How can I burn a vdeo stored in a file on my computer on a dvd disc?
I've downloaded and saved video files from the internet to my own personal file on my desktop. Now, I try to copy those video files on a dvd - r disc, so I can be played on a standard dvd player, but can not seem to operate. can someone tell me please how to do this?
Windows live Photo Gallery makes it pretty easy to do,
All you have to do is open the videos in wlpg, click the blue button dark on the left upper corner of the screen and point to burn and click on burn dvd, follow the customization of the video or slideshows,
This is probably the easiest program I have ever used, almost easier to fall a newspaper?

It is as a backup, or do you want the emails to be readable on the disk? If the latter, create a folder of Windows on the desktop or elsewhere. Open the WinMail folder and highlight all messages and drag them to the Windows folder. Burn this folder on the disc. You will still need Winmail view, but they will be out of the machine.

How can I burn a movie to a blank dvd when the movie to burn is greater than the amount of space on the blank dvd?
How can I burn a movie to a blank dvd when the movie to burn is greater than the amount of space on the blank dvd?
You could import the movie into Windows Movie Maker, use the 'split' option, split the video to 2 or more smaller movie files, then burn each smaller movie file to separate DVDs.
This would be my method. There may be a better way.

Hello1. How do you try to burn the DVD? You have saved the DVD on the desktop (hard drive) or you burnt before you save it to a DVD?
2. after are burning the DVDs in which application you trying to play?
I suspect that the captions are already burned in DVD, at this point in time we can cross check if the option is set to display captions.
To enable or disable subtitles for DVD
a. on the Windows Media Center start screen, navigate to tasks, click settings, click DVD and then click subtitle.
b. click the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to select power off or when cut, and then click Save. For more information, refer to the article below.

How can I burn mp3 discs?
I burned the cd mp3 on my XP computer using an older version of Nero. I just bought a computer from Windows 7 on which Nero software is not compatible. I tried to burn MP3s to a cd using WMP and found that the files have been converted to a wmp? format, which allows two Old Time Radio shows to be burned to the disc, instead of the entire list of 25 shows, as with Nero. How can I burn mp3 files for mp3 disc?
Hi Mrnno1,
By default, the version of Windows Media Player in Windows 7 is 12. To find out what version of Windows Media player that you use:
- Open Windows Media Player.
- Press Alt keys on your keyboard, you will get the file menu.
- Now, go to the help tab and select on Window Media Player.
- This will give you the version of Windows Media Player.
You can go through the links I gave in the previous post. They have a few videos that will guide you how to burn DVDs using Windows Media Player.
Hope this information is useful.
