  • Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I wasn't staying on the left (that's why I first open). How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?

Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I want to keep it on the left (that's why I first open).  How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?  I'm talking about the buttons on list of my open applications and documents in Windows Vista.  The bar tasks are "locked", but the button of the window open with gmail in internet explore reappears suddenly in the good moments apparently random.

It is in the middle part of the taskbar (what I found online so far is on the start menu, the quick launch area or area/system tray of notification, the location of the taskbar in full, either about grouping taskbar - I disabled because I would like to separate).  Can anyone help?  I don't understand why this is happening (or why microsoft would never do).

Lock the taskbar that it prevents to be moved elsewhere on the office and maintains the different sections where they are - it does not block the tabs showing what is open where they were when they were opened.  There is no control for this function.  Maybe if you uncheck similar taskbar buttons group it will help, but I honestly don't know (and fear he won't make any difference - it may even make things worse).  This also happens to me and I was unable to find an answer.  I think that there are more than just random, but I can't telll you why he moves the legs periodically (sometimes it works fine all day and other days it happens almost immediately).  But still, there is no control for this function, so there is no way to tell him to keep a specific order or to lock an established order, once it has been created.  I suspect that it happens because the notification area icons appear and hide and new programs open and close and which changes the amount of space available and so he rearranges things so that they match and apparently does not always consider the original sequence in which the elements have been added.  Maybe if you remove the Quick Launch toolbar and then add again, the order will reset (but that I know not - probably not in the original sequence, which I doubt is logged nowhere - it did not work when I tried it).

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to this problem (and I spend a little time looking for even before myselff posed the question) and do not believe that there is a.  It is also unfortunate that you can't move them so they can be put back in the right order if they change.  I don't think that there is nothing wrong with your system or that it is something that can be repaired or fixed - it's just the way it is and we just have to live with it.  I don't know any 3rd party software that controls the order of tabs open in the taskbar program (but you can check out Bing, Gooogle,www.tucows.comand www.download.com to see if I'm wrong on this - here n "t all when I looked trying to solve this problem for my own system).

I'm sorry it wasn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.  I don't know if it's different in Windows 7.

    Good luck!

How can I fix the "drag and drop" feature in Windows 7?  It used to work, but now does not work, for no apparent reason!

What happens when you try?  Make sure you drag the icon image and not the text of the name.

If it still doesn't work there are some registry changes that can try to alleviate the problem.  But because the changes to the registry are tedious and dangerous, I recommend to leave the system to repair it for you.  Here's how:
    1. Type of restore in the search box of the start menu to find and open to restore system files and settings from a restore point.
    2. Click Next, choose a date before the problem started, then click Next once more.
    • This process only takes around 2 minutes and only restores your system files/settings: it will not affect any of your files, documents, photos, emails, or anything else.
If the system restore does not resolve the problem try this to replace missing or corrupted system files.  Here's how:
    1. Type cmd into the start menu search box, and then press Ctrl-Shift-Enter to launch as administrator.
    2. At the command prompt to start the File System Check, type sfc/scannow .
  • How can I move the taskbar back to the bottom?

Help please. How can I move the taskbar to back down on the side?

    Hello

    try to do this:

    To unlock the taskbar

Right-click an empty space on the taskbar. If Lock the taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked. You can unlock it by clicking Lock the taskbar, which removes the check mark.

    To move the taskbar

Click an empty space on the taskbar, and then hold down the mouse button as you drag the taskbar to one of the four edges of the desktop. When the taskbar is where you want it, release the mouse button.

    Note

To lock the taskbar into place, right-click an empty space on the taskbar, and then click Lock the taskbar so that the check mark appears. Locking the taskbar helps prevent it being moved or resized accidentally.

Reformatting a hard drive should be considered a last resort to solve a problem with a computer system. The hard drive can be reformatted and reinstalled the operating system, using the system PC Suite hard disk recovery. Reformatting the hard drive will overwrite all data on the disk. To preserve the data, back up the data of the user as; letters, leaves of calculation, graphics and emails to an external storage device before you reformat the disk. If the PC does not work in the Windows operating system, see reformatting since the recovery disks .
Do the following to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
    1. Connect the PC to the power adapter.
    2. Close all programs.
    3. Click Start , click principally made programs , select System Restore and click on the PC recovery .

    8. Restart the PC when prompted.
As alternative method for the steps above, click Advanced Options , select the destructive recovery option and click Next to begin the reformatting process.
The PC is in original factory State and all data in the system, such as the place and the date must be reconfigured.

NOTE: any software "trial offer" has been included in the original factory image, it will be reinstalled, but it won't work (the test period will have expired).  If so any trial software is a security antivirus software or others, before connect you to the Internet, you must uninstall (using an uninstall tool provided by the manufacturer if available antivirus software) and then install your own anti-virus software.  So, you should download the uninstallers necessary and installers (or buy the software on CD) using another machine before starting this project.

How can I recover the files and programs before a system restore?  my document folders are all empty and my programs will not open!

I know they are there and hidden somewhere, but this restoration took my settings of the computer to 2004! We lost all our data, our software that we use to operate our company at home, our quickbooks that has all our financial data, family photos, videos, Outlook will work not so no e-mail, all turned in time and 6 years ' worth of documents have disappeared.

What happeneded was that I was trying to upgrade to quickbooks software when I got an error, I cancelled out of the facility, then restarted and that's when I got an error hal.dll something? I thought about a system restore would allow me to go back in time to just before when the error occurred, but he basically took my computer back to factory settings, so all the programs that I installed and paid hundreds of dollars for the past six years has disappeared, Microsoft Office and very expensive construction estimating software that we wil have to pay once AGAIN for If I can't get this program working properly.

    I am a fool! I can't believe what's happening.

Someone at - it instructions on how I can retrieve either the programs and data that I need specifically or how to go and seek shade from the files I read online on and restore my computer for about 12 hours ago?

    Thank you all!

Looks like you did a system rather than a system restore recovery.  If you have inserted a disc supplied with your machine and booted from it, you probably erased the disc and installed the original operating system provided with your computer.  Usually, a step in this recovery is to do a full format or quick of your drive.  If you did a full format, your data is permanently lost.  With a quick format, your data may still be there, somewhere but inaccessible by normal means.  Applications must generally be installed, in order to recover the files probably will not help unless you have the original installation media.  Your other data files (images, videos, financial data) may be salvageable, but at this point, it would be advisable to take your computer or your disk to a business/professional who is experienced with data disc recovery.  It will be cheap and there is no guarantee.

Impatient, remember investigate you a backup strategy for your computer and critical data.  Hard drives can go wrong with little or no warning.

    Hi Ron,

You can copy or move information (for example, text and pictures) between files and programs using temporary storage called the Clipboard. The Clipboard is not visible, so even if you use it to copy and paste information, you never actually see the Clipboard when you do this.

The Clipboard contains a block of information at a time. Whenever you copy information to the Clipboard, the old contents of the Clipboard is replaced by the new information.

When you shut down the computer everything is stuck in the memory of the Clipboard is cleared.
