Host process has stopped

I get this message and on the process host for windows services has stopped working. It is said in the crash app SVChost.exc event log. How can I fix it? Help, please

Hello Karen,

I have a few options for you:

1 you can try the system restore. restore it to the State before the problems started, if it is still possible.

2 you can try a scanner to find all threads on your computer:

http://www.SUPERAntiSpyware.com/ (free Version).

If this does not help, you can always try this one:

I have a Lenove with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit of the system.  Yesterday I got stuck in a loop while looking for a dog boarding on Google.  I had to do a system shutdown to break out of the loop.  Since then, I get the message: «Host process for Windows services has stopped working...» "Also, I heard the music or script play twice since then and did a reboot to get rid of the problem.  I don't know that it will continue if I do not resolve what has caused the problem initially.  Also, I went into the control panel one checked all the sound icons and they are all OK.

I'd appreciate if someone could give me some instructions on how to solve these problems.  Thank you!!

  • Winows host process has stopped

How can I fix the problem of windows process

    Hi mutty,.

    1. when the question is is produced?
    2. you remember of any change to your computer before the problem?
    3. do you get this error when you access a particular application?

Search for related errors in the Event Viewer (System and Application logs).

This error seems to occur because of an incompatibility between a program on your computer and Windows Vista. It could be a large number of different applications, so you must first determine which program is causing the problem. You can do this by consulting the event on your Vista machine logs.

It can also be caused by an incompatible driver installed on Windows.

    Hello riondet,.

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

How long did you receive these error messages?   Did you change your operating system before thses errors?  All new software/hardware installed or new Windows updates?

It seems that a dll is missing. You can fix it easily if you have a vista bootable disk.  Just boot from the disk and click on repair your computer and then click on start option repair and it will do the rest.

or, if the problem is not resolved, then insert the vista dvd and then open the command prompt as administrator, and then run the following command...

    C:\sfc scannow

    and then press ENTER.

When I log on my computer, a window opens in two separate occasions stating that Catalyst Center: the host application has stopped working... How can this be repaired?

    Hi Missy,

This probably isn't a problem MSE or malware.  It could be a problem with the video software (which is otherwise commonly) and I have it on my system as well for my ATI graphics card.

This just started recently - as the last day or more?  If so, try a system restore to before it started to see if that helps. If you use Windows 7, seehttp://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, seehttp://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084. Sometimes this simple process made the rounds and sometimes that doesn't help - but it is easy and worth if she has recently begun.

    Good luck!

Catalyst Control Center. The host Application has stopped working, it is looking for a solution.

A new installation of the driver graphics card and Catalyst Control Center has not changed. Instead, a standard Microsoft graphics card driver is installed.
Reset of the system for the month of October has also asked nothing, after fresh updates, the problem recurs.
    Is it reproducible.

Have already reported more customers or I'm the first?

What can you do to the problem?

    Sincerely,

    CBluebaerchen

    Hello

    > Reset of the system for the month of October has also asked nothing, after fresh updates, the problem recurs.
To do this the display of Windows Update driver update?

If so, restore the system to an earlier point and disable this update of the display driver and choose only the updates of Windows. That s enough.

Otherwise, you can try running CCleaner. It can clean and fix registry problems.

I googled for this error message and found many people having this problem.
It s not related to the laptop, but for the driver
    Who knows why.

In any case, in most cases the people solved this problem by the new driver Catalyst installation.
    You should do this;
