Specifically, I am using Sonic MQ are foreign provider JMS and Sonic have specified that only one connection will support up to 30 sessions before performance begins to degrade. I just want to know what means the WebLogic code "under the hood" to decide how many connections / sessions to create?

  Basically, a connection is created by simultaneously active thread requesting a connection. Stats of the pool are found here on the console (if my notes are correct):

  Services-> e-mail->-> [Server JMS] JMS servers->-> Pools of connections monitoring

  It could be Session Pools and no Pools of connections.
