  What version of Windows 7 you are running? East - Windows 7 Edition Home Premium, professional or ultimate? In order to get the language packs and functionality you want you will need to have Windows 7 Ultimate. You can use Express Upgrade to get your system back to the ultimate.

  To add items to the taskbar in Windows XP, do one click right, choose Properties, select "Show quick launch", then OK.   In the control panel. Sounds and Audio devices | Volume tab check the box for the volume icon to Place on the taskbar.

  Right click on the taskbar | Properties | Tab taskbar | Customize. Find the "speaker" icon and change the behavior to always show.
