How can I click on a link to open a new tab without switching to the new tab automatically?
I use my search engine Ixquick. When the result of the research is in place, whenever I click on a link, Firefox creates a new tab and change the focus of the page of search results on the page for the link that I clicked.
I want to have a new tab created, but I want to stay on the search results page to be able to continue by clicking on the other tabs of interest.
I'm new on Foxfire and this feature is very useful for me when I used Internet Explorer.
Any help will be appreciated.
You can start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
I received a bilingual file from a client (Hebrew and English). I need to remove the Hebrew pages and let the English. My problem is that the pages are always configured to read from right to left (linked right) and every difficulty that seems to be supported only if I use the Middle Eastern version of InDesign, which I am not according to me. This is not possible out of the box, but you should look at some of the incredible Add-ons available for Firefox. I prefer one called new tab King, but there are a lot of great options.
For more information, just look at the article in the Knowledge Base to find and install add-ons to add functionality to Firefox .
When I click on a link that opens a new window, it takes an unusual long time to open. (16 to 20 seconds). Even with the opening of Firefox when I turn on my laptop.
Once it is open, it works fine. I can move the document or page without any problems, it's just the opening. This does not happen when it opens a new tab. Only, when it opens a new popup page. Same thing with Firefox from opening in the morning. I did the same process in IE and has not had the same problem.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
Also, make sure that your security software is blocking windows (pop-up).
Whenever I click on hrefs lately, the new window opens with the historical pane open. I can't figure out how to disable this.
Please check if this occurs in Safe Mode
When you click on a link normally - opens a new tab, but in this version a new window opens and there is 2 blue bars - bar at the top of the browser and on the left side is a firefox button orange - next time I start firefox it crashes!
This window looks weird: there are 2 blue bars (the blue top bar - normally, there are 1, with the name of the current page and - Mozilla Firefox written in white within the bar) as well as in the 2nd bar there is an orange firefox, on the left side button.
I already asked this question and advised to start in safe mode - that did not help either.
Please help me quickliy, it's really annoying.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

From the start of Fire Fox or any time, I click on a link to open a new window or if I am in an application that opens a new window, the account login screen Google keeps opening in a new tab. How can I stop this?
-What are you talking about?
Change the setting of the home page.
In this regard (I think), Firefox only opens a new window, even if I press ctrl + N or manually, click on 'New window' in the menu.
Safe mode disables Extensions and themes (appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) installed > Add ons. Hardware acceleration is also disabled (the manual setting is in tools > Options > Advanced > general > use hardware acceleration where possible). You can try to isolate the cause of deactivation/activation of suspicious modules or try in groups.
