How can I actually protect the operating system of my computer?

At the time when I turn on my computer there is what is supposed to be "updated" something MicroSoft.  In other words, someone just hacked into my
computer and is committed to change the operating system on my computer.  I would like to prevent this.  How then?

It is probably not a hacker but instead MS just the things you really need to update as a security update.

You can disable updates, but it will more vulnerable and lead to instability.

    1. you receive an error message when you start in safe mode or normal mode?

If you have access to the internet in safe mode with network, then you will need to scan the computer to remove all infections from the computer and check if that helps.

Internet Explorer is a Web browser, not an e-mail program... To send messages, you need an e-mail account and the recipient needs an e-mail account. You need to know your email address and you must know the e-mail address of the recipient.

  • Where is the peripheral origin obsolete event ID 370 print spooler? Obsolete device can be removed from the operating system?

I get a recording of event ID 370, about once every four days, what about the EPSON Stylus COLOR 460 printer ESC/P 2. I recognize the device as an old device, which is no longer necessary, that I thought was completely uninstalled years ago and I am slightly surprised to see that the tracks still on the computer, or not, as it appears.

It is that I don't know if this record event was caused by a device driver package or the registry keys and values? Is the event ID 370 caused by or for both (device driver package / registry values) being obsolete?

I have the old appliance any longer, so it seems sensible to remove traces of the system and in turn eliminate the causes of event ID 370. However, to find all traces causing the registration of the event? What traces can be removed without problem?

1 today, this device does not show as a device available in display devices and printers to devices and printers.

2, I was unable to see a name similar unused volume in trying to remove the old device (when looking faded icons in the branches of the Device Manager with emphasis on -pilot no Plug and Play, other devices, portable devices, Port (COM & LPT), Printers).

3 reveals regedit there are registry keys and values in the registry that reference naked always at "EPSON" searches for the word. Yes, I have reason to assume that these registry keys and values have caused event ID 370? Is it safe to delete the registry entries, or should the registry key entries to receive new values? (I don't want the deletion of these registry values to cause instability in the print spooler.)

    Event ID 370 Description:
The print spooler could not regenerate printer driver information for driver Epson Stylus COLOR 460 ESC/P 2 for Windows x 64 environment. Win32 system 2114 error code (0 x 842). This can happen after an upgrade of the operating system or due to loss of data on the hard drive.

Search for "EPSON" in regedit concludes:

  • How can I transfer my XP operating system on a hard disk new?

I am running XP and want to transfer all the files (including the operating system) to a new 2 TB hard drive. In the old days "sys.com" or format/s would. Is there a comparable program?

Most hard disk manufacturers offer a free program designed to transfer the operating system on their hard drive.  Visit the web site of the manufacturer of the new hard drive and search for such a program.

  • How can I remove an unwanted operating system to free up space on my HARD disk almost full

The drive is about 75 GB and has two partitions (C: and D readers :). There is a version of Vista on each partition.  My ultimate goal is to reformat the drive as one partition and reload the operating system, but I have found no way of formatting of disks, holding Vista. Help, please.

    Hello 771,

I don't understand why Windows Disk manager would not allow a partition deletion or reformatting. I use this option during all this time without any problem of "system folders" etc.

Take a look at these two links to my website and see if they help you:

    http://vistasupport.MVPs.org/format_partition_using_vista_dvd.htm

    http://vistasupport.MVPs.org/delete_a_partition_using_the_vista_dvd.htm

Otherwise, you should eb able to erase/format the partition by using a part of htird partitioning application as Paragon Hard Disk manager or something similar.

Paragon do a free Partition Manager (Paragon Partition Manager 11 free), check out the link below.

  • I've had an iPad for when they released first. How can I find out what operating system, I have to be able to update at the following system?

I had an Apple iPad since when they went out first;  How can I know what version I have so I can upgrade to the latest version, I can use?  I also have a desktop computer Apple which is older than the iPad?  Thank you

    Parameters

    General

    On

If you have had since it first came out, then it is very possible that you have a first generation iPad (if your ipad has no camera it's a first gen). If this is the case iOS 5.1.1 is the highest iOS, you can run

If you have a newer version than the one you can do your research. Update to the latest iOS may require that you run the latest version of iTunes, but I know that mac set out operating systems often and cannot run the latest versions. So I would research before accidentally yourself updating you in a corner (some people update their live iPad (which came with iOS 6 I believe) and then find out that their computer can not run the most recent iTunes they need to synchronize their iPad to their mac.)
