  If you move the photo library to the TC... it might work for a while, but because of the way the library is open when you change directly a file inside the library... If wireless fails, it can let the corrupt library... Some people ignore the problem... some people take care to use it for storage and run a small library for current materials on the Mac... and Exchange libraries... which is fine... as long as you don't change on the source of the network.

  Be warned... the photos are perhaps the most valuable items on your computer, once moved to the TC you have no backup and no way Time Machine can do backups of disks of backup network... so, if you're moving not the CT library... Please make continuous backups either manually... or knowing human frailty to buy a tool like carbon copy clone which is not limited like Time Machine for disks of local backup only. You will need to know where you're going for the backup of... but if it's a USB on your computer then you are simply running it the wrong way.
