How can I change the download location of the C: drive to the D: drive, I have both on my pc, windows 7 i3

My C drive is full and I have more space in drive D:, but whenever I try to download anything (most particularly important since my bank online) it tells me that my C: drive is full and can not download anything more?  How can I fix?

Thanks, Debi

Hi Deborah,

You use Internet Explorer to access the Web sites?

Perform the following steps to change the location of the download folder, if you are using Internet Explorer 9.

a. open Internet Explorer 9.

b. click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then click on discovers downloads.

NOTE: Alternatively, you can press CTRL + J instead.

c. click the link Options .

d. click on the Browse button.

e. navigate to and select the folder you want IE9 to use as the default download location, and then click the button Select a folder .

f. click on OK.

g. click on Close.

If you want to reduce the number of unnecessary files on your hard disk to free up disk space and help your computer run faster, use disk cleanup. It removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

Perform a Disk Cleanup and check if a space is done in the C drive.
