  • Schedule 7 - How can I change the proxy ldap user?

    Hello

Because we have to replace our old Calendar Server, I have prepared a new server virtual calendar (vcalendar7).
As we already have a Calendar Server virtual used to test new versions of calendar7 (precalendar7), I created a clone
of it, changed its name, the network settings... and I run init-config.

It seems to work, but when I listed config I see no new proxy user who binds the directory server
has been created. The user is the user created on the test server.

I would like one for the new server.
How can I force the creation during the init-config process?

I tried to change the value of the base.ldapinfo.ugldap.binddn:

    davadmin config change o base.ldapinfo.ugldap.binddn - v "cal-admin - vcalendar7.mydomain.com - 20140419144243Z,...» »

    After a reboot I run init-config

No ldap changes has been generated...

at the end of the initial value reappears: cal-admin - precalendar7.mydomain.com - 20121219144243Z...

    Can you help me?

    Hello

Check the file /opt/sun/comms/davserver/lib/config-templates/DavserverCfg.properties for the cal.enduser.admin.userid of entry. It can still have the old value.

Either change the file to get the correct value or rename/detected file and then restart init-config.

  • How can we change administrator when you buy a used Macbook?

She works on a Macbook OS X Yosemite and the previous owner's name keeps popping up in the Apple ID screen when it tries to update its software and she knows of course its password, so she can't update software.  She has updated the system preferences and signed in iCloud with its own identifier Apple; It is connected with its own iTunes Apple ID, but field-identifying the previous owner Apple when she tries to update the software and what it can not change it... any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

She must remove and re-download these applications and clear the internal drive and install a fresh OS.

  • How can I remove for a standard user desktop icons

OK, so I read a lot but can't seem to find an answer.

What happens when I delete an icon it removes desktop admins too don't all tell you this:

"The items that appear on the desktop can be stored in 2 different places.

    1. the elements of the C:\Users\your utilisateur\Bureau folder appear on that users desktop.

    2. the items in the folder C:\Users\Public\Desktop will appear on all users desktop. »

and if it is in the public move to the admins so the standard can remove it, but I have no 'public' office in this area. And also when I go into the standard user's desktop folder there that google chrome, it shows not all others. So what I was I right click on the icons, I wanted to deleted off of the user's desktop standards and went to properties and saw that it was under "program files." Example, if my mom has an ipod and I don't, I'm perfectly happy with windows media player and I don't want the itunes icon there. Is it possible to remove the icon itunes the Office off a standard user without him deleting admins Office

It's really frustrating, and it's not just itunes I want to disable other programs there. I know that I can choose the option to not show the desktop icons, but I want some, but don't want any other.
I hope this feeling quite: S

Sorry guys, I just worked it :D
I heard it was hidden in windows 7 so I thought well... that could happen with vista too? but I couldn't find anything. so I checked again after properties (instead to go on the shortcut tab, I click on details and it said C:\Users\Public\Desktop, but of course I couldn't see him so I copied and pasted into the small bar (I suppose that as the url bar) and I arrived!

  • How can I change the account administrator to a standard account?

Original title: How can you change your administrator to standard user after you have already chosen administrator?

need to know that I don't know how to change it, it won't let me

    I have to format it?

Why would you want to downgrade your admin account? That would be like throwing the master key for your safety! You must do exactly the opposite: make sure you have two accounts admin fully tested all the time, even you have at least two keys to your home. Anything else is running a great risk - see here.

  • How can I change the name of the user folder on drive C in Microsoft Vista?

Hello. My father bought me a laptop about a year ago and when he started, he was the administrator. I want to change it because it is mine. I went into the Panel and changed the administrator.

When you start the laptop, when you try and you enter in you must click on the name and photo. That's my name.
When you open start, my name is there on the right with its own content of contacts, desktop, documents, downloads, Favorites, links, music, images, games, videos and research.

The problem is when I open my C drive and go to users, there is a folder with the name of my father and the public. If you open the name of my father, it contained contacts, desktop, documents, downloads, Favorites, links, music, images, games, videos and research.

I tried to change it again via Control Panel and just try to rename the folder. None of those who worked.
How can I change my name? Is it still possible?

    Thanks for your help.

Your father apparently just rename her user account with your name. As you have discovered, you cannot change a user account by changing just the name. Simply by changing the name will do a cosmetic change only and does not affect the underlying files/folders in the profile. If it is important for you:

    1. from an administrator account, rename the account she had originally. Then create the new Standard * user account named in the way that you want and at least an additional administrator account. Call the last 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar.
2 log in to the new Standard user account once if the profile of the files/folders are created and then connect to CompAdmin.
    3. now go to control panel > system > advanced > user profile > settings *.
    4. you will see where you can copy user accounts. Copy the old account to the new from there. Use her browse to select your new account (C:\Users\newaccount).
5 log in to the new account correctly named and make sure all your stuff is here and it works as you want. When you are satisfied, you can log on and CompAdmin and remove the old account from the control panel > user accounts.

    * In the course of running as a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. You don't want to run as administrator for your daily work. Keep CompAdmin for your administrative account and use it only for the elevation and emergency situations.

    * If you do not want to bother copying old misnamed account settings, you can skip this bit and simply copy your data to the new user account instead.

If you want to access your account again, correctly named automatically, follow these steps:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    ·         When was the last time it worked?

    ·         You get the error message?

When you open the tab automatic updates in the control panel or My Computer property sheet, all options of configuration of the automatic updates may be grayed out. This happens due to one of the following reasons:

    1. You are not logged as administrator (or equivalent)
    2. Strategy of automatic updates is enabled
    3. Automatic updates (and Windows Update) access is blocked by group policy

The options available for automatic updates.

You must make some changes in the windows registry.

Important: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
