Housing location on A60 Equium memory module?

Hi there, I was just wondering, I have an equium A60 and need to know where the crack is to the memory modules inside the laptop?

Can someone help me with this one?

Hello

I agree with Willow. Your device has 256 MB of internal memory. Upgrading memory, there is just a slot available. According to the specification your device can handle with max 1280 MB and you can use the other additional 1 GB module to use memory maximum memory compatible Module are
PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

Good bye

    Hello

Well, you're first time here in the forum ;) Welcome!

Now to your question. AFAIK the Equium A60-692 was delivered with an internal memory of 256 MB. This module cannot be deleted.
Additional memory location is available and you can upgrade the memory for max 1280MB (256 MB + 1024 MB) in this case, you can use a 1 024 MB module.

You use PC2100 DDR - RAM memory modules.
Also, I found one that you can use without any problems. The reference is: 1024Mo PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

    Hello

In my opinion, the lower value of the memory appears in the properties of the BONE because of the graphic card of 64 MB shared memory.
This card use a part of the main memory and so you will get a different memory value.

If you add the 64 MB to the 448MB you get 512 MB. So everything is ok with you memory modules.

Im looking for memory, I can use on my Satellite A50-100.
Is it possible to expand my internal memory with a standard 1 GB-Dimm DDR Pc2700?

    Hello

I think you mean the common memory modules and memory no internal.
The A50-100 doesn't support internal memory.
This laptop supports locations memory simple towing and both are expandable.

So now for the decision-making modules support:
You can use the PC2700 DDR - RAM and these are compatible:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
    1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

  • Dimension 5150 - ideal for the installation of extra memory Modules

    Greetings-

I'm looking for advice on the ideal placement of some extra memory modules.  My intention is to increase the original 2 x 512 MB memory by adding 2 x 1 GB which should theoretically give me a total of 3 GB.

Currently, my Dimension 5150 has a module of 512 MB at the location 1 and another in the Groove 3.  My dilemma is - in which slots should I put the additional modules of 1 GB?

For more efficiency and recognition, it would be preferable to use connectors 1 and 3 for modules of 1 GB and then move the 512 MB modules in slots 2 and 4... or should I just go ahead and put the two new modules in the slots of alternative 2 and 4?

The optimal placement tips will be appreciated.

I have a penchant for this old DELL PC, who recently returned to me after many years and I would use it in the company of another DELL later models... because its worth it.

    Best regards, Vicko

If I did that, I pull the current memory, install the new memory and run some diagnostics above to ensure that the new memory is good.

I then add the memory current po and run diagnostics and ensure that games memory agree between them.

I've had times where bad corresponding memory worked well and moments where he does not understand that is why I suggest this approach.

It must be PA3513U-1M2G. Please check whether this module is compatible with your model of laptop. I think so.

In any case I recommend to buy products of high quality like Kingston modules.

    Hello

It of not difficult to remove or Exchange the memory modules because you only check Chapter 8 and 9 of your owner's manual. In the user manual, you can find a detailed explanation how to do this with a few photos and what you need to the modules of RAM.

    Check this box!

    Hello

You can easily remove the memory modules.
I think that the Bay is placed at the bottom of the unit.
Remove the screw that is blocking the Bay, and you will have access to the module.

Here is a video of how do this on another Satellite L500 laptop. But the procedure is not very different on Tecra R10

  • Tecra 8100 memory module questions

Does anyone know if the ram PC133 144 pin for the Tecra 8200 can be used in the Tecra 8100? I think that the Tecra 8100 usually takes PC100 144 pin but I'm having a hard time getting suppliers to tell me about the PC133 so (probably because it is half the price).

    512 MB DDR2-533 PA3412U - 2 M (51)

    Hello

Unfortunately I don't have any specific information, but I am 99.9% certain that this unit is equipped with a single module of RAM and you can use a second with 512 MB or even 1 GB module. The memory modules compatible Ram for your device are:

    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
    1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

  • Question about the use of the memory modules

I have a dilemma between the use of a new 1 GB memory (what I intend to buy) with more speed
and by using the 1 GB + my old 256 with less speed
    which option will contribute more?

    Hello

The fact is that if you use 2 different memory modules with different properties (of lower performance) so the laptop can run with lower performance. This means that the 256 memory module slows down you memory. The best way is to use the same modules having the same properties.
