Hotmail does not properly in Firefox

Hey people,

This morning I can't open any messages or folders in Hotmail. It was working fine last night. Everything looks like normal (although I noticed that ads on the side load is no longer?) and messages appear in my Inbox as usual. However, if I click on messages in the Inbox or you try to select another folder on the left, there is no error messages or pop-up windows, everything that happens is literally nothing. The message looks like it is selected in the Inbox link when I click on it, but it never loads... the same browser never shows that load the folder or message. Browser is Firefox 12. It works fine in Internet Explorer (which I hate).

I tried on three different computers, two running Windows XP Professional with SP3, with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with SP1, all three 12 of Firefox running. Hotmail works very well with them in IE, but not Firefox. Tested also 12 of Firefox on a machine of Puppy Linux 5.28 with Hotmail and who has worked surprisingly well.

I tried to clear the cache and cookies completely and Hotmail still not working properly... I think remember me something like this is happening before, but I don't remember how I got it... all other fixed sites on work computers perfectly, only Hotmail is acting weird and has been doing for 4 hours about now.

.. .anybody have thoughts?

EDIT - I should also mention that I does no update, no plugins installed addon or whatever it is in no way changed since it has been changed to work properly on all computers.

EDIT #2 - I tried to start Firefox in Mode safe mode with all disabled... same question, Hotmail does not work.

    Hotmail this week updated their website, since then on Firefox, I can't seem to open, delete, compose, or do something with my emails. All I can do is to get into the Inbox and it is. I've been on Safari and seem to get all my emails as usual. Is that what I can do to fix this?

    Moderator edit: This problem is caused by the current version of Foxit Reader. Foxit is aware of the problem and are working on a fix. At this point, you must roll back to an older version of Foxit to solve the problem. See this thread:

    Firefox itself up-to-date version 23 and since Hotmail does not appear correctly. I tried in IE and Chrome, and that's fine. I tried troubleshooting suggested, but nothing has worked.

    You can try the basic steps like these in case of problems with web pages:

    Reload Web pages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

    • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

    Clear the cache and cookies from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Transition slide show works not properly in Firefox

    I built a website in Muse. It has several slide shows which one on the home page. The transition is defined for each image and a second fade 2 shows 5 seconds between transitions. The slide show with transitions melted looks great in IE, Chrome, and Safari browsers. The problem in Firefox (ver. 35.0.1), is that the transition is not working properly. In Firefox, when the transition period begins the first picture quickly disappears and only the first half or more of the following image is displayed until the transition period is over and then the rest of the image appears in the display - no or very little fading. This is repeated in most of the image in the slideshow transition periods. I tried to vary the transitional periods and other parameters of time for the slide show with no solution to this problem.

    I spoke with two people using Adobe over the last two weeks. Two of them have seen and confirmed the problem. Neither one could help and suggested that I put this on the forum here. I even downloaded all my files site Web of Muse, because they asked, watching and they have not responded with any help.

    I am ready to go live with my Web site but I retain to see if this can be resolved. It nervous me that does not work in Firefox, because a lot of people use this browser.

    Hi, I found the problem with my client's site - it was the photos. They were not optimized for web use. I don't know why the cursor worked perfectly before, but still...

    I just opened all the photos in Photoshop and clicked on file > save for Web (Ctr Shift Alt for Windows) and Cmd Shift Option for Mac, the downloaded on the site again and this is! Problem solved. I don't know if there is a faster way to optimize them for web use, but that worked for me.

  • Whenever I run Safari my fan comes at top speed and gets hot.  This does NOT happen with Firefox

    Since I upgraded to El Capitan, when I launch Safari, my fan is running hot, CPU goes into battery and use 100% drops quickly.  This does NOT happen with Firefox.

    Force Quit Safari and then restart Safari while holding down the SHIFT key. This will launch Safari without plugins or extensions. If works in Safari you have to remove all extensions you have installed and reinstall better one at a time until you find the offending Safari extension.

    The last review of the user of this extension mentions that he does not work in Firefox 35.     Having a strange problem with firefox - simple click will not open links - always needs a double click (even one with a long delay between the first and second clicks) to navigate. This problem started a month ago. I have used firefox for years without encountering this problem.

    Apart from firefox (including Windows, IE...) this problem will not occur. Interestingly, the problem also does not occur in firefox toolbars, menus, etc. It seems that for the links...

    For others who may be in the same boat: culprit has been found - Webroot filtering Extension (v1.0.2.42). I use Webroot as my antivirus and installed their firefox search engine 'screens' results link extension

    I think it's maybe a recent update to this extension, which is the issue that I think I've been using this extension for more time that I had the problem... In any case, problem resolved once off extension. It's a shame, as I've found most useful.

    On Mac, scroll bars may be hidden and are showing them when you scroll down the page, so you can see the current scroll position.
    The idea is that a Tablet is used that does not need to be visible and therefore more screen real estate for the navigation area, scroll bars.
    You can make scroll bars always appear:

    • System Preferences > General > display the scroll bar > choose "always."

    Note that on Mac you can turn on or off the mode full screen with command + SHIFT + F.

    With a .html page, it is impossible to include the HTTP headers in the page. It should be in a file external to the page setup (unless you have a very unusual configuration on your server).

    On an Apache Server, the headers are sometimes defined in a file .htaccess at the root of your site. If you view the site in an FTP program or extension, make sure that hidden files are displayed.
