialog box.

  • Poor quality HP 7520 and horizontal lines

I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7520, some printed photographs and was very happy with the results.  I was already part of a series of photographs printed approximately two weeks ago and decided to print another.  The result was poor with horizontal lines, getting more lowest wide printing.   I feel like a sheet of foolscap.  I went in thinking tests align printer and print quality verification and they looked very good.  Another test print is perhaps worse.

The printer reports that my ink black print, not the photo, became weak.  All the other inks were very good.

I checked your question and answers and therefore decided to uninstall and reinstall the printer I have this week had an upgrade to broadband and thought that there is a problem.  This task achieved I did the self test as requested and the result was first class, but it was of course on the smaller size paper.

An impression more away from the same photograph was worse before she looked like a negative, but in color and with only skin correct tones.

I would appreciate your help as I just upgraded to print photographs as old man... was excellent for doing everything else.

    Hi Salty39,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the print quality of your print output.  I see that you said that you have recently purchased this unit. I was wondering if you are still using the configuration supplied with the printer cartridges? If so, please note that these ink cartridges are designed only for a limited number of printing just to set up the printer and if you do photo printing, photo, use a good amount of ink. Please also note that HP printers have built in surge protector and if you have the printer connected to a power strip/bar, the printer will not get all the power it needs to function properly and cela could be another reason why you are having quality problems. Here is a document that explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

Please respond with an operating system that you run and I'll be happy to find more resources about it if the steps that I have outlined have not solved the problem.

Photos printed on our 7640 desire come out cloudy even if they were taken with a quality camera and displayed on the computer screen into bright colors. We have installed new ink cartridges and verified that the photo paper is loaded correctly. Are the only parameters that seem to affect the photo printing quality (normal selection or the best gives the same print quality) and "sharpen for printing" (checking and unchecking this box will give the same result). What other options are there to improve the photo print quality?

  • What are these horizontal lines on my pictures?

    Hi people,

I just got myself a new computer which is stronger and I just finished moving all the old files on your old computer to the new.

I opened Adobe Preimere Pro and found that some of my pictures have these horizontal lines on them (see photo).

Everything is fine but when the time bar goes to the images, everything's in black only.

How can I fix? What is the problem?

    Thank you!

In fact, these diagonal lines indicate that the source of the layer footage is shorter than indicated in the timeline panel.

This happens usually if you placed footage in the timeline and the subsequeently Cup for example with an external editor, AE and re-imported the shorter material under the same name.

To lose the diagonal lines, went to slide the end of the placeholder timeline left (for garnish) until they are.  .

  • horizontal lines when printing photos

I have an Officejet Pro 8600. When I print photos I threw 3 lines horizontal light through the photos on 1/4, 1/2 & 3/4 to the bottom of each photo. I changed to the best print quality and personalized and always get the lines.

I would like to look at this here document that addresses the issues of print quality for your printer model.  As soon as you select your operating system, so that it will drop down give information on how to address the shortcomings of production for the printer.  Down on this page, it will be an example of a picture with horizontal lines. From there, it will tell you how to solve the problem.  Once the solutions you mentioned to change the print settings. But there are other things to try listed after this one. I hope this helps.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 6978: Horizontal lines in printing photos on paper photo with HP OfficeJet Pro 6978

I bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 today and implemented according to the instructions.  I loaded with premium photo paper more HP and proceeded to print a photo from my Mac.  As he came on the printer it has horizontal lines there.  I read somewhere on the forum that it could be a software problem, so I went to my computer to Microsoft and tried to print the same image using OS 7 and the results are the same.

After reading some of these other forums, I pulled the plug and has waited a few minutes and plugged back in and the problem was solved!

  • Lines on photo prints

Printing photos I downloaded photography sites works very well, but when I print jpg images from my own camera, there are three or four horizontal lines on the image. This started happening several weeks ago and now it happens regularly.

Given that the other print image files does not produce these lines, it is apparently not the printer. I guess that's a setting or something I need to change in the file itself. OfficeJet 6500 has more, Win7, photos taken with a Nikon Coolpix.

    Ideas, solutions?

    Thanks for the reply, Cheetah.

Here's what I realized was happening: the program I use FastStone Image Viewer, by default of best in normal, same when I left the open program between the printing of two different jpg. This is not what happens in my word-processing program or in Adobe Reader - the last used quality setting stays as is until you change or close and reopen the program - so it didn't occur to me what was going on in FastStone.

I checked the settings in the program to see if there is an option to maintain the setting last used quality and there are not - or if there is, I can't find. There are settings easy to find for the default image position and the default file for a program to open file, so I think that this other default is simply not available.

But it is not serious. Now that I am aware of the problem, I remember re - define for each print. Thanks for your help.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: Poor print quality Photo

  • HP Envy 4504: Envy 4504 photo prints too red with print quality = better

    Hello

    I hope someone can help.

On my HP Envy 4504 photos are printed OK print normal quality, but when the print quality is set to best photos are printed to the red. In addition, with DPI Maximum printing photos are much too red.

This takes place two times printed on paper Normal and on Photo paper

With the GIMP, I tried to make an example of how a photoprint looks like.

I made the example by changing the color Balance: Red cyan - about + 40:

    (my GIMP is Dutch...)

    Here is the result:

LEFT: Photo printed in normal quality; Photo on the RIGHT printed in better quality:

I have already completely remove the software HP Envy and did a clean reinstall. No change.

I have print-head - cleaning cycles (2 times); color of HP-testprint strips looks very good: all are strong in alignment is correct

Unfortunately: No picture change in best quality still too red.

    The ink levels are okay.

Any suggestions what is wrong and what can solve this problem?

    Thank you for your support

You use genuine HP cartridges or refills?

None of your ink cartridges are low or empty?

In the meantime, please make sure that all the steps in this guide, fixing poor print quality are executed. And let me know what happens!
