How a search by username?

Hello:

There are a lot of collective wisdom in the old posts on the forums of these wonderful. However, I cannot understand is how do to search for old messages that are responses to a large number of major issues. Can someone guide me how to search for messages by user name? Just by typing a user name in the search window gives nothing, but I know there are a lot of previous posts there.

Thank you!

  • How to search a folder WITH ITS subfolders in Windows7 please?

When I run a search in Windows 7, is sought in one folder at a time.  How to expand a search in a folder and all its subfolders?  Vista does this automatically; Windows 7 does not seem to do.

    Thank you!

OK, here's the scoop. If you are looking for a folder selected in sub folder "Libraries" (Documents, videos, music, photos, etc.) it does not seek to subfolders. I don't know why, but if you go to your "C:\Users\'username" "" and open the required folder (or even just in your record of the United Nations), it will search subfolders. I think it's either a bug, or because the library is just a ghost for a group name, the search does not work. You must be directly in the folder, or directly above him, not in a version of windows 'cloud' of it as those in libraries.

Sorry if this is hard to follow, I'm one more irritable than to a teacher. Hope this helps

Research on a page is actually very easy. You can simply press CTRL + F to use the search feature. You should take a look at the article in the Knowledge Base on How to search the contents of the current for text or links page for more information.

In the debug command, how to search for a text string?

I tried both a mystring' and 'mystring' ' does not.  They return all two syntax errors ("^ error").

"According to aid debugging (" "?" command "), the syntax is the list of the range".  Note that no argument is indicated as optional.

If I enter a range, what is the syntax in general?  And what is the syntax for 'all '?

    I tried * 'mystring' ' does not.  I get the syntax error (' ^ error ") pointing on «*»

And what is the syntax for the 'list', in particular to specify a text string?

  • How to search brackets?

    Greetings,

How to search for a file that contains parentheses? I need to search for files that include the following three characters: '(2) '. But the research does not take into account my bracket and back everthing with a '2' in it. I tried to put my search in quotes, but it did not help.

    Thank you

... In addition, the quotes are foreign and can be left.
~ is the literal string indicator and the following must match name of entire file that's why the asterisks were included. You can also do the following:
    ~*(2)*
    ~ * (2) .doc
    ~ this_is_my (2) .doc
    ~ th? s * (2). ???
    Tim

I just moved to a new laptop and ended up a load of pdf files which ended with .pdf (2) at the end of the duplication. I wanted to select them all and delete easily and am glad I found this thread. I want to clarify that the parenthises are necessary.

I tried searching for ~ * .pdf (2), but this did not bring the desired results. Research has everything I was looking for, but it also includes many more results than I expected not to appear. Know people with 2 anywhere in the file name. Examples that have been posted in the included results files ending with things such as:

    2 RD30.pdf
    question 2
    Volume 2 number 5. PDF

By using the term search in quotes, ie. ~ "* (2)".pdf"has worked in the way I wanted to and grown only duplicate files I was looking for."

  • How to search the file using the keyword under Windows 7?

I search the file with ABC as a keyword in the file name in the D: drive and would like to know how to search on Windows 7.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions :>

Maybe all you want to do is to go in drive D itself (click here to open a window for her) and access the white search in the upper right of this window, where there is a small magnifying glass showing.  To limit the search file name, you can enter:

    name: abc

If you want to search independently incorporated between the other letters abc, enter:

    name: ~ = abc

  • How to search for a Word document in Windows 8?

I'm stumbling around Windows 8 that came pre-loaded on my new laptop.  I ordered Windows and Excel to be included in the package.  I saved a number of documents in Word, and now I need to get these documents for a particular.  I looked on the Internet and found a lot of no-help, that is to say, 'go in search of a file'.  Excuse me, but if I could find searching a file, I could probably find out how to search for the file, Huh?  Thus,.

Could someone please help me with: how to find a Word document (1) and (2) where is the infamous "search"?

I did the thing 'sweep to the right side of the screen"to get those things shadow to appear, and click on the magnifying glass (which I think the engineers forgot to change when they changed everything!) and if I wanted to search for apps, I'd be in great shape.  But his files I'm looking for, Word documents.  The designers of this 'new' version improved - well, new, in all cases seem to have forgotten those of use who use computers for productive work and not socialize or play games.

Sorry for the hike and whining, but I'm very frustrated that the tasks that were once very simple are now extremely difficult to fill.

It's pretty easy, at the beginning screen just type the name of your document and right it will bring the search screen and you select files (files, settings, Apps). Take a look at:

A scanned document is an image; You can't find a picture.

If the image contains text, recognition of characters (OCR) will convert the 'text' in the image in real text (searchable, editable).

OCR can be performed automatically when converting a PDF to Word, using the ExportPDF service.

To run OCR inline in a PDF document, you will need Acrobat.
